I give them my money for paper towels and paper plates way cheaper then I hay other big store in the area. I'm not into supporting a place that makes you check-out yourself and then they follow you like a hawk to read your receipt. Provide more cashier's and you wouldn't have as big of a theft problem in this other storeI like the smaller stores when it comes to the papers and plates I use at my house.3/19/24Went into for paper towels and air freshener. Their brand works just as well as the more expensive ones.They aroma on them is so clear and well balanced. Never to over powering and each can is actually one dollar. It's my secret product they sell that is a must have for me. The cans always work down to the very end of the can. Not like the other more expensive ones. Half the time the cans don't spray and it's a waste of money. The paper towel rolls are quite large and a six count last me almost a month. I'm very happy to leave my money there for products that are worth buying.Thank you.

I'm a fan of DG stores, but this one has much room for improvement. The store itself is very messy & unkept. Merchandise scattered about & not in it's proper place throughout the entire store. It can be very challenging to get down the aisles with a shopping cart, because they have piles of merchandise needing to be stocked that's just taking up space, and often blocking the pathways of the aisles. I've had other customers complain to me about it, as we proceeded to try making our way around the store without repeatedly bumping into things. Sometimes they also leave those carts which have items to be stocked on them in the center of the aisles as well. This is not only inconvenient, it's actually dangerous, because someone could get hurt with all of the stuff in the way, by tripping over piles or otherwise! It's more like an obstacle course, or a poorly done maze! Definitely needs some tlc & someone to help organize their merchandise, for easier shopping experiences. If I want to shop Dollar General, I'll go to a different location. What they do have is reasonably priced, but it's such a mess, I can't stand coming here, because more time is spent avoiding the clutter than actually shopping. Some sales associates are friendly, others seem like they'd rather be doing just about anything than assisting customers in checkout. I suggest you hire new employees & clean up your store! Maybe try not leaving boxes of products in your aisles for starters!

I haven't been in this store in 8 months because it was one hot mess. Just went in there yesterday and It was clean and organized. The new Manger is doing a good job.

Okay I guess I have a habit of losing my wallet here. Almost a year ago to the date I had lost my wallet and recently I lost my wallet and phone and Jose was awesome going on a hunt with me to find it. He could clearly see how upset I was. Turns out it had fallen out of my purse when I placed my purse in the car and they were both on the floor. Thank you Jose for taking the time to help me search. Dollar General you need to take care of this employee he is a good one! Jose sending you lots of thanks and appreciation. Keep up the great work.A year agoI just want to thank the staff from the bottom my heart for finding my wallet in the parking lot and getting it back to me untouched. There are still wonderful people in the world. ...I’m so glad to have dollar general in our town. Someone has good values there ....they should be example for everybody else.

The store is always a mess, product on floors, small isles blocked with large carts of product. The shelves are in disarray, nothing stocked. Only 2 people working, one as cashier and the other one the sales floor trying to help customers locate product in disarray while she is trying to organize store. I would shop there more but with the mess It can be not worth the effort. It's ashame for for the cost of an extra employee 3 - 4 hrs a week to clean up and gain more customers.

Haven't been a fan of this location since it opened. The lot is small, and the store is jam packed and claustraphobic. Prices are good, but doesn't make up for the dark interior and close, confusing aisles.Had a panic attack the first time I walked in and have only been back once. Despite it not being as crowded with customers the second time the experience was no better.

This store started off on the right foot. I don’t know what has happened since but the last two times I went there, it looked like a hurricane, tornado and tsunami tore through the store. Boxes haphazardly placed in the aisles, so much so that you can’t even access many of the items you came to purchase. The place is a disaster. I used to think the store was convenient, well stocked and well run. Now I don’t even want to waste my time with this place.

I am trying to be kind and understanding because of Covid. I can't tell you exactly why, but this place was a little creepy. No shopping carts to be found. I guess I could have found one in the parking lot. Crazy arrows on the floor had me spinning in circles. People with their masks on their chins looking like idiots. Racks and boxes of inventory everywhere but on the shelves. The employees were very friendly and I believe completely overwhelmed. It was kind of icky overall.

I would give a zero the only reason I'm not is a single cashier that tried her best to give great customer service but was blocked in ALL her effort by other employees. Hidden prices on everything. Nothing is properly tagged, sales tags aren't taken down and they refuse to honor what is marked on it as a price nor will they honor the sale price of a item if THEY didn't remove the price tag with the sale amount. The store is cramped , dirty and unorganized then to too it off the employee's lack a ounce of common sense when it come to customer service. This store is a total joke. It's worth the drive to East Brookfield store. It's a beautiful store with amazing customer service.

