Went here for Covid and Flu vaccine. They were on time and courteous. Even though they were busy, they still were able to keep within 10 minutes of my appointment.

Just like life, there are negative interactions and positive interactions in any setting where people must work together. For instance, this morning/early afternoon I had a relatively unpleasant experience with the pharmacy staff. And I was all ready to write a negative review until I went back later that afternoon and had a truly rare and positive experience. It just proves the point that timing and the staff on duty and many other variables can be the difference between a good and bad experience. When I returned in the afternoon to deal with the mistake made earlier that day, the service was pleasant and efficient. There is no drive-through at this location as it is located in a shopping strip mall.

My insurance carrier recently switched Rx programs so had to use this pharmacy for 1st time today. I called ahead to ask if they'd received the prescription and insurance info. The person who answered tried to tell me to "just come in" but I don't see the point in making the trip if I won't walk out with the medication. It was a challenge to explain the situation because she kept interrupting with assumptions that were wrong. The whole conversation was rushed, she was rude and abrupt, and I am still not sure if I will walk out with the medication later today. Wish my carrier still had CVS as their Storey Ave folks are friendly and professional no matter how busy.

NEGATIVE. Suspect understaffed & overworked. On hold for 30min (4 calls, 3 of which were disconnected). Finally someone picks up to yell that I should “just wait one second.” They finally answer, are categorically rude & dismissive, ultimately talking over me as I try to explain how I need assistance.

After making an appointment for a vaccination and filling out the questionnaire, I expected that I would be only a few minutes. I arrived 15 minutes early as requested and not only was there no record of my appointment (even though I had a confirmation email) but there was also no record of the form I filled out on-line. I finally received the vaccine 1 hour after my allotted time. I realize the fault lies with management and not the pharmacy staff. Several people arrived and found the same issue.

On hold for almost a half hour just to get hung up on. Twice. Don't waste your time, go somewhere else if you have the option.

I haven't had anything but fine interactions with the pharmacy or the man who is usually at the check out, but whenever I need help in finding an item, I get only a vague wave in some direction from a "floating" staff member. I am always pleasant when I need help, but in return, I get with total disinterest.

Horrible. Drug out of stock. Have to run to Salem where it is said to be in stock but isn't. Go to Gloucester. The Newburyport staff is incompetent. 9/11/17: I reiterate that this pharmacy needs work. Not only have drugs been out of stock but service is slow, unable to find filled rx. I wish there was a good independent in Newburyport but there isn't. Rude, extremely rude, people at pharmacy desk. Do they ever smile? Or are customers their nemesis? 'Go away customer' is how I feel there. If you want to order rx's via insipidly incompetent voice mail system after hours, you can no longer leave a message for the pharmacy. You can't pretend to be a doctor unless you have more than one phone because the system recognizes the number and won't let you leave a message. So, if you want to change quantity, ask that a doctor be called, no way! This is a store that should have a sign that says "CUSTOMER STAY AWAY! WE HATE YOU. LEAVE NOW'

I had major problems with them in the past, but as of late, they have worked really hard to help me and my family with our medication and I can’t thank them enough for what they have done

Update-- they did change their times.You need to change your pharmacy hours I almost came down today (Thursday) it says it's open til 10 pm

I'm pretty happy with the Walgreen's pharmacy. They even go out of the way to get me my preferred brand of the Rx I take.

Very old school Walgreens in a run down shopping center with a Market Place grocery store and a Marshall's. Actually feels like a drug store from the 80s.
