I love going to this grocery store. They have everything from groceries, to flowers, make up and delicious Bakery Goods to a nice pharmacy. It is always very clean, well-organized and stocked.I love there small clearance section on fruits and vegetables. They put one day old fruits and vegetables in a package, mark it at $0.79 a pound and sell them. It's an amazing way to get awesome food!They also have some beautiful bouquets of flowers there.When I first moved back to Massachusetts from North Carolina I went to their Pharmacy and asked if they took my insurance card so I could get the flu shot. Unfortunately they didn't accept my card however they offer a program where everybody gets a free flu shot! Isn't that awesome? They gave me a quick complementary flu shot :-)I probably go here three times a week. I would highly recommend it.

Seems odd to review a supermarket but this is a really nice one. Excellent staff, departments, selections, bla bla, all things we already know and love.But the best thing ever invented since sliced bread is the Scan It (tm) device! Go ahead, scan sliced bread with it.Scan while you shop then scan the whole device and pay. It's an underutilized service but it's a profound improvement to checkout.If you are hesitant to try the Scan It device, it's pretty simple and staff are happy to help if you get stuck. Worst case is you end up checking out in the traditional way. Meh.To start, scan your Stop and Shop card at the Scan It kiosk near self checkout. A few moments later it will click and light up one of the scanning devices just for you. It has a touch screen and a scan trigger.As you shop, point and shoot, it goes beep, put the item in your (hopefully) reusable bag. You can fill your cart to overflowing if you want to.When you're ready, touch its Checkout button. The Checkout button will warn about finalizing your cart then displays a personal barcode. You scan that barcode at any self checkout register and pay. That's it! Boop. They might audit your cart once to make sure you're doing a good job. Staff will help if you get tangled up.There are a few ways to get tangled up in the device, namely accidentally touching screen buttons. Such buttons include price check, cart item list, probably other things. If that happens, there is also a button called Scan which sets you back to normal.

Can I give zero stars? Horrible store. The self scanners are by far the worse I've used anywhere. The settings are so ridiculously sensitive. I don't think I've ever gone in and not needed the staff person to come clear the scanner. Never happens at Big Y, Walmart, Hanniford. The scanning area is often dirty. Don't know why the staff person can't clean the check-out stands instead of just standing around.The bakery...well, really, can we call it a bakery. I want a donut, one donut. No, this store continues to pre-package and offer only multiples. I'm not sure why I even want a donut here since they are not good. The bins where muffins, bagels, rolls are not priced. I asked why not and the woman in the bakery said they just don't put up prices since the prices sometimes change. Oh, ok.It's convenient to pop in here, but that is the only reason I ever use this store.

Pretty good I got 4 packs of pokemon and got a good card. Plus way cheaper plushie of a pokemon at Walmart 20$ at kohl's 16$and at stop and shop 15$

Most expensive store in the area. Been a customer for years but no more. $7.57 for a pound of 73% ground beef absolutely disgusting.

The store was busy, cluttered and probably short staffed. I have successfully used self checkout at Kroger, Walmart, Price Chopper and Hannaford but here after every scan it would have to be approved by an employee! Just ridiculous! If I hadn't got the items I wanted I would give it 1 star. Don't plan on coming back.

Staff is friendly, but thats about all they do right there. No one working check out lanes, so let the customer do your job for you! Oh, and they decided to remove all bags and charge for paper ones just all on their own. I have received attitude from some staff when asking for more than one paper bag. Go shop at walmart or target instead, this place doesn't care about it's customers at all.

Great store, but noticed that the cranberry juice without sugar, which is healthier, is priced $1 MORE than the sugared, less healthy offering. Same Producer, same sizes and numbers of containers. This seems contrary to the healthy mantra SS boasts.

The only modern supermarket that's close to Williamstown well stocked but somewhat pricey. They do have self checkout with confusion usually requires human interaction. There's a scary robot like thing that wanders the store beeping with a face run on it. Kind of creepy! They now feature EV charging stations!

Solid store with helpful employees.I could not find a non-refrigerated box of coconut milk for my wife but an employee graciously pointed me in the right direction with a smile.Per most stores consistent with this chain, prices are a bit higher than other grocery stores. I cannot seem to understand why because it's not a higher end store per se.With that being said, I was able to find what I wanted and checked out seamlessly via the self check out option.

