Thornes Marketplace is a historical commercial building turn department store, in it you will find all the vibrant unique stores. I will come back just to shop here.

I met my daughter halfway between my house and hers and we landed at Thornes Marketplace! Great place to spend a few hours shopping and grabbing a bite to eat!

Thorne's Marketplace is one of my favorite places to shop! It has unique boutiques, interesting shops with lots of fun gifts. Salespeople are kind and knowledgeable. You can shop, grab a quick cup of coffee as well as dinner at Cornucopia! I highly recommend Thorns

I wish every place had a Thornes. From when I’ve lived nearby to when I’ve lived several thousands of miles away, I’ve been coming here for about 30 years and there used to be no comparable experience anywhere out there. I’ve checked.

I visited Thornes Marketplace a few times over the past several months.I think it's very convenient to have the FedEx mail box located inside the marketplace. There is a public restroom upstairs, accessible by elevator or stairs. It's very well maintained.

How can you not love Thornes?! They have the best little shops in a great building. So many shopping choices along with candy, ice cream, and Whole Foods. There’s always something to find at Thornes and it’s always a great experience.

A pillar of Northampton this is at the center of downtown and a must stop for any trip to Northampton. Everything is so special about this building from the creaking of the original wooden floors to the amazing collective of unique stores. Their window display are always absolutely top notch and during the holidays the decorations inside are incredible. Perfect place to start your day with Share Coffee, lunch at Paul & Elizabeths, or drinks and good food at ConVino.

A lot of the stores in Thornes Market are on the expensive side, but it’s definitely worth it if you want to buy something nice and that’s good quality. I love that there’s a bridge right to the parking garage so you can easily get downtown. If you aren’t from the area it’s definitely worth checking out even if you don’t plan on spending any money!

We stopped in Northampton for a night while driving from NJ to VT. We have family there so I've been there many times, but it was my daughters' first time coming through. Visiting Thornes was an absolute must, especially Herrell's!According to my almost-4-year-old:"My favorite part of the road trip was when I got ice cream"We also enjoyed Cedar Chest and Acme Surplus a lot and found some nice toys that the kids (almost-4 and almost-1.5) played with in the car.The kiosk cafe places are great, too. We got sandwiches that were sooooo good and lavender lemonade that my mom said was clearly going to be a memorable highlight of her trip (high praise considering the rest of our plans for this trip). We brought chocolates from the chocolate kiosk place that were greatly enjoyed by all (and made a great last-minute hostess gift to my Aunt for inviting us to stay for a week). They had all sorts of creative flavors and the chocolates were beautiful and (most importantly) tasty!I've always loved Thornes; it has neat shops and a fun layout with cool staircases because it's an old building. This time I was there with a stroller and found that they did a great job of retrofitting the building to make it accessible for wheeled patrons. I'm not really surprised, because Northampton has a very welcoming spirit, but I hadn't really considered it when I didn't need the ramps.

This is really one of the cooler malls that I have been around. They have at least three bookstores. There's not really any bookstores left because a lot of people don't read books anymore. There's l high-end tailors, and all kinds of awesome retail, chocolate, coffee, ice cream, and I could just go on and on but I won't. I'll just tell you, it's all amazing!

Nice spot to spend some time. Eclectic shops allow you to find that unique gift or something to treat yourself. Right in the heart if downtown Northampton, on street parking is limited but there is a parking garage that connects to the stores.

I was hoping to take this opportunity to address the owner's question about why I first rated the establishment the way I did. First off, this place has a fun and really eclectic vibe to it. I can see why so many folks love it. My original rating was simply because I didn't find places within of interest to me. Please don't take what I have to say personally. I'm just an average Joe who is a flea and thrift store junkie. Point 👉 me in the direction of a Goodwill, comic book store or rummage sale and I'm eternally grateful. That said, Thornes is an awesome establishment, with great stores and very very clean.

Went to the cute little Chocolate shop inside, that also sells vegan chocolate and I was not disappointed! Amazing chocolate, I paid about $22 for 10 pieces of chocolate. Pricey you say, yes I know but when your vegan and want to splurge on your birthday I think its allowed! Besides I've made my own vegan chocolate at home and its a process! Delicious, but still a process! Its called Heavenly Chocolate.

The portions of the food were good. The service and people were really nice and helpful but I found the food very generic. It's an affordable restaurant with portions which would fill you but can't expect alot of variety or taste. Silver lining there were alot of regular customers at the restaurant so looks like a quick to go for people. The ambience of the place was more like a fast food joint so wouldn't at all suggest a dine-in. Delivery and takeout friendly place.

The shops in here are very nice. Unique items and great selections. Good option for a unique wedding or birthday present. Easy to walk – and they have elevators!

This is a nice place to explore. You'll find some interesting shops, and some very good food. In the basement there is small but surprising classy grocery store. They sell chocolates, and some baked goods. They have a fantastic jewelry store. There's a florist here as well. Basically this is a good place to go if you're in hot water with your wife, and you need to buy some peace offerings.

What's not to love about locally-owned businesses in a convenient location with (typically) lots of parking? Noteworthy has the best card selection in town, there's chocolates and coffee and snacks and a vegetarian restaurant and ice cream! And a whole lot more!

An old building converted into three floors of very unique stores, with a great coffee shop with sandwiches and homemade baked goods. Also, a fantastic vegan restaurant (with a large fish entree selection) is located here. I love grabbing a cup of coffee and a snack and just chill out at Thornes...HIGHLY recommended !!!

I was really impressed with this place! Covid precautions are impeccable. So many cute, unique stores I could have spent a lot longer than I did exploring. Bookshop, childrens stores, clothing stores, art gallery, housewares, trinkets, general store, and candy. We visited the area for a short time from Plymouth county and this was a perfect one-stop indoor shop!

A fun eclectic shopping center with a variety of stores. From sweets, clothes, home decor, and gifts, you'll find it all here! There's also a place to get a massage, and a few places to get a snack or bite to eat.A staple of downtown Northampton that you don't want to miss!

I just love Downtown Northampton it's just amazing and wonderful. I remember when Thornes was a book store it was the best. They have so many little unique shops. If you have never been there you have to go they have a great public garage reasonably priced.
