Last summer, my partner and I had the absolute pleasure of getting married at Black Birch and we couldn't have chosen a more enchanting and picturesque setting for our special day.From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we were swept away by the beauty of the rural vineyard. The rolling hills, endless vine rows, and scenic landscapes painted a perfect backdrop for our wedding ceremony.The staff at Black Birch were incredibly accommodating and attentive especially Emily. From the initial planning stages to the actual wedding day, they made sure every detail was taken care of, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the joy of our celebration.Our ceremony took place amidst the lush vineyard, and the natural beauty of the surroundings added a sense of tranquility and romance. As we exchanged our vows, the gentle breeze rustling through the vines made the moment even more magical.The reception held at the vineyard's modern but rustic barrel room was nothing short of breathtaking. The combination of wooden accents and soft fairy lights created an ambiance that exuded warmth and intimacy. Our guests raved about the delightful wines produced on-site, which perfectly complemented the delectable cuisine served during dinner.Throughout the evening, the sun set over the vineyard, casting a golden glow that added a touch of enchantment to the festivities. It was a sight that will forever be etched in our hearts and minds.Black Birch surpassed our wildest expectations as a wedding venue. Its rural charm, attentive staff, and ethereal beauty made it the perfect location for our special day. We couldn't have asked for a more magical and unforgettable experience. Love this place for a number of reasons - from the wine, to the landscape, to the people. We recently got to host our wedding celebration at Black Birch and were simply blown away, once again.Emily and her team were very easy to work with, responsive, friendly and warm. They unbelievably helpful in coordinating our set-up and helping to manage the flow of events throughout the evening. If you are looking for a beautiful place to host an upcoming event, I highly recommend looking into Black Birch

Visited Black Birch Vineyard after an afternoon of shopping in North Hampton. The vineyard is spacious with patio and lawn sitting. We bought a bottle of the Riesling which was crisp and refreshing. We were lucky to visit on a day when a food truck was onsite. The pizza was fantastic.

I love Massachusetts wines in general but these are the best. I often buy from local stores exactly black birch. And the winery itself has nice options for wine testing and last time I was there they gave me the glass with the logo as a souvenir! So nice of them!I strongly recommend this place for locals and for visitors, too!This place should definitely be on your must visit list

My girlfriend and I showed up around 3:30 on a Friday, grabbed a bottle of wine and and sat down. 15 minutes later we’re greeted by a woman saying they close at 5pm…..I would understand if it was like 15 minutes before close but a whole hour and a couple minutes before hand ? I also noticed she didn’t tell any other table, just ours. Didn’t sit well with me at all. This is our favorite winery but I’m unsure what that was all about. Doesn’t make us want to come back.

If you're looking for a year-round winery, Black Birch is the perfect place to visit! I've been here quite a few times now, and can confidently say that ALL of their wines are absolutely delicious!The property is beautiful to sit outside on a nice day, but the inside is equally as amazing throughout the winter time as well. They offer many different events throughout the year, all of which have been incredible! A must-try if you're a lover of good wines!

Absolutely wonderful wines. It’s hard to believe that wines from New England can taste as good. Growing in a different part of the country than anyone would expect, in a very difficult climate, there’s nothing short of amazing.The staff are amazing and strive for a 5-out-of5 star experience every time we come.I chose Black Birch Vineyard as the location of proposing to my (now) fiancé for a lot of reasons. The staff handle the busy summer season with grace and manage to harvest and make wine all fall with crowds of patrons around too.We LOVE you Black Birch Vineyard!

I have visited Black Birch several times in the past and had a great experience. My most recent was very different. Usually the staff is very friendly and helpful not this time with the exception of the young man serving the out door bar he was just excellent. The young girl working the inside bar was in my opinion unprofessional. We were in line to order a glass of wine we were talking about the different wine choices she asked what wine we wanted I completely forgot the name of the wine so walked over to the bottle displays to see the name of the one I wanted she then said and I quote “if your not ready to order then I’m going to go and do something else”. The older woman that I think was the manager was clearly in a very bad mood and was a bit rude all three encounters we had with her. What happened to all the friendly happy staff ?

The winery itself is nice from the inside and out. Relaxing environment, a nice place to sip on wine and hang out with friends. My friends and I came in for a wine tasting, which is serviced at a table seating. A different wine tasting concept compared to standing by a bar for the whole tasting. I would’ve enjoyed it if our server actually tended to us giving us a nice wine tasting experience. We had an older lady who seemed more interested in hanging out with her friends (that were a few tables away) than tending to our wine tasting that we paid for. We sat with an empty glass for a long time after each pour. I would try to scope where she was and would find her talking to people she knew at a table (I figured she knew them cause she would sit down chat, give them hugs) before she came over to pour us our next tasting. I’m sure the employees know everyone there but there are customers paying for a wine tasting that would also like to be serviced to.

