I am very concerned with the condition I found my dog in when I picked her up today. I left her for 22 hours at Pooch Hotel and she came back in an unacceptable state. Clear signs of neglect. The pictures speak for themselves- the last two pictures are of her 3 days before she arrived at the hotel.She has urine all over her fur and fecal matter in her paws. Her fur is soaked with a pungent substance. She is subdued and not being herself. She clearly was not given her food as her feces is a different color and she has diarrhea, which means she was fed with a different type of food than hers which is a limited ingredient food. When I arrived I was told she vomited this morning, so am now wondering what she was given during her stay. Very disappointed.

We absolutely love Pooch in Newton. My dog gets so excited to go play with his friends every day. He can be an anxious dog, and he comes home so happy. I love how loving and special the staff treats him when I drop him off. Everyone is so nice! Also, drop off and pickup could not be easier, I literally swing in to drop him off and then I’m on my way and my mind is at ease that my dog is happy and loved all day. We love Pooch!

The Pooch Hotel in Newton has our HEART. Hands down, the BEST for boarding! When my sweet boy is away from home, I want to know that that he is taken care of just like I would care for him I have found that here. The ease in scheduling boarding, detailing his specific needs and preferences, and the prompt follow-ups on any questions that I have (or just general dog mom check ins) are top tier. The staff here is absolutely incredible and kind. It makes me so happy to see the enthusiasm that my little one Each time he has dropped off for boarding and how kind they are to him and showering him with love. Pooch Hotel in Newton, huge thank you from Remy and me.

I highly recommend Pooch Hotel to anyone looking to board their dog. We have been bringing our dog Milo there for a number of years and always had great care. In his most recent boarding stay Milo’s health started to deteriorate and the staff, especially Wendy and Tia, went above and beyond to make sure Milo was comfortable. They were in constant communication with us via phone and text to give us frequent updates. Thank you for all the love and care you provided for our senior dog!!

My two Dobermans had some anxiety during their trial, and instead of sending them away, Pooch gave them a second chance later that afternoon! Unlike other daycares we’ve been too.. :( they’re so friendly and respond + follow up very quickly!! 10/10 service. I’m so excited for my boys!!

Best Staff. Reliable. So appreciative of the care each and every individual employee provides for my pup. In my years of experience, clean and safe facility that maintains health records so your pup doesn’t come home with any sort of infection, etc. LOVE ALL YOU DO!!!

Being a first time pet owner and bringing a puppy to doggy daycare I was very nervous. The employees at the pooch hotel have gone above and beyond to take care of my puppy and make me feel comfortable with doggy daycare!

I recently had my puppy stay at the Pooch Hotel. My mind initially felt at ease after hearing positive recommendations and being under the impression that this was a high end dog hotel. This proved to be be untrue. To my surprise I had to come back early and I went to pick up my dog, however the condition I received him in was completely unacceptable. There was dried up urine all over him and fecal matter on his lower legs and paws. I had him groomed days before I brought him in but after I picked him up I had to vigorously scrub everything out from his fur. If it weren’t for me coming back early I would have probably never have learned of the abismal condition he was kept in for the price of a luxury stay. The last thing I want to do when I leave town is worry that the people who I trusted with my pup with have betrayed that trust in my absence. I tried reaching out to the hotel via email but have yet to review any sort of explanation.

This is the worst place in the entire world. Do not ever bring your pet here. I brought my dog here when I had to go on a trip for work a few days after he had surgery and they neglected him and fed him the incorrect food (I wrote detailed instructions on his tapered food schedule) which meant he wasn’t given his medication and was in pain. I watched on camera as he was forced to poop on the floor because he wasn’t taken out (hadn’t gone to the bathroom inside since he was a puppy and he was 10 years old). The camera is great to watch their negligence! The girl who brought him out to me acknowledged the lack of care and yet nothing was done and I received no response after repeatedly calling to complain in the hopes that this would never happen to another pet.

Pooch hotel has always taken great care of our dog and accommodated our early drop offs and late pickups. Their cameras are a little dated but their fantastic customer service is more than enough to make up for it.

We've boarded our dog, Whiskey, at Pooch Hotel twice. The video cameras are a nice touch and it's fun to see her enjoy play time with the other dogs. The staff is very friendly and responsive and I appreciate the "Pupdates" we receive with a pic and a short note on how she's doing. I'm sure there are other places in Boston we could take her to but we like the convenience of Pooch Hotel (24/7 pick-up and drop-off). We would recommend to anyone.

