Horrible customer experience. There’s only self-checkout and the machines error out every 5 seconds - leaving the employees to play whack-a-mole with all of the flashing self-checkout lanes. We had a whole cart of stuff and had to fit it all on the weight. It was also really hot in there. Not returning unless I only need to pickup a handful of items. The employees are saints to deal with that hot mess. (Richard and Hugo were amazing)

There's never anyone at the deli. Its just abandoned, dont know why they have it. They take forever to bring out anything dairywise. By the time they bring out any of the milk from the back the experation is already a day a way. There was a mouse in one of the bread bags. Nobody knows anything nor do they want to help. If you needed to go out and simply get a milk, the most basic thing, they either are out, its almost expired etc.

A lot of the Stop & Shops in the area are bigger, but this one is meant to cover the basics and also compete with the services that other markets have. The prepared foods section includes a buffet.The market provides the regular foods and goods that you would find in a supermarket, but be aware that specialty items or the choice of brand is limited. This is reasonable because the space is limited.The biggest benefit of this supermarket is the area it is in, there are not any markets close to the area, making it hard to get to. Needham Street is traffic ridden during certain times of the day, so traveling on it to get to a supermarket is time consuming. This makes the Stop & Shop a time saver.Head over there and check it out. It's a good spot for lunch, or tonight's cooked meal. Just be prepared to check out your own products.

Awful. I walked out half way. The vegetables aren’t fresh I have very limited meats frozen seafood looks frozen for about 10 years. Left the Hatfield carriage the aisle and just left..

This place is small, so availability and selection of options is limited. Hard to find an employee to help. They are frequently out of certain produce. Prices are exorbitant. I only come when I need just one item and don’t want to go all the way to Wegman’s.

I love going to the Stop and Shop in Dedham Ma. The produce is always in great condition . Variety is always there. Great prices. Cashiers are always telling you about sales and discounts. Great meat department. Variety in frozen foods. I suggest you all at least check it out ! You will not be disappointed!

Self checkout almost always results in a error, which takes them a long time to resolve. Would be faster to go a store farther away.Edit: Went again and the experience was the same

Market Basket is further away than when I lived in another town, so I have to shop at Stop&Shop. Groceries are obscenely expensive. Produce and meat are poor quality and too expensive. Music is too loud. And they charge for paper bags. Please.

I shop here at least 2 times per week and every time it’s a horrible experience! Today I had the pleasure of having the store manager Mark looking over my shoulder while I was checking out he didn’t even wait for me to leave the store before he hoped on my register to check what I paid for! Definitely didn’t do it to the people behind me. 2 days ago the store front lead lady in which I have had numerous problems with because she is extremely prejudice emptied my bags and re-rang all my items into another register. They never have employees to help but they have them to follow you around the store! Also 50% of their bread is always expired! I’ve waited 10 mins for someone to come to the deli only to be met with an attitude! The employees are extremely rude and act more of security than cashiers! There are only 2 cash registers where you can checkout with an employee but NO ONE is ever at the front end! I have video of all my encounters with these employees I should start posting them so others can see how you are treated when you don’t look like them or “fit the description”

This is probably one of the worst S&S I've ever visited. The regular items are all sold at premium price, from bananas, peach tea, to sushi and bread. Their checkout machines are too small to place groceries on, and to make it worse, they frequently make false alerts. One of the staff members (an elderly Asian lady) is rude and impatient. Today she falsely accused my wife of misusing the machine when a false alert was raised, but the fact is my wife did follow the instructions correctly (weigh the potatoes BEFORE putting them in the bag). I'm not sure if that staff member is aware that her job IS to assist customers, but if she always harbors a grudge, perhaps she should be doing something else.

NO LONGER HAVE A RECYCLE BIN FOR PLASTIC BAGS. Useful for staples if living nearby. Imbalance in baked goods. LOTS of sugary cakes; seldom pies; muffins variable.

I was happy to see this store in our neighborhood when it first opened. It was a needed grocery for the area. At the height of the pandemic they did a very good job with staffing and keeping items on the shelves. But lately it seems like they have nothing in stock for days to a week at a time. These last few weeks especially in the deli area.Today I went in to pick up some cold cuts and cheese as there was nothing there the other day. I usually use the scan gun for a quick run to avoid the checkout lines which are a pain since they reconfigured self checkout. The scan gun station was offline……..great here is another issue I thought.I headed to the the quick deli pickup which again was bare. I went to the actually deli, stood around for 5 minutes and finally called the store to ask if anyone was in the back. Nope the deli was closed, no sign up and all of the lights and machines were on. Another wasted trip.I’m not sure what is going on with this location but hopefully they will get back on track. To me it looks like they are burning off inventory to close the store down.

Today I had the worst experience I have ever had in a supermarket. My husband and my daughter went to grab some groceries here which we do at least once every 2 weeks and we were followed and closely observed by store clerks until we left, as though we were going to steal something or cause problems, and they made it very obvious. We strongly felt harassed by them in the halls and while we were paying for our groceries. I cannot say it wasn’t because of our ethnicity, as we were the only ones being followed, as I became aware of the situation. This made me feel so bad I cried on my way out. Please do better! People of all backgrounds and ethnicities work in your store and live in the nearby neighborhoods and just because we’re brown doesn’t mean we’re thieves! Horrible experience!