My Wife and I were in Northampton for a wedding, we arrived a few days early to travel around the area, visit museums, historical sites, and checkout local restaurants. Our experience at Black Birch Vineyard was the highlight of our trip! Emily treated us like Family, she provided a few wines to taste and then we relaxed with a glass of our favorite while talking to her about the area and their unique wine making process. She is very knowledgeable and absolutely delightful. We also met one of the owners and her dog, Yogi. Spoke to her for a long time as well, she was great to speak with about how she and her Husband started the Vineyard. Before leaving we bought a couple of bottles to take home to enjoy later. We will definitely be back the next time in Western Massachusetts. I recommend adding Black Birch Vineyard to your list of places to visit when in the area.

Black birch is a great local meeting place to socialize and relax. The music summer series is a fantastic collaboration with signature sounds is a perfect combination of chill music in funky atmosphere.

Tasting is at a table which took an hour. Should have told us upfront how long it would take. No flights. We were very annoyed, wine is excellent and the venue is impressive. We left before having a glass because it took so long. We will go back since the wine is so good.

While the wine is good , the size of the pour is mediocre at best. It wasn't even the equivalent of a half of a glass. For 2 glasses of wine , $20 was excessive for the amount you get. In hindsignt a bottle would have been a far better deal at $23-28. The service is confusing , and the staff does not seem to care to explain their process to you .

I went to an after wedding event. The place looked wonderfully decorated and a band, (paid/decorated/& cleaned) by the happy married couple on Friday, September 2nd, 2022. It was a lovely time, all bar staff and waiters/waiteress were kind and accommodating. The mood was light and friendly, as it should be as we all were celebrating our dear friends nuptials.However, the “event coordinator” by the name of Emily, was outright rude and unprofessional at best! She falsely accused people of bringing in outside alcohol, to the extent of calling the local police. The officer who arrived and dealt with such was amazing with their reply to all at the event, to save embarrassment for the lovely couple, it was rightly noted that even the police officer knew that the complaint was faulty and simply not founded.I believe that Black Birch Vineyard has the ability to thrive with events, however….having the current “Event coordinator”, by the name of Emily, will make this business fall short. Professional and adequate behavior is a requirement for any successful business.

Great wine and great experience! Black Birch Vineyard is a working vineyard as well as winery and tasting room. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can bring your own food or buy small snacks there. Tours and events are posted on their website. Their membership program is well worth it if you live in the area!

LOVE Black Birch! The wine is tasty and reasonably priced and the atmosphere is awesome! I love all the fire pits outside and the delicious pizza food truck that is always there. My pup also likes to come for the day with us too. Highly recommend!

I don’t have any photos but I just want to say that Black Birch Vineyard must be a truly popular place. Their Crush Festival from 1 - 4pm today, Saturday Oct.15 was sold out by the time we got inside at 1:30 pm.The gate employees were very nice and polite and let us pull over so we could order Laughing Tomato pizza from the food truck and take it home to eat. They were so busy we would have needed to wait until 2:15 pm. We were hungry so we headed out empty handed.The vineyard looked beautiful and all the grape vines seemed labeled.Another time…..

My boyfriend and I came to Black Birch as part of our vacation. He's into beer and I'm into cider, but we both had an AMAZING time here. We each got a flight of their 5 signature wines. Each pour was beautifully balanced, crisp, clean, and not too sweet. This vineyard has something for everyone and we are both ecstatic that we added it as a stop on out way to Vermont.

Lovely winery, great wines, friendly tasting. Their new location is really nice. The cab France estate was delicious but their Vidal Blanc won me over. I packed snacks so enjoyed a glass out of the bottle of Vidal I bought. Perfect day because of the mild temps. I will definitely return. A really nice visit!

Went for the second time to the Vineyard. As usual the venue was great, good music and good wine. However it was very disappointing to not be able to purchase wine by the bottle having to buy it by the glass is very expensive. I had brought about 15 ppl with me and they too were disappointed since i had told them that it was available by the bottle. Still enjoyed the evening, however i will have to re-think future visits.

Great Vineyard! They offer tours, tasting and host local events. Events like a 10 mile run, music, private events and more. Picnic on their lawn in the warmer months, plenty of outside seating, make it’s a days outing with a local hike like Mt.Sugerloaf and retire to some wine and picnicking at Black Birch!
