Pembroke Ace store Manager was rude. Rotating staff.Manager Refused to take my coupon because it was in my husband’s name and I was quote “obviously not David”. How does she know I’m not David, you never know, People need to be careful what they say these days. Especially store managers!! Customer behind me was shocked at her behavior as well. I left my items on the counter and went to Hanson Ace, they took my coupon no problem. FYI: Hanson Ace takes all their coupons for a year from expiration date. I love that!!Pembroke Ace Foolishly lost a regular customer.

A nice alternative to those 2 huge chain stores (which I also shop at). I usually make this place my first stop for general hardware needs, hand tools, paint, etc. The only time I go elsewhere is for materials or lumber for larger projects, or when I need something after 7:00PM.I should be used to it by now, but it still blows my mind when I come here for some unusual or hard to find part that I assume it's too obscure for them to have in stock, and yet in almost every case I find myself out the door and Menace with everything I need. Pretty impressive for a smaller store to have that great a selection.It's one of the few places that sends out flyers that I bother to flip through because they usually have a few "door-buster" items on special that are fantastic deals, and often cheaper than you'll find online.

I would not do business with this store. For years I have used this hardware store, but I will never be back. I called at 5:10PM to find out if they were operating normal hours and if they were filling propane tanks. I was told they were open till 6:00PM as usual and to arrive by 5:30PM to have the tank filled. I made a special trip and was there before 5:30PM. A staff member was by the filling station when I pulled up and looked right at me. He went inside before I could even get out of my car. Inside after waiting in line the cashier, who I spoke with on the phone told me it was now 5:30PM and they would not fill it. I asked for a manager, who smugly said it was 5:32PM, but wait 10 minutes and they might do it. Immediately the manager spoke with the guy who had been outside. This guy immediately came to me and told me to come back tomorrow, so I left. My son went back in the speak with the manager and was told to leave, that she offered to fill it in ten minutes, but I was rude and left which was untrue. I was happy to wait but was told to come back the next day. This was sheer arrogance and deplorable customer service. In a time people are looking for business and are out of work this establishment should be avoided at all cost, there are plenty of good businesses that can use your support.

Today I purchased a shower pipe wall plate that was too small to place over the shower pipe. I looked up this item for Ace Hardware and found another one that was larger. Called the store and it was not in stock. Mentioned I would have to return item instead of exchange. They said NO RETURNS. Two weeks ago I exchanged an item that was also the wrong size, after their staff said it was the right item. Went to the store and would not take back the item. I would not recommend shopping at this store because they are not customer sensitive and would not take back an item that was less than $2.00. There are other HW stores that bear the name ACE that are much better in their customer service. I strongly recommend not sharing your hard earned cash at this location (Ace - Pembroke, MA) I left the item on their counter which the manager immediately took up. I also pointed out that one one package the diameter of the pipe for the plate was OD, and the other ID. Very confusing.

Nice relatively spacious store. The staff was a bit young at night at least. I only mention that incase you needed to ask some serious advice or for knowledgeable help regarding anything that takes ample experience to know. You may have a hard time getting those answers

Good local hardware store, everything you need can be found here in the quantity you need (you can by individual nuts, bolts and screws). The staff is knowledgeable and eager to assist customers. The prices are very competitive and product is easy to find. The store is easily visible from the road.

Manager let us rent a steam cleaner, we bring it home and it's not a steam cleaner, we clean it after attempting to use it for our needs anyway and he still charges us a cleaning fee. Total scam, save your money and go elsewhere.

Came in about a week ago and the guy that was working was horribly rude to me. They were not busy. It's a pattern that I have noticed at this store over some time now, but it was never as blatant as this last time. I won't be going here again and will advise others not to as well

I love Lowes but this is my favorite smaller local hardware store. Good customer service and though small, if one is careful still some good deals to be had.

I think the manager there is very rude and he talks to people like idiots...... I was in there with a associate and he was very helpful but needed help so he asked the guy a question and he talked down to both of us like we were stupid and we asked a simple question..... I will never go back I will drive the extra and go to Lowes

I was at this location today and I left due to disrespect occurred with my elder mother . The attendant fixing products yelled at my mother instead of giving her directions how to get a product needed . If they are not capable of been kind and patience you should not work in customer service .