We had a great experience with Pooch Hotel! I was apprehensive about our first time boarding our dog, who is anxious and doesn't always get along with other dogs. I found the email communication from the staff to be excellent and timely, both before and during our pup's stay. In my experience the staff were conscientious and responsible, knowledgeable and reassuring to me, and gentle and caring with our pup.When we dropped him off, the facility seemed spacious and clean (no dog smell). We did end up paying a lot for a larger/luxury "room" because all of the smaller/standard options were already booked, but we would have gotten a more economical option if I'd booked further in advance. I'm sure our dog would have been fine in a smaller space, but the larger room also came with 24/7 webcam access, and it was nice to be able to check on him from 1300 miles away. Based on what I saw on the webcam, I was happy with the standard of care provided.The staff did a "temperament test" to see if he would get on well in the doggy playgroup while he was there. They decided not to put him in the playgroup, which wasn't a big surprise to me, but I appreciated that they had a system for evaluating socially awkward dogs like mine. We also paid extra for him to get more exercise and one-on-one time with the staff, which was worth the money if you can swing it.We booked him a bath at the end of his stay, so when I picked him up he was squeaky clean, healthy, and happy. I would definitely use Pooch Hotel again!

This was our first time boarding our 2-year-old pup anywhere, and it was a very positive experience! We were greeted by a very friendly and professional manager. The facility was clean and odor-free. Our dog’s suite had a webcam, and that couldn’t have been more reassuring for our first visit. Playgroups during the day gave him some good socialization and exercise. I received an email update with pictures, as well as timely responses to my email check-ins. We will send our pup to the Pooch Hotel again. Going to try their doggy daycare, too!

My dog Bentley doesn’t like other dogs and it is hard to find a daycare that accommodates this. So happy to find the Pooch hotel. They understand this and makes sure that he receives individual attention. He’s so happy to got to daycare now! There are a lot of more staff. The only downside is that when it’s super busy (like July 4th), they will cancel reservations for reactive dogs because they prioritize dogs that can play with others. I’ve done boarding here as well, and it went well. Highly recommend.

THE BEST PLACE! I sent my 3 month old puppy pug here and she's been going ever since. I was extremely nervous since she was only about 5 pounds when she started but the Pooch Hotel is very amazing and so gentle with her!! They even take her out of the playgroups if she is overwhelmed to keep her safe. I couldn't recommend this place enough!!!

Very disappointing in their price changes and dropping of their rewards program that gave pet parents early drop of privileges based on the dollars spent in the year. Now you have to pay another 25% to drop your dog off the same time you did last year? That is ridiculous-apparently they are just out to get your money…throughout Covid I continued to support the pooch even though I was working from home. I would occasionally still bring my dog to support them too bad they don’t care about customer loyalty!

Impossible to get ahold of anyone, when you do they’re full of attitude. I looked at the webcams and saw one of my two dogs wasn’t at play group and had to call (multiple times) to find out why and they told me my dog had bitten an employee (she barely has any teeth and has NEVER been aggressive towards people) and that she had to be in isolation after the incident. When we arrived to pick them up I asked for more information about this and they said there was no record of it and had no idea what I was talking about. Appalling, absolutely unbelievable inconsistent and poor communication. This place has gone so drastically down hill and we will never board here again.

What a fantastic facility! They were overly accommodating to our Lexi who was really skittish at first but eventually warmed up to the place. We are now transitioning her from her former daycare to Pooch Hotel based off of our trainer's recommendation and the level of service and communication we experienced working with the staff here. They are proactive in letting you know what is happening with your pup and super responsive if you want to check in. The cameras that they give you access to are also so reassuring that they want to allow you to have insight to what your pup is up to throughout the day. Nothing but a great experience so far!

Would not recommend. I have a 1.5 year old female golden retriever that I boarded here for 10 days. It was so hard getting in touch with them - I called at least 15 times over a period of four days and no one answered or got back to me. I finally sent a stern email asking them to send me photos and also give me access to the playgroup webcam - it took them a couple of days to give me access to the webcam but they didn't tell me when my dog was scheduled to be in playgroups so it wasn't all that helpful to have webcam access. They only shared one single photo of my dog literally a day before I picked her up. When I went to pick up my dog, there was no one at the front desk to let me in. It took about 20 minutes for me to catch the attention of a staff member who let me in. Worst of all, my dog developed lesions on her mouth while at the center - they didn't think to notify me about this. Never going back here.

My girlfriend and I had our dog stay here for a weekend while we celebrated our anniversary and it was honestly a fantastic idea and a great experience. Being able to watch our dog play through their webcam’s was also really nice. Our dog had a fun time too! We will definitely be coming back!

First time with our pup staying at the Pooch Hotel, and it was very positive! While it seems like a really big place, she got individual one-on-one attention. When we picked up we got detailed feedback on her interactions with other pups, how she ate, etc.... Very impressed! We'll be back.

Our Ellie loves the pooch hotel! Pooch hotel in Newton has been more than helpful to us and our requests- we love the flexibility in drop off and pick up times since they are a 24 hour operation. They send updates on how your pup is doing while they’re boarding, which makes you feel much better while away. I couldn’t thank the staff there enough!!

First time EVER leaving our high anxiety senior dog in 9 years. The staff emailed to update us and answered our calls and questions. They also Sent us pictures. The only thing that would be a lower rating is Webcam. Because she was not allowed out with other dogs, we never got to see her in camera since individual dogs start going out at 6 am but cameras do go on until 7am or depending on how many others, we miss her at night due to cameras turning off at 7p.m. Otherwise, 100% recommend Pooch Hotel!
