Jane has been the best groomer I’ve encountered in Boston. I emailed a little under a week ago and I was able to get my dog groomed already. She was so friendly and really listened for what I wanted for my dog. I’ll be coming back without a doubt!

Jane does a pristine job every time. However, her system of contact is outdated and her people to people skills are not very friendly. I was a loyal customer for 4 years until recently. The only way she responds to inquiries or appointments is via email. If you call, it’s very rare she answers and her inbox is always full. If you have to reschedule, be aware, she does not take likely to that no matter if it’s an emergency or not. I had to reschedule my last appointment due to an emergency and could not get in contact with her till almost 6pm that day. She showed no compassion and was more concerned about missing “money in her pocket” than making sure all was okay on my end as this emergency occurred during COVID-19 and I lost a family member. She wouldn’t know that though because she didn’t care to ask and was angry she missed out on filling my spot. So if you read this Jane, now you know. I wished her all the best in my reply rather than argue and found a great groomer closer to my house that actually answers their phone and are very flexible. My dog ended up getting a phenomenal haircut from them! Blessing in disguise. I hold no resentment, Jane is very talented. She just needs to be more compassionate with her clients and get a better system in place for appointments.

Jane at Newton Highlands Grooming and Pet Boutique is super friendly and treats our dog with the utmost care. She doesn't compromise on the safety and comfort of your dog. You HAVE to email her to get in touch though. Expect some slower responses as she's always busy.

Jane was wonderful with our long haired cat. He needed to have all his back hair shaved off due to severe matting. Despite our cat really resisting his catbox and being completely freaked out, as soon as Jane held him he seemed to relax and know he was in good hands. He got a Lion Cut. He is looking very regal now and he def seems to knows it. Great experience at Newton Highlands Pet.

Love this place. Jane does such a wonderful job. Always happy when picking my shitzu mix up. Just adopted a maltipoo can't wait to see her work her magic on him. I live in Boston and travel to Newton to get great service.

Jane has been grooming my dog, Rodeo since he was a puppy. Now Rodeo has a new friend Roxy. They both look great after they have been groomed.

If you have a puppy they will take your puppy and charge you $30 once your dog hits close to 5 to 6 months and they will charge you $70 for a dog even if that dog is under 5 lb me myself I feel that there is not $70 worth of dog there to be spending that type of money... this place is okay to go only for a one-time puppy visit
