I've been taking my pets here for over a decade. The technicians and doctors are always very kind to them. They scrolled appointments quite soon when I call them and email me the results and receipts within a couple of days of my visits. Have emailed PDF receipts and doctors notes makes it very easy for me to submit classrooms to my pet insurance. One of my cats is very nervous when we have to go to the vet, but one of the technicians (Eric) there is so kind to him, he calms down during the visit, and we are talking about a literal scardy cat here :p.They also still practice good covid security measures with making still required and plastic barriers all along the cash registers so it is safe when dealing with the reception. The also offer curb side assistance upon request. And this is on 06/15/22 when most places act like covid is over and have dropped all safety measures.I'm glad this place is only 5 minutes from where I live.

Brought my new kitten here and from the initial visit to neutering it was one of the easiest, smoothest experiences I've had with a vet ever. Every one was so extremely nice, helpful and extremely patient with an anxious cat and an even more anxious owner. I'm more at ease knowing if I ever have a question or concern they will be able to help. I can recommend them fully

They (usually) get the job done but put up a lot of hurdles to getting medications cheaper (eg from Chewy for flea/tick) - they really want you to pay extra going directly through them. Office staff not helpful, and today was the final straw - we needed them for a minor issue with our dog and they told us to just go to Tufts as they have no availability all week (it’s Monday…) Not a dependable service I guess, so we’ve made an appointment elsewhere and will be switching vet providers.I don't see how to reply to your response so I'll leave it here. It was a woman - don't recall the name - that I spoke with. If you had availability and I was told you didn't, then I'm not surprised they didn't somehow log the call. We got an appointment elsewhere and are moving on. Thanks.

I have been bringing my dog here only since Covid happened. They are very professional and responsive considering the situation we have been in. He has been seen for both a sick and well visit and the staff and doctors have been very helpful and communicative. Appointments are easy to get compared to other veterinary offices from what I hear from friends and family.

I’m a bit of a helicopter parent to say the least. I try my best not to be an annoying client, but sometimes I can’t help myself in regards to my fur child. Norwood animal hospital’s staff has always been so patient and lovely with the both of us, through the little “insignificant” visits to the bigger, scarier ones. I cannot praise everyone who works here enough, their considerate care for my dog reassures me every time he needs work done or needs to stay. Which happens quite a bit as he’s a senior dachshund. As someone who has worked with animals professionally for around five years now too, I can confidently say they’re some of the best of the bunch.

I'm a recent transplant from Washington and needed to bring my dog in for his shots. I never write reviews but my experience has been so bad that I feel compelled to in order to keep other poor souls away from here. Here's been my experience thus far:1. Overpriced care (shots probably double the cost of similar care in Washington)2. Lack of honesty around pet ages to convince you to pay for expensive unnecessary tests3. Rude and pretentious front desk staff (I've paid them about a grand for basic care thus far and see them for a max of 10 minutes total, the least they could do is not be rude)4. Forcing me to obtain a physical copy of my Simparica Trio prescription (that they recommended) so I can mail it to Chewy instead of uploading the electronic copy themselves (presumably to encourage me to buy from them instead)Overall, less-than-average care for a higher price. I highly recommend going to a smaller and family-owned clinic as their higher quality of care and customer service provides them the customer base necessary to avoid cost-hikes and predatory practices. I will be moving my pet to another vet after my dog gets his last round of shots.

Pleasant and knowledgeable staff! Our technian was so cheerful and made coming to the vet a positive experience for us as well as our baby! It was nice to feel compassion and comfort in what is usually a stressful environment. Thank you for your care!

I very rarely write any reviews especially a negative one. But I was a customer at Norwood Animal Hospital with our dogs for over 15 years. This is NOT the same place, new owners, staff and Vets. Very disappointed with them after a recent experience with Jessica on the phone, she is pleasant but not helpful!! I will not be going back!! I was upset with my conversation with her and I set up appointment with new Vet and asked to have the MR sent to the new Vet. Jessica was sure to add into the MR a negative slant on our conversation and of course left out my apology for being upset with the situation.Your response as expected did not acknowledge the unnecessary comments that Jessica added to the MR she sent to the new vet, if it is the practice to add every conversation to the MR why did she leave out the final conversation where I apologized for being upset with the situation. Also of note the "old" Norwood Animal Hospital had no issue with my request to refill my pets medication, they were more concerned with the health of my pet, than the need for a visit, which technically she was not due for until Dec of 2023. The real issue was that I was getting the refill through Pet Source and not through you.

They over charge ridiculous amounts. Charge extra if your dog is 7. Tell you on the phone that your visit will be between 300 and 400 and get charged 749 for a well visit with shots. Added the visit the the shots nexguard and spray came to about 401 and then they charged me an extra 349. This was a great place when Dr Carpenter owned it. Will never go back

We brought our almost 1.5 year old golden retriever here for her annual checkup and the first thing the vet said as she walked in was your dog is “chunky”. We’ve never met this particular vet but my boyfriend and I were not happy with the way she handled this situation. Our female golden weighs about 61 lbs and we do not feel she has ever been overweight or “chunky”. It left a bad taste in our mouth about this place.

