Updated review:I have now been shopping this store for a bit over five years and here is what I've found...Generally speaking, the staff are both friendly and helpful. Treat them with friendliness and they will return your courtesy and be helpful in return.This is a discount chain (part of the TJX family) with an "outdoors" theme. They have a camping, biking, hiking section in the front but most of the store is clothing. In general, the clothing are last year's department store holdovers that are sold off at a discount. Don't expect the selection to match the clothing season but by shopping out of season, some real bargains can be found. Just to name a few, I have found a few treasures here at Sierra. Smith's long-john sets, hiking shoes from Merrell, jeans and jackets from Carhartt and ski pants from Dare2B all at very reasonable prices.Admittedly only one in five visits results in a purchase but periodically checking their racks can be a quick easy treasure hunt. Something either appeals to me or not but when I'm in the area it is worth checking out.

Absolutely amazing place! We came for a team dinner with kids and parents. The experience was wonderful, stuff if very friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic. Nice atmosphere and great drinks.

Love shopping here. It fits me - fashion preferences and size. May not be for everyone... buy if your active and are looking for outdoorsy clothes for all seasons, casual chill wear, or even chill business casual - I find the majority of my wardrobe at Sierra stores. Tons if big name brands at discounted prices. Slam dunk.Staff has always been super helpful and friendly; whether I'm shopping in store or picking up an online order.Love looking for and finding great deals.Thank you!

Good prices on lots of camping and outdoor supplies. There isn’t everything you need, but I do suggest going here first to see what you can get off your list. My fiancé and I found several things we needed for our summer backpacking trip, and I had to stop myself from buying too many socks. (6 pairs of merino wool hiking socks isn’t too many…)I will still have to go to some other outdoor supply stores, but I’m glad we checked out Sierra first.

Sierra has great prices on outdoor gear. If you find something you like, stock up, it may not be there next time you visit. Remember that you can buy online and return stuff at the store.If you shop here a lot, one of their credit cards that earns savings coupons is worth considering

Good selection in clothing with good prices. It's not easy to walk through with crutches since there were a lot of things at the corridors. The stuff was helpful.

Went into this store for the first time. Seems like it is great for athletic wear, outerwear and sporting goods and clothes. I believe they had shoes as well. Great assortment of candles of 12oz candles made with essential oils for a 1/4 of the price of other famous brands.

Excellent quality. They also sell name brand clothing, sporting goods, and camping equipment, all at reduced prices. They may get a few months ago left over stock, from major retailers, but mark it down, and sell it for significant savings to public. Wish there were more of these stores locally, in my area, but it's worth the drive to the nice Newton, Mass. Store for great deals. If you are in the Newton/Needham area, and are an outdoor enthusiast, workout, or pick up game(or serious weekend jock or beauty), then check out this store, I think you will be pleasantly surprised! Great variety of outdoor / active wear. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The prices are good. I've found some of the samr items a bit cheaper at other discount stores but the difference wasn't big enough to warrant traveling to the other stores.

The store is filled with tons of stuff to the point that you think they need a bigger space. Did I find what I came for? Yes, some of it : sports bra with non-removable pads, snow pants for a kid. What I didn't find is the gloves I like and beautifully designed hats for women with long ear flap. Gloves I got at the TJMaxx next door,and a hat - on Amazon.The holiday season has started so additional parkings are available. Don't worry and don't wait (creating a traffic) - there are two additional parking lots behind the buildings on the right (smaller one) and on the left (the bigger one). Just drive forward and turn either way.

I very much enjoyed the store. One can find good stuff here, but some patience is needed. They have really high quality gear (like trekking boots and ski jackets) but it is buried among cheap and low quality stuff. But if you spend some time digging - you will be rewarded!
