This is my favorite type of place for lunch on a warm day! I was on my way to lunch further north but noted Rondeau's and planned to stop on my way back. I'm so glad I did! The black raspberry shake was perfect for the drive home!Now I HAVE to go back for lunch!

Always great service. Fantastic ice cream and food options.Very happy with the strawberry shortcake sundae I ordered. I am always happy with whatever I order. I have never been disappointed at Rondeau's. I highly recommend stopping for a whole meal or a quick treat!

Really lovely dairy bar. I'm glad i stopped in over the summer. Ice cream is fantastic. Hot dogs and fries were also delicious. They have the basics, and they do them well. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. Look for the blue cow!Parking: Small parking lot, plenty of space when I went, but I can see how it could fill up fast.

I've eaten here twice now. A whole belly clam roll and a chili cheese dog. both were very good. My only issue is they use liquid cheeze instead of real.

The best summer spot to go for quality food. Had to go opening day this year and get my usual hit dogs. Everyone is always friendly and in a good mood and the food never ever disappoints. Tons of bird nests by the picnic tables it's nice. They're at the BigE every year, too..Edit 4/16/20I can't believe I would have anything bad to say about this place, but here we go. It's take out only because of the virus, which is fine, so we called in the order and it was read back to us fine. 2 hot dogs, one plain and one ketchup mustard relish onion (like the previous picture I posted, it's my go-to). One order of onion rings and one order of cheese fries with cheese on the side. Like I said, it was repeated back to him fine. We got the rings in a separate container and EVERYTHING else shoved into another container. And there was no side of cheese for the cheese fries... but there WAS cheese on my hot dog. Really?? It's not a chilly cheese dog... and a hot dog isn't really that hard of an order to read what toppings go on it.... I'll post a picture of it below. We're just still both shaking our heads. I reccomend to check your orders before u leave the parking lot from now on..

A nice, roadside ice cream place with food. I dont tend to get food at these types of places so I can only speak to the quality of their ice cream.Very New Englandy with plenty of unique flavors (Alvina Tracks, Chocolate Lovers Trash, Mystery to Me) as well as classic flavors of hard ice cream. They proudly say that they do not carry soft serve and will never carry it. Prices seem fair for the homemade quality and sizes.The staff was very kind and I really appreciated that they had one person attending to customers and taking orders while others made and served the food. All staff wore the appropriate amount of PPE (gloves, masks, hair ties/covering) and the place seemed very neat and clean for outdoors.

I took family for ice cream and the staff was friendly and ice cream very good. My wife had a cheeseburger and enjoyed her meal. There are plenty of picnic tables.

Great ice cream....quite expensive..one small scoop of icecream and a vanilla milkshake...pennies short of $13.00... food was ok...brand new picnic tables...its about time old ones were pretty shabby....will go back...but with prices high it won't be often..

Great everything! Have been going here since I was a little girl and my Grandpa Nick would take all my brothers, sisters and cousin and we would all squeeze into his small car. No seatbelts then!!! Awesome homemade icecream 🙂🍨

While waiting in line they screwed up someone's order bad to the point to where the Mgr came out and sat with the people for 10 mins after fixing it. ( got a feeling based on the hiring skills he does this alot )Then it was my turn, I ordered a LG coconut ice cream Sunday with marshmallow sauce hot fudge and strawberries as a topping.What I got was a strawberry ice cream with coconut toppings mixed into it, hot fudge, strawberries, and to make it worse, they gave me a small cup stacked ontop of another small cup placed inside of a large empty cup.NEVER AGAIN

Rondeau's is awesome. Of course, I grew up with Rondeau's, it was my first job, too. Grandson of the founder runs it. He does ice sculptures at times as well. Ice cream is great, as well as their hot dogs, fries, and grinders (subs/hoagies/heroes). Delicious banana splits! Worth the stop!

I came here with 2 other people the other day closer to closing time. We were the type of people that weren't quite sure what we actually wanted, yet the employees were all very polite and has smiles on their faces offering to answer any questions. Amazing service and the ice cream was also very delicious! Thank you! 😄

Nice place but food wasn’t that great. At least not what I ordered. I got a steak grinder n they topped it with so much cheese sauce ( cold ) I couldn’t even eat it.

