I didn't buy anything from this store after witnessing the man behind the counter, who I assumed to be the owner, react rudely and aggressively to a customer who appeared very calm and composed. I was in line to ask a question and turned right around and walked out the door. For a small town, family owned shop, the customer service is horrendous.

I went there to buy a couple of things, one of them being fertilizer. I didn’t see what I needed so I asked the man working the register and he just said it was outback but did not seem interested in helping me. So I told him I will just get what I had in my hands and paid him. Apparently he was upset that I did not go back for the fertilizer and wouldn’t hand me my change. He just put it on the counter, looked at me and walked away. I can’t believe how childish this person is. Anyway, I have now started going to Aubuchon hardware in Pocasset and they are very helpful there.

Wish I could give zero stars...Went here to pick up a 80 tooth 10 inch circular saw blade. To my surprise they had one. The price wasn’t labeled but the 60 tooth one was $35 so it couldn’t be that more expensive, or so I thought....After checking out with three or four other small items I realized after paying that the saw blade had rung up at $80 for one Irwin (nuttin’ fancy) saw blade.I looked it up on a Amazon and they are selling it for $29. So my first complaint is this store is way overpriced. This is Falmouth, not the moon or Antarctica! You are 20 minutes from a Home Depot.I went back in to ask for a refund of just the saw blade and I was told that because I purchased the blade using a debit card, that they couldn’t issue refunds to debit cards. The shop keeper was implying that I could not return it because I paid using debit. I explained that it was debit, linked directly to my checking and that they had already withdrawn the money from my account and that I was either getting an electronic refund or a cash refund now. I thilen actually logged into my account and showed him I had 3000+ in balance and My bank had already deducted the purchase from minutes earlier from my account. No where is it posted “no refunds on debit purchase in the store”. The guy who was doing this to me was clearly an owner or a family member of the ownership. This cashier went around in a illogical circuit for 10 minutes with me thinking I was just going to eat the $80 and leave the store with his drastically overpriced saw blade. I finally suggested that he run the refund through as a credit purchase and it worked. Amazing that the only way I was able to get my money back was through standing up for myself and not backing down.So for trying to take advantage of me, I should give you zero stars. My house could be burning down and I wouldn’t spend another cent at your business. Thank you!Avoid at all cost!

Great stuff! Pete, the owner is such a good guy! Such a welcoming atmosphere in the shop! And don’t forget to check out arts bike shop which is attached. Really impressive!

Very helpful!!! These guys guided me to all areas of the store and really helped me find everything i needed. At the register they even guided me on how to save some money on some of the things i had picked out. I’m a builder and have been to many hardware stores in Falmouth with not so great experience but these guys really cared.

A wonderful throwback to the true quality and service that our local hardware stores used to be before corporate America. The gentleman behind the counter took time to help me find what I need and made sure I understood how to use it.
