CVS Pond street PASSES the mark once more! There were PLENTY of staff/employees today when I just went to pick up my RX. Everyone working diligently as usual and all just as friendly and accommodating. Never a bad thing to say about this branch in Newburyport!

New to the area I found myself without medication I needed immediately due to mail-order issues. I had a script called into this CVS but when I went to pick it up my insurance company refused to fill it. I wish I knew her name because the pharmacy technician who helped me saved me that day- she was able to partially fill my script, use a discount card, and get me the medication I needed when I needed it. I can not be more appreciative as she was compassionate, friendly, and efficient even though the pharmacy was hopping! Thank you to her and the pharmacy staff, this is where my scripts will be going from now on!

This store is seriously understaffed. HIRE SOME COMPETENT PHARMACY STAFF!Yesterday my brother waited 90 minutes to fill my paper prescriptions. Seems to be a chronic problem, even when electronically RX’ed. I’ve had to wait up to an hour on several occasions.The otc stock is typically low, very evident when looking for things online. Overpriced if it’s in stock.Dusty, cramped, unkempt appearance throughout the store. Sloppy?!At best this an inconvenience store.Need to update signage re being on a 24 hour store to current accurate hours.There also is delivery charge and it still takes a few days to receive them. If there were same day delivery it would almost be worth paying for, but still isn’t acceptable to pay for. Not a good business policy when you need a Med asap, or are a senior and have to take a bus! It takes at least an hour to get a bus, fill script and catch a bus home. Nowhere to sit and wait.I would use another pharmacy but this is only 5 minutes from where I live! Might be better off though.

The pharmacy staff themselves are wonderful. The store as a company is a joke. Running a pharmacy with ONE tech and ONE pharmacist is insane. On top of verifying, processing and filling orders, they are also answering the phones and running register. That is absolutely asinine. Not too mention due to horrible ordering skill, they constantly mess up my medications. I've been off one for a week now due to it 'being on order'.

It’s says on Google Maps that the hours were updated by the business 4 days ago. Says 24 hours. Should be open now at 12:15am. But the store hours have been changed it looks like. You guys REALLY need to update your services and note that this location is no longer 24/7. Just spent 20 minutes driving here and now another 20+ minutes to the next closest 24/7 location.

Horrible!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Had to wait in line for 15 min and then was told to wait in another line after waiting. Stuff are rude and insensitive. Took forever for them to fill a simple medication

Had an unfortunate experience during which an emergent prescription was requested and reported as filled via the CVS app but upon arrival I was told that the pharmacy had closed an hour earlier than there posted hours. Why bother filling a script and marking it as ready after closing early? Would have just been easier had it not been filled until the morning, avoiding an unnecessary trip...

I filled out the on-line covid vaccine form 3 times each time taking at least 15 minutes. ALL 3 time the appointment was cancelled. I could not risk wasting more time so I went to the competition and got it no problem.NOW, I stopped in when I saw the sign out front for Flu shot. I stopped in after check on line. On line you can not make a reservation. The person there said we don't do that then another nice lady said to call the 800 number which I did from my car. The 800 said "flu shots are being administered every day. NO appointment necessary. When I went back, and obviously over worked lady yelled at me and said I don't know how busy they are. I don't care when they waisted so much of my time. I will never go to a CVS again .... FOR ANYTHING!

CVS in general are bad, but this one is the worst. Every time I take my friend to pick up prescriptions they are not ready. Even though 4 hours earlier they said it would be ready in 30 minutes. Sometimes they can not find the prescriptions and have to dig thru all the bins looking for them. Its a terrible situation. Have plenty of time available if you must use this CVS.

Cvs is still my favorite pharmacy and store..employees are always helpful and friendly..I recently purchased a silver mood ring from here..and I gotta say the quality of this ring and price is just awesome!!!! I've bought expensive rings from jewelry shops that have turned my fingers green after 3 days of wearing them..it's been 2wks with this ring and I can still wear it with no problems..I always find cool little treasures at this store 😀 thanks cvs and keep up the good work 👍👍

Like I said in the video it would be hard to improve I had a perfectly great experience already. Get more employees like Tyler, would take seriously, and would help even an outrageous requested of a snow shovel in July.

Three of us went into this CVS today for a flu shot after checking with them on hours/days for shots. When we checked in at the pharmacy at 4:00 pm on a Thursday they said “they were too busy to do flu shots.’” Maybe the sign on the door should be more specific. Instead of saying Flu Shots it should say Flu Shots... when we’re not too busy. The other CVS in town was a half hour wait even though no one else was waiting. Maybe CVS isn’t the best place to get your flu shot!

This CVS pharmacy is the worst. It takes at least 15 minutes or more for them to pick up the phone, if they even pick up the phone. Call else where unless this is the very last CVS in your area

Always waiting for a very long time to pick up prescriptions. I received a text that my two prescriptions are ready for pickup and when I arrived only one was available. Never can get them on the phone

Great store, fabulous pharmacy staff, one of the best run chain stores I have ever been in. I have been a customer for many, many years. I get at least 1 prescription filled a month and I have NEVER had a bad experience at this location. Love the CVS app for refilling my prescriptions.

I was discharged from AJH in the evening on Sept 14 after being there for 6 days. My Doctor called cvs and also sent a paper script for oxycodone. He had changed the amount from X2 to X4/day. My daughter went to pick it up. I gave her my license.The female pharmacist refused to fill the script. I ve been a regular patient there. I am very upset about the treatment she received. The pharmacist ?) told her that the ID had to match the script. Obviously it did match.For some reason she decided not to fill my script.I find this to be unacceptable treatment. Another store had no problem filling it. I dont know what to say about this pharmacist. Something is very wrong there

Falsely advertises as being open 24 hours online. Posted hours of operation are 7am to midnight, but the store is generally closed by 11pm regardless. Please stop falsely advertising and bringing people to your store needlessly after hours when they should be going elsewhere at that time for their needs.

I wanted to take a minute to say a few kind words about my local pharmacy: CVS on Pond Street Newburyport. My husband and I have both lived in the area since graduating from college (over twenty-two years) and have been patrons of the CVS on Pond street ever since we moved here. Now with a family and a busy schedule we spend a lot of time running into the store for anything from cough medicine and school supplies to birthday cards, milk or perhaps when we accidentally run out of toilet paper at 2 am! Everyone that works at the store is especially helpful and always very pleasant. I am always asked if I found everything I was looking for and have even been approached asking if I need help finding anything. In particular, I want to mention the pharmacy. We have a couple of regular monthly prescriptions which has allowed me to become familiar with the some of the pharmacists and staff. It is something special when the pharmacist greets you by name in the corporate world we live in. I always feel like I am on some sort of VIP list when I go in and all of my favorite friendly faces are there. I have always been treated with kindness and patience when I have had a question about a particular over-the counter medicine and remember when Steve Fletcher, one of the pharmacists, even spent considerable time calling around to other pharmacies to check on a medication that was out of stock in their store. It was as busy as usual on that particular day, but he went above and beyond to make sure I had the medication I needed for my daughter. I would like to give special thanks to Steve, who ALWAYS greets me by name and with a smile! Also some of the friendliest and professional techs (Josh, Christina, Derrick and Mary, in particular) make my visit a great one every time. In a world where most people are too busy to do their jobs well-or at all, the staff of CVS Pharmacy makes me remember back to the days when I was growing up; back when people in your local store actually knew you by name and wanted to help in any way they they could.
