Great small cafe. They have amazing bread and baked goods. One of the best in Northampton and they have been there a long time and are always busy so you know it's good. They have a large variety of drinks and baked goods. Highly recommend trying the cafe out they have something for everyone. Just be aware it is popular and does get busy but your never waiting too long for your drink.Parking: Parking lot across the street

HEAR ME OUT. I’m a mega-fan of this place. Seriously. It deserves way more than 3 stars. I’ve been going here since it opened many moons ago. But here’s the thing: THE reason for going here is for the RASPBERRY OATMEAL MUFFIN. Not this inferior mixed berry nonsense. They took perhaps the best muffin in the history of the existence of muffins and took away its magic, and jammed in some lesser berries. I’ve waited patiently for over 2.5 years now, I’ve called and talked to many people about this every few months, but to no avail. I get that prices might be crazy, so then charge double for it, I beg of thee! Right this wrong! Undo this terrible assault to muffindom! Please, PLEASE, for the love of what’s GOOD, BRING BACK THE RASPBERRY OATMEAL MUFFIN. Use extra raspberries not less. Don’t cut corners here! I’m ready to give you SIX stars, I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!P.S. to any fools still reading my rant, this place is genuinely awesome, all the baked goods are bomb, the coffee drinks are insanely tasty, and the employees are so kind. Even the mixed berry muffin I so besmirch is solid. But having tasted perfection, it just doesn’t compare. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

my all-time favorite coffee shop! they have the best atmosphere, high quality food and drinks at fairly reasonable prices! So many baked goods, including fresh breads and lots of GF and vegan options. They have a variety drinks (coffee drinks, apple cider, iced and hot tea, steamers, hot cocoa, kombucha, smoothies, etc.) so even if you don't like coffee you'll find something, and they have breakfast and lunch sandwiches that are SO GOOD. it's a cozy place that always feels warm and inviting, 10/10, my go-to spot!I recommend...drinks: hot chocolate, iced half-and-half, hot or iced cidertreats: banana chocolate chip muffin, challah, bagels, pumpkin pie, eclairs, chocolate chip cookiesfood: egg & cheese and "east meets Woodstar" bagel sandwichesVegetarian options: lots of options, including specific vegan baked goods!Dietary restrictions: vegan and GF baked goods!Kid-friendliness: lots of non-coffee drink options and baked goods, families are welcome and I often see them there!

Today was my first time visiting the cafe and I will absolutely be back! Hot chocolate was one of the best I’ve ever had and breakfast sandwich was great! Bread was fresh and the environment was comforting. Staff was friendly and kind. Great experience, looking forward to coming back!

Best bread in town— and I mean that!! Super flavorful and hearty. All of the bakery items I’ve tried have been delicious. Woodstar is very conscientious about both vegan and gluten-free diets— all items are labeled accordingly. Would love to come back and try all their other delicious-looking offerings. Btw the employees were all super charismatic and charming to chat with. I will be returning soon and getting all my bread from here now on !!!

Woodstar cafe has great atmosphere. I have been going for years. Food are always fresh and they use local ingredients.It has delicious sandwiches, pastries, muffins, and hot soups everyday. They have all kinds of breads. Vegan, gluten free choices. I go just about every day, and have try almost everything on their menu. I recommend this place to people.

Good coffee and delicious looking baked goods. I think we caught the counter staff the morning after a rough night out but the barrista was spot on. He makes the coffee with finess and care. Our Americano's were tasty and warm, not at all bitter. Our group also had some hot chocolate that was served with thick house made whipped cream - the perfect creamy accompaniment- not too sweet letting the chocolate come through. Definitely worth a visit.

Woodstar is wonderful. I’ve been going here for a few years now, and quite regularly for the last year. They have the best croissants in Northampton (and I say this as someone who has tried all of them), and everyone there is so so nice.The atmosphere here is lovely. It’s usually busy enough that working is a little challenging, but there’s a smaller back room where I have accomplished many a homework assignment. Outlets aren’t abundant.My literal only complaint is that getting there at 9:30 instead of 8:30 is often the difference between them having croissants and not. Maybe they make more later in the day, but I have had to make due with other (also delicious, mind you) baked goods more often than I would prefer.Vegetarian options: There isn’t a huge food menu, but a good portion of their sandwiches are vegetarian, especially their breakfast sandwiches. To the best of my knowledge, all of the bakery items are vegetarian!

This is one of my favorite bakeries, ever. They have gluten free and vegan options, Paleo options, bagels and sandwiches, and fresh baked bread. And everything is downright delicious, I have yet to try something there I don't like. It used to be a 13-hour drive away, now it's just an hour drive -- still to far for regular visits, so whenever we go I make sure to stock up. The raspberry chocolate cupcakes (gluten free and vegan) are by far my favorite thing here 💜

I really loved my time at the Woodstar Cafe this morning. The staff are really pleasant and friendly. The restaurant is very clean, cool, and calm. There is sufficient seating for guests. The decor is casual and cozy with really pretty tabletops made of tile.The food and beverages are very fresh and tasty, too.

Leaving this review after continually being frustrated with waiting times for simple orders and poor quality of hot drinks. Their black coffee is excellent but lattes are highly variable in quality. It seems impossible to get a bagel and cream cheese in less than 15 minutes and several orders were just forgotten. Woodstar has nice atmosphere and popular place. Hopefully the service and drink quality of esselon cafe can improve the woodstar experience.

EVERY time we place a mobile order - it is not made when we arrive. Even after asking about it multiple times, we have had to nearly beg to get the order started (grilled cheese). The latte folks deliver fast - the rest of the process is just broken. Folks make mobile orders because they have places to be - not because we want to be stuck at the end of the line.

I imagine their offerings other than the grilled cheese are also excellent, but I love the grilled cheese so much I can't bring myself to order anything else. I would say it's the best grilled cheese I've had from a restaurant. The outdoor space is lovely on a sunny day (though be warned that summer brings yellow jackets; not sure there's anything they could or should do about that, but just mentally prepare yourself before you sit).Vegetarian options: They are vegetarian friendly.Parking: It's easy to find street parking.Kid-friendliness: My 4-year old loves it. We split a grilled cheese.

I only had a few minutes to stop in and study and there was a long line, so I was worried... but I was able to get my dirty chai and peanut butter choco cookie from the friendly staff and sit down at an open table within five minutes! It seems like they have the right amount of people working there to handle busy mornings, and the atmosphere is so comfortable. I'll definitely be back!

Came in this morning for breakfast - the egg and cheese on a bagel was fine but pretty small and not anything super exciting. The staff was not friendly and one woman was pretty rude to my husband when he was trying to find a place to put his dirty dishes. It’s also just kind of a cold vibe in there. Probably won’t go back.
