I recently took Pierre (my French Bulldog) to Doggone It for grooming, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making both me and my dog feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Not only did they do an amazing job grooming Pierre, but they also took the time to listen to my specific requests and preferences. The facility was clean and well-maintained, which is always reassuring when entrusting your pet to someone else's care. I highly recommend Doggone It to any pet owner looking for top-notch grooming services and a friendly atmosphere.

The groomers at Doggone-it! are true professionals. They take the time to get to know each dog's personality and needs, pay attention to details and are gifted and artful groomers. The vibe is warm and friendly and the owner is clearly committed to creating a hospitable and professional environment. I completely trust these folks with my dog and am in awe of how good he looks each time I pick him up.

This owner doesn’t care about keeping loyal customers and didn’t even have the decency to talk to me about my concerns before telling me not to come back. I have been bringing my dog here for over a year and loved this place, recommending it to others frequently. Today was an anomaly but apparently I’m not welcome back after I complained and asked for the grooming to be comp’d. I dropped my dog off at 9am and told them my dog had been given anti-anxiety meds because they usually try to get to him before the meds wear off. This time, five hours later and I still haven’t heard from them. I call a few times and can’t get through. I stop by at 3pm and they said they would get to him soon. At 5pm still no word. They are closing at 5:30 so I call. They said it would be another hour and explained the day was busy because the snow storm closure the day before pushed appointments to today. At this point I’m upset because a) that’s just not right, they should honor today’s appts and b) they could have said something at drop-off and I would have simply rebooked. Mind you today is Valentine’s Day. I had paid for a sitter and had dinner reservations. I had to cancel my reservations and still had to pay the sitter given the late notice. Dog is finally ready at 6:30 and I try to talk to the owner about how disappointed I am in the total lack of communication and the impact it had on my whole day’s schedule, not to mention my poor dog has been there 9 hours at this point. The owner (conveyed through the groomer) she would only comp 50% of the $130 bill. When I asked to speak with her directly the owner refused to come out but told the groomer to say I could walk away with the bill comp’d 100% but to not book here again. I was floored. This establishment was in the wrong, caused me considerable disruption and undue stress having ruined my Valentine’s Day plans (not to mention the anxiety my dog went through not having eaten all day either) and they told me to never come back if I wanted a full refund? Honestly, at this point, good riddance. It’s a shame that customers are so disposable to Desiree. They do good work, but a business should understand how small the community really is and how quickly their reputation can corrode when they take their customers for granted and treat them like garbage.

Jill and her team are great! It’s the only place my dog runs down the sidewalk to get to- every other place I had to drag her in. I’ve always followed her recommendations about length and never been disappointed with the cut. My dog is terrible when it comes to getting his nails clipped and Jill is incredibly creative and patient. I have even started sending her there for daycare and she loves it. Thank you to Jill and her team for taking great care of Ava!

I’ve been all over Boston trying to figure out where to take my Pom after moving here earlier this year. This is going to be my new permanent spot. They’re popular, but you can still get a last minute appointment if needed. My dog looked great and I love that they added a bow to her harness as she just pulls the ones in her hair out. Couldn’t recommend this place more!!

Really nice place for grooming your dog. I've checked couple of other places for price, and this place's price is fair. The person who answered the call and the lady who was at the front desk were super nice. It was nice to drop off your pet early in the morning, and when they are done, they give you a call with ample amount of time too. Highly recommend.

Tracy is awesome. She shares advice and is very flexible with scheduling an appointment. She is the only groomer i will use. Her prices are the lowest ive found too.

The wait time for booking an appointment is long, which is a testament to their great and consistent quality service. My dog was recently groomed elsewhere, Doggone-it is by far a greater overall grooming service and experience. My dog went in happy and came out happier and the grooming quality was much better than the competition. The groomer made a point of greeting us at the end of the visit and complimenting my pup.

They wouldn’t groom my dog because they said he was too old. They said he would be too tired to get his hair cut. We are new to the area. My dog has been getting groomed since he was a puppy with no problems. I told them they could call his old groomer to get a reference and they wouldn’t do that. My dog has always gone to a day care/groomer and gets along with all dogs, big, small, old and young. He’s a very active dog and goes on long walks everyday.

Can't say enough good things about Jill and the DogGoneIt! staff. I just adopted a rescue dog and she was very skittish and in desperate need of a bath...I called the shop and they were so understanding about the situation. They fit my dog in that day and expedited her bath so that she could get in and out as quickly as possible. Jill was outstanding as she stepped in to help my dog (and me!) and tuned in right away with the best method for helping a very nervous dog. Great service!