The staff at Norwood Animal Hospital are simply amazing. Dr. Man is one of the most caring Vets that I’ve ever met. She remembers my animals names and any issues they have. Mary at the front desk is always so friendly and will try to accommodate your schedule. The techs are always going above and beyond to make both me and my pets feel very comfortable.

I have been taking my puppy here for all routine care since she came home with us last June, including immunizations, exams & a recent spay procedure. They have a curbside protocol implemented during covid, which is actually reassuring, and I have been able to speak with office manager regarding scheduling & billing, technicians, and our veterinarian Dr Oram over the phone during at every visit. Everyone is super nice. My puppy is in excellent shape, and Norwood Animal Hospital has been responsive to any of my questions that have arisen along the way as a new puppy owner. Highly recommended. :-]

Nicest people in this clinic. It’s very difficult to get appointments these days and they accepted me the same day with my sick dog. Prices are fairly reasonable with all considering but the most important thing for me was the patience of the doctors and staff towards the million questions I had and the prompt phone response. My dog was happy and treated really well.Thank you!

My dog loves Norwood Animal Hospital! As soon as we pull into the parking lot he gets very excited! He loves the technicians and goes to them without hesitation, wagging his tail, and never looking back at me! The front desk staff, techs, and vets, are extremely friendly, thoughtful, and informative and have quick response time to all my questions and needs! My dog and I have nothing but great experiences with Norwood Animal Hospital.!

The care of pets doesn't come into play in this review. It comes from the lack of understanding and inability to assist a customer, referred to them for a situation. Poor human skills and ability to get answers that could help a situation.

The staff at Norwood Animal Hospital are fantastic. I had the unfortunate experience that my beloved cat died three days after moving to Norwood. Norwood Hospital staff was compassionate and friendly when I visited them to help me dispose of my poor kitty. In a subsequent visit with my other cat, they were amazing. My cat is usually very skittish and nervous, but they made her feel comfortable. She had the best vet visit of her life at Norwood Animal Hospital.

They make my dog get unnecessary blood tests for $300, or they won't give her seizure meds. Also 2 MONTHS after mask restrictions are removed, they STILL don't allow ANYONE in the building!!! Thanks so much for traumatizing my dog, ripping me off, and wasting my time. This vet has been HORRIBLE after the old Dr. retired. I'm in the process of finding a new vet for my 13y.o. dog after 11 years. Aggravating to say the least.

I brought my fresh little Rudy min pin in to see Dr. C and the ladies the other day. He was a brat but the Doctor and staff were not! They checked him out - did the usual (found he gained a bit too much weight in the last year - my bad) and all was good. It's always a pleasure to see a great team in action. Smiles and all. Thanks for all the great care you give my 4 dogs.

The staff at Norwood Animal Hospital have adapted their services during this pandemic to provide the best service possible under these circumstances. From handing off my beloved Stewie in the parking lot, to receiving a call from the techs, then specifically a call from the doctor and even the payment process... everything is done efficiently and with as much support and care possible. As much as I miss being with Stewie in person at his appointment, the staff take the best of care of my beloved fur baby.

I would highly recommend Norwood animal hospital! The entire staff is very friendly and make you feel confident that your pet is going to be well cared for and throughly checked while there. They always answer the phone after just a few rings and the techs and vets are always available every time I called to answer any questions I had about appointments or care.

I don't recommend this place, they are very materials and they don't care about your pet, all they care about is charging you for unnecessary prescriptions. My cat is an indoor cat, on my first visit they try to sell me a flea control for $75 and ear anibiotic for $45 and my cat ear was only itching and even the doctor did a test and found no infection or mites. Neuter surgery was way higher than the estimate they gave me. They also charged me $80 for a pain killer, when I asked the doctor to write a prescription so I can get it from another pharmacy, they refuse to do so. I didn't have a good feeling going there, never again.

Dr. Carpenter has semi retired so don't bring your pet there thinking it is the same place. My dog is no longer here because of the horrible care from the new vets on staff.I went there for almost 10 years but without Dr. Carpenter, no one cared and I was left on my own with a very sick dog. I want to save everyone else from heartbreak - do not bring your pet to Norwood Animal Hospital.

You're only as good as your worst reviews right? I've learned that's not always the case. Great doctors, super friendly staff, and late and Saturday appointments make this place pretty convenient.I used to go here a long time ago but stopped due to one of the doctors on staff. Apparently he's retired now which made me want to give it another shot. Glad I did.

So many thank you to all the staff at Norwood Animal.... we had an emergency with a very sad ending and every person I met there was so kind, comforting and understanding all the way. It was not an easy day and they helped me thru it all. Later When I received a card from the facility signed by all it touched me immensely. Thank you all!
