Not great. The store is pretty nice but on the older side, but it was pretty dirty. I observed several flies and bugs on the inside. I never went here when it was a Donelan's, but I have been to other Donelan's and they are definitely held to a higher standard than this store is. The store still says Donelan's inside everywhere -- not very professional.

Nice store, an operator who cares. Support locally owned businesses, that is what America is all about.

Food is over priced and the meat/poultry is almost always bad. Nothing like cutting open a whole chicken from the package and your entire kitchen immediately smells like rotten eggs. I will not purchase from there again.

Prices are high. But good store in a pinch.

Arrived 7:57pm tonight to just grab greens for a salad, and the store was already closed. Lights off, no employee in sight. Not the first time this has happened. It is nice to have a store in town, even KNOWING you will pay more. Your store is not open until 8pm every day, so please stop advertising it that way. Close at 7:30pm for all I care, but at least stay open til 7:28pm for someone to grab something quick. I believe that is kinda the point of a store in town. Outside of this complaint (that has happened more than once), I do love your market.

Great little locally owned grocery store, lots of items, good service, high quality. Awesome deli and prepared in store food items and baked goods. Slightly more expensive than a huge supermarket but you're paying for the convenience. Great place to grab a quick lunch or a take and reheat prepared meal.

They have great meat, much better than the large chains. In addition, the employees are helpful and pleasant. It's great to have a market right in town with most everything you need. The new owners are doing a good job with products and service since Donelan's left. My family is grateful to have them here!Question for the owners - Might it be possible to do take-out Indian food from the deli area? There is nothing close by.

Expired food several times, their produce is old, their prices are insane. I hate shopping at that place unless necessary. Focused now on selling alcohol, exactly what this town does not need. Run away , far away.

It is very poorly managed. The shelves are filthy and are never cleaned. They overcharge for less quality than you get at Walmart or market basket. They treat their employees awful and it is a bitter environment.

Very small selection and the meat is the worst I've seen in any grocery store. Sometimes it'll be brown on the shelf and when you get home and open the chicken it stinks. Sometimes you can get a good steak but you have to eat it that day or it'll be brown by day 2. Same thing with things like Strawberry's Sometimes they are rotten before you even open them. And for all this you pay double what any other store charges. I'll only go here if I've forgotten one or two ingredients.

I've avoided this place ever since changing owners and hearing bad things about it. But after just getting back from Hannafords and forgetting hotdogs, I decided to go here...I should have just gone anywhere else but here. Probably 1 in 4 light bulbs are burnt out in the place, including the bulbs in the food racks for the hotdogs and stuff. Then, considering the hotdogs are double the price of hannafords (3.99 vs 7.99), you would think some of that money would go back into the store. It's a shame to have a store like this in Pepperell. The quality has never been lower, all while asking such a high price. Using the pandemic and inflation as a reason to charge double and sometimes more is not acceptable. Razzaboni's changing to Donelan's long ago went just fine. But this change is for the worse. I can't imagine there's going to be much I will ever need that can make me go here again.I'll get some pictures of the sad state of lighting in the place.

Honestly, I wish it was Donelan’s again!First off, my wife saw the Bounty paper towels for $11,99 at the shelf and at the checker it showed 13,99. Open your eyes! Secondly, not enough employees.I bought a deli cut the other day that was smelling like rot fish. I hate to downgrade businesses but it was much better before it was sold.Learn something, new owner…….When you buy a running business, make it better then it used to be or the customers will not come again. Period!

Decent for a small chain supermarket. Relatively good selection for small buildings. The price of course isn't as good as the large chains but it's also convenient if you live here. I'll take the expense of a small town over the cut rates of the big block stores so I'm glad they are here. They just need to teach the kids working the seafood counter how to skin fish :*)

Still the same old store but with a different name. The employees are always friendly. The prices are always just a bit higher. I guess if you have an issue with that there is another grocery store in Townsend not far away.

7:20 and they wouldn't serve me at the deli, was told we're closing down. They close at 8:00, sad for my small town service, it's horrible. GO TO HANNAFORDS. Monday March 20th 2023

I love the convenience of having this market in town. I always find myself running in to pick up last minute items or other things we need. The prices are slightly higher but it saves me a drive and the daytime cashiers are a pleasure to be around. There are some deals to be had if you use the circular as well.

