Boarded my cats here for just over a week and was very happy with the experience! I got daily reports of how they were doing, which helped with any anxiety about leaving them at a new place. The staff is also very responsive and made it easy for me to pay ahead of time and have a friend pick my pets up. My cats came home very happy which tells me they had a good experience at the Good Dog Spot. It feels good to find a place that I can trust with my cats, and I already have plans to board them here again!

Received expensive, mediocre hair cut for my small dog along with a “report card” upon pick up, which told me he earned a B grade. Sooooo… are you hoping I train him up for next time so he can earn an A? Or are you just reporting to me that he was a handful and your groomer wasn’t trained or experienced enough to comfortably handle him?

The Good Dog Spot has been incredible and far surpassed my expectations! Our puppy was enrolled in the Spot's Tots program where they did all sorts of training and exercises with him to help him become a well acclimated young man. He quickly graduated to the program for older dogs, and had a great first day. The prices are reasonable for the level of care that is given. I would happily recommend The Good Dog Spot to anyone!

The Good Dog Spot was recommended to me for boarding for my puppy Wilbur. And they are fantastic. They are thoughtful and thorough when accommodating your dogs needs. When I came to pick him up the next day he was in no rush to leave The Good Dog Spot…so I think it’s safe to say your dog or pup will be in good hands with them. They offer an extensive list of packages and services at great prices. Highly recommend!!

I took my cat Ebony on Wednesday Nov 1st for her first appointment. We met a young lady named Emily who was so sweet. She asked me about grooming details I wanted and we talked for some time. She did an amazing job with Ebony, a better job than an other place she has been. This will be her groomer for as long as I have her. Very friendly staff, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend it!

I had my dog kiya groomed here and as a first time customer here I had a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Kiya had a shed treatment and a full groom and she looks fabulous! She wasn't on edge at all, just a happy puppy when she came out! Thank you guys so much! Will DEFINITELY be back!

My family’s pup, Ludo, has been a regular at The Good Dog Spot in Northampton since early 2023. He started off in their Spot’s Tot’s program initially and loved his time there with staff member Natasha, as well as the other pups his age. Since moving on from Tot’s, he’s been a very happy camper in the daycare program every week since. He’s even vacationed at The Good Dog Spot while the rest of his family was out of town this past summer. Whether he’s at The Spot for camp, boarding, or a bath, he always comes home a happy, well cared for boy, tuckered out & ready for a rest. While all staff has been wonderful, both Brian H. & Sierra W. in particular have always shown such sweetness towards Ludey regardless of how busy they may be. I fully attribute The Good Dog Spot & their incredible and attentive crew with helping Ludo grow into a well rounded, social butterfly of a guy!

Wonderful and caring employees, brought my Fiesty Himalayan rescue kitty who had matted her belly fur and was hard to handle and finish in one appointment, but the groomer Emily did a wonderful job figuring out a following appointment to finish. The care and determination helped me feel at ease with bringing my baby back. They have much more flexible hours as well which helps set more regular appointments to help reduce matting.

We left our mini Bernedoodle with the Good Dog Spot when we went on an extended trip to Japan. They sent us informative report cards with pictures every day, and she loved the stay. And then, when she had a health issue, they went over and beyond to take her to the vet and give her extra care. I can't express how how wonderful the Good Dog Spot staff was, and how much we appreciate them.

My dog Stella LOVES it at The Good Dog Spot. She is excited every time that I drop her off. I feel very confident leaving her there when I travel for even for up to 10 days. I love getting her daily report card emailed to me. I can tell that she is well loved and cared for while she is there:)

I love getting the daily reports and being reassured that my dogs are both doing okay. Plus it’s so nice that they can be together. The care givers are calm and friendly, and I think they appreciate dogs as individuals as well as in general. I’m so glad to have this place available when I need it!

I had never put a dog at daycare before in my life. The Good Dog Spot in Northampton has employees that go WAY above and beyond what is thought of with a business. They truly care what is going on with your pet. It’s a complete relief to be able to leave my Luna with them and know all will be ok. I HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone who loves their pet.

Really great folks here who care for and enjoy the company of our furry family members. The facility is convenient, drop-off is easy, and staff seem to know the particularities of each dog. The one area of improvement I see is the lack of outdoor play and free play in general. I'd love to see the company continue to expand outside of the city (Northampton / Chicopee) and have a place that allows dogs more outdoor time.

Very nice place to go to take your dog for grooming and or bathing, the staff were phenomenal there and there's plenty of information and flyers available about upcoming events around town for you and your dog. I would definitely take my dog here again.

We have been trusting GDS with our fur babies for over 10 years. GDS and staff are wonderful - hour pup gets structured and safe play with other dogs. They ensure he behaves appropriately and he loves all of the staff!! At 62 lbs he thinks he is a lap dog :). They treat him like their own and we cannot thank them enough. From daycare to grooming to boarding, GDS does a great job!!

We have had a great experience here. Everything is pretty seem less and convenient. They were willing to adjust to our young dogs exuberance and try different play groups with her to get her matched up. They were recommended to us by our vet who brings here dog here. I highly recommend them for all of the services they offer. They care about the dogs, are professional, and maintain a sense of humor about things.

UPDATE as of Aug 2023We never got a phone call from the owners. 😔We were told the situation was being handed over to them.We were told we’d get reimbursement for the vet ( he had a gash in his side that had to be treated ) and we never got it. I called and emailed again.We finally got an email apologizing for everything and that the check had never been mailed and would be. We eventually got the check.We would have felt so differently if we received a call with an honest open conversation. We know things happen. We are so reasonable. I even recommended we speak on the phone.It didn’t happen.Via email, the Good Dog Spot took responsibility for the inappropriate way our sweet boys injury was handled. We are still waiting to find out how he was hurt.We never got a call.We left our sweet one year old puppy in the care of the Northampton location last Friday. He got in the car (wouldn’t jump in as he normally does but had to be put in the car) when we picked him up and he seemed less than perky.We attributed it to the fact that he had played hard all day.(He sits in the back of the car with a seat belt.)When we got home I was very concerned. I took him out of the car for a little walk in the yard and immediately saw the reason for his demeanor and his inability to get in the car. This sweet boy had a huge gash in his side. Very deep, raw and just awful 😢I was understandably SO upset. I called immediately and asked what happened? Why didn’t anyone tell us? Was it another dog? Was it when he was put in a crate to rest? Someone had to have seen or heard something, his cry when it happened, as this was no small scratch, it was big and very deep.I was kind, respectful and hopeful that there was a huge oversight that would be corrected, if not with the person that answered the phone, with someone else.I believe in the goodness of humans even in hard scenarios.As pet owners we understand that dogs play and things happen. Also we knew that we signed off on liability and certainly any vet fees.That’s not why we were upset.The person that answered the phone was like a robot. The only question I was asked was “is there blood”?!?! And she said “oh, sorry that happened.”No one called to see how our sweet boy was in the hours and days following the incident.Despite my hoping they would….These people LOVE animals and ours was hurt while in their care. I kept believing that someone was going to check in on our pup!!!!They never did. ☹️Things happen and service providers can’t be held accountable, however they are responsible for the way a problem like this is dealt with after the fact and that means everything, especially when it comes to loving an animal. Caring for these creatures that are our family is a privilege and should be treated that way.Our vet saw our pup as an emergency (which was costly as well as the Rx’s he had to be given) and we were lucky that we were able to be seen right away.We are so very sad for this experience and for the lack of heart felt compassionate service after the fact. 💔