Not easy to shop any more. The ailse are always full of merchandise to be put out but no employees to put out new merchandise. The only employee you see is at the register. I love this store. I wish they would get it looking nice and easy to shop again.

Always half empty shelves with boxes all in the aisles. Very difficult to maneuver, especially if pushing a cart- limited selection at best. But staff is isually pretty friendly.

Love the staff.. When they first opened and the employees that are still there from day one ARE THE BEST. Krista kathy Tyler Ty Regina.... Not real fond of the two new people hate to say. Prices are great also... Just feel management should help them out by sending people in on an overnight shift to help stock. The store is busy and they Do DESERVE THE HELP..

Product all over store in boxes & totes. Shelves were a mess. This is a recurring theme with this store.One employee working without a mask & singing as he did so. Even if you have medical excuse for not wearing a mask there are sheilds available to help protect people .

Nice store but the location is problem because it's so tidy. yes nice though but isle small unlike big y and ocean State job lot. The employee over charge me. the ups numbers match the barcode for. One dollar so the register lady said it supposed to be 1.75 she also will not honor the shelf price as she rip it off. So watch your total do quick math by your cellphone as you see the price and take a picture of it. so she can't turn you down.

Good service. Lots of items. Movie prices aren't proportionate to the movies and their value. Good for most other items though. And they have apple shampoo when nobody else does.

The checkout line was literally through the whole store. There was about 17 people in line that I could see with one register open n running. The shelves are often empty of the products your looking for, meanwhile there are usually boxes of products everywhere that just need to be stocked.

I have never been to a dollar general with stock carts all throughout the store. It obstructs not only the movement of customers but obstructs the shelves. I've beem there three times now and each time its this way. I'm not sure if they have a back room or not. Sadly I feel it degrades Palmer. Stores don't look like this even in Springfield.

What a shitshow. Three employees behind the counter, there's quite a line, the only cashier screwed something up on somebody else's transaction and nobody else knew how to ring. The cashier did not acknowledge me in the slightest when it was my turn, instead just continued to complain about whatever she messed up prior to whom I assume was the MOD. No customer service skills present in the building.As a retail manager myself for a chain similar to this one, I get written up if ONE of my aisles aren't ADA compliant. This entire STORE isn't ADA complaint and it hasn't been the three times I've dared go in. Forget taking a cart, you'll have to abandon it. The aisles are about a foot wide.Recovery nightmares at every turn. Boxes all over the floor. Some stacked 5 high, some just carelessly tossed down a black hole in hopes it'll put itself out. Serious tripping hazards. Countless u-boats strewn down every single aisle. Nobody working out the merchandise. You can't shop their shelves, they're blocked by ALL the stuff they haven't managed to put out. I don't see any hustle on this building. Why?This store isn't shoppable and the prices aren't so great that you can forgive an irritating shopping experience. In fact, they prices are pretty on par with what you'd pay elsewhere. I don't consider them a great value, they're just more convenient than Wal-Mart.Pay me enough and I'll manage this dump myself properly. From somebody else in the field: Not acceptable.

Great prices, horrid employees and a huge mess, nothing is clean not there bathrooms or the aisles. Could barely make it down the aisles because of the mess and the music was so loud I could barely think let alone shop. I like the process but I won't be back to shop here

It is what it is, which, is a dollar store, so that usually means it's hit or miss as far as having what you want/need, and the stock changes constantly as expected. That being said, the prices are generally good and I have found the staff to be awesome 99 percent of my time 🙂

The place is a mess. The music is to loud in one corner of the store. The prices are good so they got that going for them. The parking lot is a horrible design. There is often an odd smell in there. Not sure what it is.

This Dollar General in Palmer is a total Mess!! Unopened boxes down every aisle so you can't go down the aisles. The one in Springfield on Allen St is much more organized and cleaner.

This store is packed with stuff. The employees are nice and helpful. I go there often. They have some good buys. The isles can be pretty packed at times.

I really got to say I enjoy the workers here they are always polite and helpful but I also have to say they really need to organize this place it always looks like a mother of a tornado went up and down back and forth through the whole place other than that it's a normal dollar general

I love the new store! I've already saved by shopping there. It's a nice clean well organized store. They have a bit of everything there.