First time I've been to this new location. It's just like the regular stop & shop just a mini size. Found everything I needed and quickly used the self check out.UPDATE...I've been coming here mostly every Saturday when I come to visit my parents, the store is still the perfect place to pop into for a quick buy. Good selection of anything I'm looking for PLUS they have fresh sushi!! Bonus!!

Almost every time I come to this store, it is an inconvenience. 95% of the time, there is no option to check out with the cashier. This is fine if you only have a few items, but when you have a significant amount of groceries, this is a real inconvenience. Most of the time there is some issue with self check out and an employee has to assist with correcting the problem. Whenever I’m checking myself out, it feels like the employees are watching to make sure that I am not going to “steal” anything. Seriously, their time would be better used trying to assist customers at the cash register or helping customers on the floor trying to find items. There definitely needs to be at least one employee to provide customers with the option to have a cashier to help them checkout.When I have asked if there was a cashier available, the employee begrudgingly assisted me. Generally, the employees seem annoyed and direct me to the self checkout. It’s basically a chore to go to this grocery store, but sometimes I just go for the convenience. However, the customer service at the store is so poor that it may be worth going to another grocery store a little farther away.

This is pretty much the worst stop and shop I've ever been to from the customer service down to the groceries themselves. I've tried not to leave any reviews but just about every time I shop here there is an issue. On several occasions I have purchased products from juices to meats that were expired. Yes they took care of the issue but it's very inconvenient having to get home and then go all the way back. Now I just check the expiration date on everything I buy. Another time I was asked to bag my own groceries even though the guy bagged the groceries of the customer before me with no issue and this was not at self checkout. Dont get me wrong, I would have done it if he asked nicely but the guy demanded that I do it. Today there was nobody at the deli that could help me so I asked the manager but he said he can't help because the deli guy called out so they shut it down and sanitized everything. Not only is stop and shop losing out on sales but I find it ridiculous that they shut it all down because of a call out. They need to do better.

I shop here very frequently and the placement is very convenient. The selection is decent although this particular store is a bit on the small side. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Fresh meat and poultry. Sales occur regularly enough to compete with bigger chains like Wegman's a good amount of the time. Majority of the checkouts are self service.To reiterate, be aware this store is a bit on the smaller side so you may not be able to find everything, but it's sufficient for my everyday grocery needs.

So I posted this a year ago and guess what -- they STILL don't have the orange juice thing right. Honestly that is the only reason I would go there. Prices are high and there is no local produce. (Breads are good enough.)I just don't understand why after two years they can't figure out how to squeeze a bunch of oranges. Honestly, I wouldn't care except that on those rare occasions when they do have it, it is the best in town and well worth the trip.Below is the original review.This is an average of a 5 star review for the quality of their fresh orange juice and 1 star for their complete, utter, total, unmitigated inability to carry it regularly, especially the quarts or half gallons. Honestly I wouldn't care about their total incompetence if it weren't excellent juice, as good as the finest hotels. But it is excellent juice, and that's what makes it so frustrating. On one occasion I even called ahead to make sure they had it, got there in five minutes...and they didn't have it. (They did make some for me in the back room after a mutual friend who happened to be there called the manager over.)I once asked them: "Why is it that you always run out of orange juice?" The reply was -- no joke -- "Because we can't keep it in stock."

Depressing looking store that looks more like a warehouse than a groceries store. It's always a gamble when i go to see if they have what I am looking for. Prepared foods are limited and doesn't have any consistency. I always go for self check out when it's an option but its strange that this location only has self check outs

Always smells like rodent and never enough employees. IF there is anyone to cash you out, double check your receipt. Self checkout is a nightmare here, no idea why, sooo many times it has a problem.

Store is five stars but one specific staff member accuses me and friends of stealing. He follows us (we’re minors) and calls us thief’s for no reason what so ever. Even if it’s just 2 of us he follows us. It makes us feel scared since he’s an adult and we are all under 18. He might have some sort of prejudice I really don’t know but it’s very uncomfortable.

I do not understand why you charge for super thin cheap paper bags. Your bag caused my $5.19 Tostitos Cheese jar to fall from the bottom of the bag and breaking and made a huge mess on my driveway. My sick son couldn't eat the one thing he was craving thank you for the inconvenience . You just lost a customer.

A great place to shop with flexible hours for those who don't have time to shop until after their shift is over, it really helps that they close at 10pm most days. They have a good selection of items and a quick self checkout area. I'm hoping that all Stop and Shops will eventually be like this one, having self checkouts and a nice building design.

Don't go here for regular grocery shopping. As the name says, you stop and you shop. You don't make plans for this, you go here if you forgot apple juice at Wegmans and don't want to go all the way there.Products are good but not great, the choice of food is fairly narrow.Don't expect much, but for pass by grocery shopping it does the trick.

My experience with the store itself is ok, been coming here ever since it was built. But one of the employee here named Michael follows me and my friend around the store all the time. He accuses us of stealing and even made my friend show what was in his backpack. He also asked my immigrant friend if he even spoke english. Several times he has followed us and when I prove him wrong he starts yelling and gets very aggressive.