I found more products available, larger selections in all areas, meats vegetable, fruits, vegetable designed foods, dried fruits and the list goes on. But my happiness soared when I went to the pet food isle. Other locations are naked on cat food and other pet items. Your store had everything I needed, wanted and then more assortment. Bless you for that. My sweet cat deserves his goodies too.But there was not any area in my listing that was not filled before I left. Again thank you for making my trip shopping fun and satisfying in every way.

Always clean, friendly employees, and they usually have fully stickers shelves. (before the pandemic) Even now, they have more than the other local grocery stores around here. The pharmacy is the BEST! They have excellent discount programs for uninsured, they are very informative and always willing to help and answer questions. I never feel rushed, even when they are extremely busy, they give you the time you need for any questions you may have. I will never leave Stop & Shop pharmacy...

Very clean, my daughter loves the robot. :) I also think the prices are pretty reasonable and the meat is fresh and affordable. Great selection of fruits and veggies. And an impressive section for special diet needs such as gluten free and vegan. You can also earn points for free gas. You really can't beat it.

Seriously overpriced for most items you'll get elsewhere for often 1-2 dollars less. Produce section and organic selection is quite good. If you get a chance, give that stupid robot they have a good shove with your cart!...PS the owner gives the same generic response every time. Are they even concerned?

I have to admit that Stop & Shop is not my usual go to for groceries, but where I happen to be staying now it is the closest grocery store so I gave it a try. I was really impressed with the organic / Health Food /gluten free section of the store. I bought a 3-pound bag of Mandarin oranges along with several other things, and the next day when I had my first orange out of the bag I thought it was a little on the mushy side, but didn't think too much about it. The next day I went to grab another orange, and it was a bit moldy. When I checked through the bag I noticed a few more that had a little bit of mold on them. I was really surprised when I brought them back to the store and not only did I get my money back, but I got twice the cost of the oranges back. The gal at the customer service desk explained to me that that is their policy for fresh produce. They pride themselves on fresh produce and guarantee our satisfaction. I was thrilled!

My 1st item would be that ALL and I do mean that all the Small carts are at One end of the store. Seriously folks, why. You either push a full size or Carry a basket. And not just recently. Second the store made Italian bread, store made mind you is a frozen loaf that they thaw out and bake at the store, not made on site. It used to be $99 a loaf on sale, and $2 something regular. NOW they are charging $3.89 Yes cost's are going up but let's get real. Pumping it up to match commercial retail. Yeah no. I know that the two other local stores are way less. Personal I'm not happy, I hope they can step up their game.

Good selection of fruits, vegetables, and grocery items. However, numerous mistakes on sale items which don't scan properly. I have to go back to store frequently for refunds. That makes me furious. How many people never check their receipts for mistakes? The stores makes lots of money with this going on.

Stop & Shop is probably the best large supermarket chain in New England. This store loses a star due to the lack of the fantastic organic section seen at other locations. They still have a fair bit of organic items mixed in, though not nearly as many as other locations. Otherwise, usual friendly and helpful staff, selection, and overall very good experience you would expect from Stop & Shop. Still better than most other stores in Pittsfield.

Best grocery store in the area. They have the best fresh fruit available anywhere. They have come a long way since I worked there 15 years ago. Prices are much more reasonable and the options are vast. They have a great seasonal section too.

Trying to get a hold of the bakery to order baked goods for a funeral on Saturday. First call...transferred no one answers, goes back to service desk, connecting to bakery, phone disconnects. Called back , told no anwers at the bakery. Second and third call's later in the day...transferred and just disconnected twice 😟 Going to find another bakery. The email supplied is not a valid email link...just want bakery hours so I could order 4 dozen cookies for a funeral

Lousy attitude of most employeesThe store is clean, they have a good selection, it could be a great store if cashiers didn't spend 20 minutes talking with their friends about politics, while keeping the line waiting. Then they are snotty to others in the line who ask simple questions. I saw a young man in the bakery be sarcastic to woman with kids, until the lady manager Ann, came over and intervened. She was wonderful, one of the few in the store that smiled, answered questions, and made eye contact. Most of the others avoid eye contact and move away whenever someone tried to ask a question. The meat department, and deli have good people, but produce, grocery, cashier, and the heavy young man in the bakery are anywhere from rude to just unhelpful.

Great Stop & Shop! Has all the usual Stop & Shop products. They also have the fun use-while-you-shop handheld scanners and the cute futuristic robot cleaner which is always followed around by one or two children grinning with fascination while they torture the poor thing as it tries desperately to stay out of their way and about running anyone or anything over. Gotta love S&S's innovation and creativity! Certainly helps to make them stand out above other grocery chains and makes shopping there a more enjoyable experience!