The prices are rather high but they are everywhere. I really appreciate having a grocery store in-town, as we always have.

I have been giving the "new" Pepperell Quality Market the benefit of the doubt. The prices have soared ( maybe because the pandemic not sure). However the quality of meats, veggies, fruit, are disgusting. One day home & it is all rotted. Mildewy gray.... just terrible. A complete waste of my hard earned money and time. I will be spending the extra fast and travel out of town to buy better quality and produce, meats etc.quite disappointed.klsaget better

It is a nice place to shop for groceries. I'm handicapped. So it's hard to get around or cook. They make some of the best lunches and dinners. There is so much in the meal, I have leftovers. They always have Lactaid milk. People are friendly. It's a nice hometown grocery store.

Unfortunately, this is a new ownership that seems to have little expertise as grocery store managers. Meats are sometimes brown and breads and Frozen foods are moldy. They are often out of product (. Even before the ship jams at various ports).I am hoping they improve with time and experience.

This is our local store, but having been away for several months, we had a bit of trepidation on going during the pandemic. Fortunately, everyone--employees and customers--appeared to be using masks and trying to maintain some semblance of distancing considering the store has a small footprint and rows of items can make it crowded. Also, the store is doing its best to maintain a variety of stock.

Way overpriced, freezers set wrong, old food, definitely not Donelans anymore. $4.99 for Tropicana orange juice is far more than Whole Foods. Everything is far more expensive than Donelans was. Freezers appear to have had settings changed to save a buck, as items are crusted with ice - temp too high overnight? Items such as frozen high quality Captain Mardens fish and Beyond meats are old and full of ice crystals. Produce looks limp compared to Donelans. Likely won’t be coming back again. (Update, there's a bunch of blank four star reviews by people with the last name Patel. THEY OWN THE STORE. Reported as conflict of interest. Sleazy behaviour. Did you think nobody would notice?)

Very expensive and selection is limited BUT excellent product and quality. Day staff is second to none especially in Massachusetts where it's your world and im just living in it. The night crew has 3 very hard working shift leaders but the rest are just kids who don't actually want to or need to work and it shows so if you want convenience and great quality food and General Merchandise its wonderful. Best Yet is the generic brand and it is AMAZING with 5 star taste so if u have the option buy best yet brand

Since Donelan’s left I am not sure where the quality in “Pepperell Quality Market” went. The meat is dry and old and close to expiration. The produce seems to have been picked years ago and frozen. The poultry and milk doesn’t turn over so it’s always three for four days from expiration. The only thing this place kept from Donelan’s was the high prices. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Go somewhere else, it is so disappointing because it could be so convenient and so nice.

Clear decline in quality after changing names, just purchased our 4th spoiled gallon of milk. I have let employees know more than once that their milk is out of date in the cooler but even in-date milk has been sour. Bread products are also left past date every visit, and even in-date products mold quickly and have clearly been improperly stored. Produce is no exception to this trend. Not worth the gamble to shop for perishables here.

Easily sets the record of any grocery store I've been to for amount of time that has passed since various perishables' best by date. Most of their yogurt selection was about a month past the date on the label.

Donelan's in Pepperell is everything that I could want in a grocery store. Fresh fruits and vegetables are excellent overall. The smaller scale of the store is quite refreshing, yet I've always found what I need. My only complaint is that cashiers say, "Hellohowryou?" That dumb question is either nosy -- because a stranger isn't expected to care how I really am -- or it's fake - because almost everyone says, "Fine." The nice and correct way to greet a stranger is to look her or him in the eye briefly and say, "Hello." That's real. Other than that, a great store.

This is a GREAT small town supermarket. While small, I've always found what I'm looking for. Great deli and hot food counter. In store bakery and friendly cashiers. They bag your groceries for you and a free carryout to the car is available.

I decided to give this place another chance because I shopped here for years. It was phenomenal I bought all the meat I needed for Christmas and more. Highly recommend if you want quality meat.

Can't beat the convenience. very friendly staff. Not the widest selection but they do carry all the basics and a lot of specialty items. Meat quality is very good, especially considering their size. Salad bar and some hot foods also.
