This is easily the best organized and cutest used bookstore. I don't buy a lot of books since I can go to the library, but I have picked up a few and prices are reasonable. The logo is adorable too, so if you stop you can pick up a shirt or tote to go with your books. All employees are helpful and nice as well. I know I will be visiting again.

By far the best bookstore in New England; yes, it's even better than the one in Cambridge (MA). Trust me. In my humble opinion, this is definitely in the top three bookstores east of the Mississippi. So what makes it great? The books, the reasonable prices, and amazing customer service. Betsy, the owner, and all of the employees are friendly, accessible, and stock the best selection of used books (maybe in the country, but I haven't checked). Why overpay for a book at Barnes and Noble when you can save money at The Raven in Northampton (MA)? And don't forget to buy a new tote bag.

This bookstore houses all of the books you would want to read, peruse, dive into and beyond! It is well organized considering the amount of piles and stacks of books that they have in stock! I only get lost because I enter the store thinking I want one book, but get happily distracted by the plethora of options that are available.

Best bookstore in Western MA. Owner Betsy is a local treasure and is so kind and knowledgeable. I've shopped here consistently since my youngest was in my left arm. He's now bigger than I am.

Great used book store with selection for every taste. Good prices. Helpful and pleasant staff. A favorite store. Always something to find. Also nice addition of $1. Vintage postcards.2 years later: My husband and I adore this shop. Service is way above average due to knowledgeable and friendly staff. Book selection is terrific and considering space limitations, amazing. Cookbook selection tempts us although we are already stuffed with cookbooks at home, other books in many genres are well worth browsing to find what interests you and you will pretty much find something if you are inclined to browse a bit. Sale books both outside and immediately inside are full of unusual and diverse reading material. Staff is always, always helpful and friendly. Great store we are lucky to have in our area.

What a selection! I was extremely pleased with the history section in particular and how it was organized. Very thin on Scandinavian and WW1 history books, but it IS a used bookstore, so it's understandable. Great $1 selections, as well. Friendly staff. Very easy to spend a ton of money, but no regrets. Can get a little crammed but it was still a great experience.

So many books!!! I could live at this place and my first time in there I almost spent the entire day shopping. They have great customer service and an amazing selection. I found books I hadn't even heard of. They have really good prices too and I know the next time I'm visiting Northampton this will be the first place I go to.

I love used book stores. This is one of the best. Every category has plenty of variety. I found a book I've been on the lookout for for over a year. This was a great find in a cute little town with a lot of great little places to eat and drink. The town has done a decent job of showcasing their history. Don't hesitate to come and make a day of Northampton and Raven Books.

My first visit here and I loved it! I spent an hour and a half looking at their expanse collection of books. Despite marketing themselves as a used book store, many of the books are in excellent shape and appear unused. The prices are reasonable and the from what I saw, the staff is very helpful and courteous. I will be visiting again.

Raven is my favorite bookstore in Northampton… which is saying a lot as there are so many! But for real, raven used books had such an interesting selection and most are discounted prices. Not to mention it feel like the books are closing in on you, in a good way lol. If you love books, you will adore this bookstore.

Truly one of the best. I could spend hours here ; whenever I visit, I don't want to leave. Not the largest book store, but they have an amazing selection of beautiful older editions, and many for non-collectors, such as those just looking for editions from their childhood. Many sets. Too much to see in one visit. Fair prices. Park nearby in large lots. Very good Mexican food at Bueno Y Sano around the corner. Nice small college town.

Travelers this is a fantastic book store loaded with an incredible amount of fascinating books. We have spent endless hours there trolling through the shelves looking at books. We always have to put some back. Stop in and browse. We recommend.