I have lived in Ware since April 2013. During the summer season I always see a crowd of cars there, but up until today I never tried it because I prefer soft serve ice cream. They do not sell any soft serve,; they say never have, never will. Now, after giving their homemade ice cream a try, I clearly know why they always have alot of customers there. I ordered a single scoop which was like a scoop & one half of the flavor blueberry cheesecake in a sugar cone. The best ice cream I ever ate, in my life and I turn 67 this year. The ice cream was so soft and delicious I ate it all in moments a top pleasure! I will definitely be back for more.

Rondeau's is not only a great spot for a quick bite or ice cream, it's also been a childhood staple for me. I grew up in Palmer, and have been coming to Rondeau's ever since I was a young child with my parents and sometimes grandparents. They offer a nice assortment of food such as hot dogs, burgers, seafood, chicken sandwiches & more! I love their honey lemon chicken sandwich. Unlike many other roadside restaurants, Rondeau's only features hard ice cream & no soft serve style. They have a good sized list of flavors as well, including pumpkin, cotton candy & rum raisin. They have common flavors as well as some unique ones. Sometimes during warmer days, it can get very crowded, but the lines usually move right along. Services is always great. I've only had one negative experience here & it was when I ordered a milkshake years ago that was very thin, & tasted more like chocolate milk than a shake. But other than that, it's always been a great place. I have been countless times & with only the one time that I didn't enjoy my shake, they still have earned 5 stars from me. Always delicious, always pleasant servers & a positive experience. Food orders are done in a timely fashion, plenty of seating with picnic tables. They also have a porta potty on site for customer's convenience & plenty of parking. Handicapped accessible also. Prices are very affordable. I would definitely recommend coming here for anyone who wants great food or ice cream! *Note: Rondeau's is only open during certain months, it is a seasonal restaurant, usually beginning in March/April & closing sometime in the later part of the year, around early Fall I believe.* Try their cider donuts, you won't be disappointed!

Nice spot with good prices. Great to relax on picnic benches on a nice day. I had the rainbow sorbet and loved it. A good variety of flavor options for ice cream and plenty of foods to choose from. I want to go back again to try a sherbert shake!

This is the perfect place to grab a meal during this Pandemic that we all are dealing with. You can easily practice social distancing being that this is a drive in and you are safe inside your vehicle.The seafood is always fresh ( never frozen )and there are several other items to choose from on the menu.At Alvin Rondeaus you can also enjoy several different ice cream options with more flavors than probably any other place in the area.This place has been open in town for decades and it keeps getting better.I highly recommend Alvin Rondeau's Dairy Bar. Bring the Family.

Really cute small town place. Lots and lots of food choices, tons of ice cream and sundaes. If you're anywhere nearby it's worth the stop. Very close to routes 20 and 32. Friendly staff, quick service. We came from out of town for a soccer ⚽ match and were so glad to find Alvin's place in the way home.

Just ok. The seafood seems fresh but the portions are fairly small and the quality is questionable. The clams are very small, supposed to be " whole belly"- I didn't see any bellies.same for scallops. The fries are pre-packaged and battered. They load you up on the French fries which is a cheap trick.I wish there was a reliable place for seafood out here.

I've been going here most of my life, it's great. A nice family run business with a ton of food and ice cream choices. The ice cream is all hand made, and don't ever think about asking for soft serve. They never had it and never will.

Today was a beautiful day for ice cream!!! One of us had peach - - so good. I chose "Mystery To Me". Staff asked if I preferred chocolate mystery or fruit mystery. My fruity mysterywas amixof strawberry - banana- key lime pie - black raspberry and oraney Pineapple. ALL STACKED UP! Best ice cream ever. Thanks so much for the great service and ice cream.

Just stopped in to get a shake! Most places use flavored syrup and whatnot. The Dairy Bar used real ingredients in my strawberry shake. I highly recommend everyone stop in at least once. You really get what you pay for.

Here's a good spot. If you happen to be in this area around lunch time, give this place a try. They've been around for 80 years. A good lunch menu including fresh seafood. Great ice cream.

A different experience seeing all that is going on at this time in the world. People were still friendly and even though there were a good number of people the wait wasn't that long. Enjoy the maple nut. Was hoping to get a taste of the sugar free vanilla but they were out. Will have to try again next time.
