I never leave reviews but I feel like I had to today - I just set up a new tank and went in with no real idea of what I wanted to put in. In comes Elias. This was one of the best customer service interactions I’ve had as of recent… Elias was super friendly, knew every answer to every question I asked, and you could tell just how passionate about their job Elias was. I left with a vanilla lobster and some cichlids and a whole lot of new knowledge - seriously a great overall day at Petco and Petco is lucky to have an employee like Elias! I’ll be back for sure because of them and how awesome the experience was!

I pop in here from time to time to buy the discount toys and pup clothing for my pup Patty, he loves his shirts. The staff is super nice always and professional. Also setup very nice for covid too.

The employees are top notch. My favorite is talking to the aquatic department, there's a gentleman that's very passionate about each fishes well being, so cute. I over heard an employee changing a bird cage and talking sweetly to them. Clean store, great selection, best employees

Excellent I brought my puppy in for her haircut, because of the weather we have had and the weather coming up I had them shave her down within a 1/8". I looks great on her but I think I will go 1/4" next time I shave her for the summer.

I bring my animals here to get there nails trimmed.y dogs don't like it here they hate there feet touched. But the staff is very kind it takes 2 people to cut my dogs nails one to comfort her and one to trim her nails. There so good to my dogs I absolutely love how kind they are. The prices have recently went up unfortunately but it's still the best priced place for a nail trim and a buff. I highly recommend nail trimming here. The dog tag engraver machine is amazing I have like 10 of there tags they are great quality.

Pet Co pembroke is my local pet store. I am a loyal customer to say the least, I buy any products for my dog and fish there and pet parents know…they’re expensive! I unfortunately had a bad experience with the store manager Steve. I went to Pet Co Sunday 11/10 because I was testing my water and it was showing my water was too hard. I went to Pet Co to ask them how I can solve this issue and they gave me a special filter bag (for lack of a better term) and suggested I do a 60% water change. Before this my fish was acting fine,although I still wanted her water quality to test well. After the water change my fish immediately started experiencing new tank syndrome and attempting to hop out of her tank and kill herself. She successfully hopped out of her tank 3 times and I had to pick her up off the ground and put her back in her tank, it was horrifying. She was refusing food and was unable to swim normally. I called multiple times to try and get in touch with Steve, the store manager, with no word from him until ~3 days later. I spoke with him, explained what had happened, and that this was not the first time Pet Co’s advice has lead to one of my fish dying.The first time I asked if it would be wise to add a snail to my tank for my first fish Lucky and the young guy working was happy to give me multiple snails and charge for one. I was thrilled, but soon Lucky died because the change in environment was too much. Then I purchased Cheeky and Franklin, two beta fish, one female, one male. I was under the impression that putting together a female and male would be safe because males are emphasized to have territorial behavior. The woman ringing me up didn’t ask me any questions but I did not either, my mistake. Cheeky killed Franklin, he didn’t last a couple days. After explaining all this to Steve he explained to me that he has worked there for 23 years and this has NEVER happened, so my experience was completely invalidated. He was much more concerned with “if it had been 30 days since the purchase” because if its past 30 days there is “nothing they can do”. I am pretty disappointed in how unprofessional he was, good for you Steve for standing by your co-workers, but terrible job maintaining friendly, caring, professionalism. If you’re going to pet co to get goods like dog food and treats, whatever, but! I advice you to steer CLEAR from this location if you want any help learning to care for your pets and be educated enough to give them a healthy life. They don’t care and Steve’s a condescending a** hole! I will now be traveling out of the way to make any purchases what so ever. I am officially a PetSmart B****Katie at Pet Smart in Plymouth on the other hand was very knowledgeable, patient, and kind, even with my “dumber” questions. I recommend her for any questions concerning your fish.

The store is always clean, stocked and organized. In particular, I have dealt with the same customer service rep who is always so pleasant and helpful. In this scary climate, as a nurse, I was so impressed that she took the time to wipe down the card scanner and counter where the previous customer just was. I felt comfortable doing my transaction there, noting the floor was marked with a professional marking with a Petco sign and line marker and she was also wearing mask. Not to mention the dog food size bag I needed was in stock with coupons on display!

My Great Dane hates water unless it's in a bowl. So you can imagine bath time is impossible. Petco is a great solution!! The value of the cost for having a groomed and sweet smelling pup is so worth it! Scheduling is a cinch and I don't need to worry about a thing as they treat my pup like he was their own. He comes out happy and emotionally healthy and not smelling like a dirty dog anymore.

Simple and easy. I decided to go into the store for my pickup to insure that it was what I wanted due to the no returns policy. The staff did point out that I could have had my items brought to the car if I chose.

Horrific encounter when trying to make a simple purchase. 4 staff, error compounding error, no common sense and dismissive of anything I said. Kafkaesque. The worst retail experience I have ever had, over a simple purchase.

Discriminated against me a few years ago. Hired me knowing i have learning disabilities and he said you'll get 90 days trial. Gave me 3 said i was too slow. I was 18 and this was my first job. Tried to explain myself and he didnt like how i kept asking and asking for reassurance to make sure i was doing the job right. Down right discrimination and lying. Hanover store is just as bad

Petco Pembroke has the cleanest aquariums!today I asked "Steve" who took care of the aquariums and he said he did but was quick to add it's the culture of the store as everyone works really hard especially Wayne the store manager he leads by example. Great experience.

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas! How can I be of assistance to you today w a cheery smiling face! All things you shouldn’t expect when making a trip to Petco Pembroke when Store Manager Jason is on. That’s ok …. Their Hanover store is right down the street which is where I went after leaving the Pembroke store. They were more than happy to exchange an item for me that the Pembroke store Jason wouldnt and they also got a large retail purchase from me too and all my future purchases. You won’t catch me in the Pembroke store where rude, salty grinch like Manager Jason is! Why go there when I can be treated w a smile right down the street at PetSmart or the other Petco. I know people can have a bad day here and there and I realize that but I’ve seen Jason be unpleasant before. Man this guy really hates his job! With everyone looking for jobs these days I don’t understand why they have to settle for him.