Two weeks ago I adopted 2 small rescue dogs who are understandably nervous going anywhere, away from their new home! I stopped in here without an appt in the afternoon and they took us right away. They could not have been nicer, kinder or more efficient! Everyone from the receptionist to the tech who (sorry I can't recall names) were wonderful! Very professional and did a great job!

My Chihuahua needed nail clipping desperately I called a few places on a Saturday noon all said see ya but not this fine establishment. They said come by so I brought my dog and told them Sadie was nervous so Desiree came out as I held my dog and clipped her nails right there in the reception area. Bravo I was in and out in about seven minutes. It’s fantastic and I highly recommend it I’ll go there for now on YAY. Regrettably their credit card machine does not allow tips 🙄 so please bring cash they deserve it. 😊 Thanks S. Elba

Dog Gone It does a wonderful job on my dogs….they always have but what impresses me the most is their professionalism and thoughtfulness. We have an aging dog who could no longer be left for grooming and they asked about him and offered to do d ok e basics if needed. We do appreciate their kindness!

My BMD just got back from Doggone-it and he looks amazing. We have been going here for over a year and Moose gets groomed every 3 weeks. We LOVE Jill!!! She is so great with him and all the other dogs that come in while I am there. We'd never go anywhere else!! All the staff I have worked with are great. This business is a god send. We were watching my parents dog for the week and he was overdue for grooming as he had a very bad dog smell from his daily swimming at the park. The smell lingered in both my car and my apartment and I desperately needed a groomer last minute. I probably called around 30 different businesses and either just got voicemails or unprofessional/rude people over the phone when asking about cancellations. When I called Doggone-it they were polite and friendly and we happily ready to take us last minute for the next day.Inside the area is very well kept aside from the grooming area of course with all the fur but you could see the grooming area when you walked in and from the outside. You could easily see the up-to-date tools and equipment they used that also appeared well kept.When we got my parents dog back he smelled so much better and was clearly very happy to have been there. Additionally, they gave him a cute little bandanna as part of the grooming which I loved.Thank you again to the owners and workers of Doggone-it! I will definitely be recommending you to all of our friends and family.

Terrible experience. My dogs were dropped off first thing this morning @8 am and were the first ones in the door for grooming. It took 2 phone calls and 6 hours for my two dogs to be done. Absolutely absurd that they would be there for that long. How is it almost an entire work day to complete two dogs? Not to mention the haircuts they received were terrible. If you would like to have your dogs miserable and away for 6 hours then this is the place to go.

This is 5 star grooming at reasonable pricing. Would you want your best friend to receive anything less? Plus, just walking in the door you feel the LOVE that is going on! Dogs are playing until or after it's their turn. Experienced eyes and hands are on duty as well, letting owners know if something is awry (skin health, ticks etc). Makes a potentially fearful (think dentist) situation a wonderful one (think doggie play group)!!

I was excited to try this place as I’d heard great things but I was very disappointed upon picking up my dog a few weeks ago.Although the staff was polite, it took a couple days after the blow dry wore off to realize they had barely trimmed his nails, his facial hair was just as long, and they hadn’t trimmed his coat as requested. I specifically asked them to trim his coat by half and it seems they bathed him and blow dried him exactly as he was without any type of actual grooming. It is unclear if they actually cleaned his ears, but now only a couple of weeks later, I need to find a new groomer because they didn’t do the job I requested. Typically, he can go months without a new grooming, but obviously with the summer months we can’t leave him in this furry state. It was a complete waste of money, which was very disappointing because I had heard such good reviews.

I can’t say enough great things about Doggone it! Simply put, I have been coming here for 7 years, and eveytime my dog looks great. Jill and Hilary are gentle and loving toward my dog. My dog has a painful hip and they really show patience towards her. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Awful customer service. $100 for grooming, even though they quote you $60-70 over the phone. Asked to speak with the manager and was told that she was tired and did not want to speak. We are very upset with their customer service on the phone and in person. Let me save you some time, don't bother even thinking about this place if you need your dog groomed. Doesn't even seem like they like dogs. Unacceptable and they will be reported on here, yelp, BBB and all other review boards and I will be in touch with my attorney, since this place does not take anything seriously and their tired.

This is really a great groomer! "Chester" is a very sensitive puppy and he seems to do great here. Staff is very friendly and the facility is very clean. I drop him off at 8:30 and they have him done before lunch. Perfect!

If I could give it zero stars, I would. We had been going to this place for a few years with two of our family dogs. They managed to cut BOTH of our dogs (at different times) - this last one especially bad. We just picked up our boy today, and his entire stomach area has red razor burns, one puncture especially deep. The dog has been whimpering all afternoon. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE.
