One of the most amazing bakeries I've ever stepped foot into. The breads and pastries are amazing and some of the best I've ever tried. Jonathan, Cheryl and their team have created a beautiful, magic place I will dream of revisiting.

The pastries here were yummy and it was almost worth it all just to come and see the place. Unique, different breads every day. No place to sit inside, just to grab and go, but we enjoyed all that we ate.We did have to park across the street and pay the meter but it was like $0.50

Lovely and delicious. Worth it to drive all the way from Lowell! The breads had a nice crispy crust, good and chewy inside. The pastry we tried was buttery, flaky but not disintegrating, lots of tender layers. I tried a chocolate chipotle cookie: it wasn't too sweet and had a nice smoky warm flavor. We also tried the potato herb bread and it was so good and flavorful - the whole drive home the car was filled with the scent of garlic and rosemary and fresh bread. The garden outside is pretty and interesting as well but - go there for the bread!

Great pizza! Their pick up system is very unique & based off a reservation process. I ordered during the day & selected a time for pick up thar they had available. When I arrived, it wasn't ready so I waited a couple of minutes in my car. Made it home with hot, delicious pizza in 14 degree weather. The flavors are fun & unique.

Bummed that pizza is gone. Best pizza I had, it was impossibly tasty. Wonder why they took it out, it obviously was a good seller...Hoping they change their mind, I'm sure it would make many people happy.Last few times I visited, I met a somewhat grumpy and somewhat rushed service. All that said they know dough.

Bread so good you’ll want to rip into it before getting to the curb.We bought the fougasse with olives and whole this might look like a giant flat pretzel with more loops and holes, it is so. Much. More.Best bakery on the east coast fight me.

Best bread I've had outside SF, hands down. Crunchy crust that's aaaalmost-but-not-burned on the bottom, and a great flavor.Their pastries are fine, but you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't get a loaf of whatever bread they have available. They just reopened after a break and I've gone every day this week.Ignore the haters, this place is the real deal.

I REALLY want to like this place but I've gone twice now and I've never gotten a loaf that wasn't burnt so badly that it had a charcoaled crust all the way into the inside that tasted bitter. I understand a little blackened fire smoke is sexy and yummy but this is just burnt burnt.

While this visit wasn't all that great, low selections to choose from, I love this bakery! Great products and friendly staff.

Hungry Ghost has excellent bread and I often stop in to pick up a loaf. On a recent visit, on impulse I asked for a chocolate chip cookie too, but a clerk told me they were sold out. I noticed a sign in the display case that said something to the effect "turnovers chocolate blueberry." I assumed they were selling two kinds of turnovers, one with chocolate filling and one with blueberry filling. So, having drawn a blank on cookies, I asked for a blueberry turnover, which the clerk put in a little bag that I took home. But that evening when I took a bite of the turnover I discovered to my chagrin that it was filled not with blueberries, but a *combination* of blueberries and (bitter!) chocolate -- yecch. Buy the bread, avoid the turnovers...

Good place to have your hands on some nice breads, choc chips and Pasteries. Follow their Facebook schedule, they have different types of breads freshly prepared for each day. Very nice place.

The bread here is special, wonderfully done. You have to taste it because words just won't do. When it morphs into toast, well, for me personally it's simply sublime.

I mean...come on, this bread is just so dang good. I've been experimenting with sourdough for some time and their loaf just blows my mind every time I eat it. Well done folks - keep up the good work!

They make my favorite sourdough of all time, period. Some of the best bread ANYWHERE. I go out of my way to come here while I’m in town. The rosemary olive oil bread is also amazing. The pizza is weekend nights only and is to die for. Pay up and show up, you won’t regret it!

Great bread, the best anywhere in the Valley. Some friends don’t like the crunchy crusts, but I love them. But a big turnoff is, when you’re picking up, paying $8 for a loaf of bread, and they ALWAYS, in their I’m-not-trying-to-be-suggestve-but-wouldnt-it be-nice-if-you . . . way ask, “And would you like to leave a tip for this??” A real turn-off. I’ve just made a 10-mile trip, which I’ve chosen to make because the product is (has been?) worth it, put a quarter into the parking meter, did all the work to pick up the loaf, and they expect me to . . . Tip? Isn’t a tip for the service one receives?? If you’re not charging enough for the product to be able to pay your workers fairly, charge more! Then you’ll find out what the market value of your product is. From now on I’m going to pay a mere $5 for a loaf of bread — granted, not so premium a product — from a more local vendor. Have gotten turned off by this tip expectation.

Wow beat bread I ever had. Really incredible. And since Covid an honor system for paying. So popular it had a line in freezing cold weather . Worth the wait!!!

Went around noon, they were sold out of everything but their rosemary and walnut scone, and it was a top notch scone. Amazing.

If I could give six stars I would. The bread and pizza are both great. During the dark days of the pandemic they had an honor system where you paid for the bread when you got home. The worst bring out the best in some businesses. That was a light I'll never forget. Their garden is a focal point for the community. It's all love.

We got two chocolate chip cookies and rosemary bread. The bread was warm and smelled so good! On our way home we couldn’t stay out of it, it was so delicious. I can’t wait to try the cookie. I wish we lived closer, I would be a regular. We’ll definitely be back though. Service was quick and friendly too. I like paying on their website, very convenient. We need more places like this.
