Has easily become one of the most, if not the most, expensive chain(s) in the area. If service and product were rendered at relative value, fine, but they are not. Everything is always EMPTY, and if it’s not, it’s rotten. No, they’re not unpacking. Deplorable stocking, pricing, and level of service. It’s no longer worth a trip for even for 5 items or less. Considering this was a better location, not a good look.

This particular, Stop & Shop is so poorly managed! I’ve been putting up with it for a long time, but finally decided to post a review. Today was another wasted trip, because they had no arugula, and many shelves were empty. I went to get scallions… Nope! I needed bay leaves… The produce manager said they don’t get them anymore. And on and on it went. This is the absolute worst store, especially the produce department.

The store is clean, and the associates are very helpful in informative their products . The cashiers are very helpful, and most of them are considerate about putting the groceries in the bags so that they don't break the eggs or squash the slice bread.

one of worst stop and shop locations around, it used to be the best, now they are always out of everything, and all that shopping carts are in need of MAJOR repairs or replacement, wheels are never rolling correctly, my cart had a whistling bearing that started halfway through my shopping experience.

As expected average supermarket with average prices and above average friendly people. Employees go out of their way for customers. Small size for most healthy foods. Needs more Large size organic, no anti-biotic, no-pesticide non-GMO products. For example Organic hummus could be sold in much bigger sizes than available now. Since last post they added more organic grass-fed and pasteur raised products and earned a 4th star.

I go here often as a instacart shopper and as a customer for myself. I always find what I’m looking for. I really love the deals they have, I enjoy trying new things especially if it’s on sale! Employees are friendly and always doing a good job keeping all the shelves stocked. My only complaints are the shopping carriages are really old and don’t work that well. And the paper bags they offer for bagging the groceries aren’t good at all and often rip. I suggest bringing your own reliable reusable shopping bags!

As a visitor of New Bedford, I had a pleasant time shopping here for the days I spent out there. Employees were nice and helpful. The place looks clean. The selection of organic products in this store was more than what can be found in the Stop&Shops in and surrounding Boston.I almost forgot to mention one annoying caveat. Many of the carts are old and super squeaky, and wheels tend to lock up frequently on some of them. Basically, the carts are opposite of what the store looks like 😅Although the prices are still a bit high when it comes to shopping at Stop&Shop, this has been the best one I've shopped at so far.

Been shopping here my whole life. Never had a problem. These newer cashiers are not it. I could point out at least two of them that are presumptuous and rude. I'm talking about giving me a cold stare as soon as I step into their line. Never saying a word to me. Letting out a sigh and then scanning my groceries comically slow. It's like they don't know that they're representing a company. I don't have problems like this in any of the other locations. Do they treat everyone like this or am I getting singled out for some reason?

I like this location for the convenience and sales they offer. I shop here often and love the staff at this store. They is always someone around to help answer your questions and find the items you are looking for when shopping. Each week they offer a variety of items they put on sale. Give them a try on your next shopping trip.

The store is in a convenient location staff is friendly and the floral Dept is incredible the floral staff is super friendly and helpful and their prices are less expensive than other florists in the area and quality is far betterAnd they do funeral and wedding flowers

my absolute favorite stop n shop, not because of the prices though thats for sure. I love the employees here because they let me bring my large service dog, my experience has been positive for the most part. They all love coming up to get kisses from my pup 💖 even some of the customers do as well (only because I allow this) thank you to the wonderful employees for giving me a comfortable place to shop !

Charging customers 10 cents for paper bags due to environmental issues is BS. After paying for the bags and them being everywhere then what happens to the environment. You should just have a policy to sell or bring your own reusable bags.

The pharmacy at this location is a breath of fresh air compared to the other large pharmacies in the area. The staff is very helpful and it reminds me of what a pharmacy used to be like when the staff knows you name and they go above and beyond to help you.

Stop & Shop is great, however. It irks me to the "nth degree" that when I go early to get the items I need & get out quickly, there is 1 cashier open & the person has 4 people in line. & the customer in front of me has 300 items & I have 3, (self serve not yet open) & they refuse to open another register it just really pi**** me off to no end. What's the purpose of going @ that time if I'm done shopping in 5 minutes but have to wait on line for a half hour. It's not the employee that is making minimum wage (or close to it) that should deal with the frustration of the customer, it's the managers in the golden tower that should deal.with it, come on guys break down & have an extra cashier in the am please?

Shelves are mostly empty, and you cant find what you need anymore since COVID. This use to be our #1 place to go but it's our quick pick up place right now and we do our Big shopping elsewhere.

I decided to stop and buy my lunch at stop and shop while I was out walking around the city, and was a bit disappointed. I bought some ready made chicken wings which were generally good but I was not a fan of the garlic parmesan and one of the others, but since I got a few of each, I'm not sure what the other flavor was that had an off taste. I also bought a quart of chobani sweet vanilla coffee which was marked down... While sitting outside, I found out why when I got near the bottom and it got chunky. I checked the date on it and it said October 24. Today is the 30th. They did let me return it and get my money back, but it didn't quite make up for having to chew my coffee. Other than that, not horrible. They, like most grocery stores, do accept EBT.

It is frustrating at times. No good 80/20 ground beef- the packs that are not pressed in a rectangular shape. The packs like that always taste weird. Many times everyday items are out of stock. Also I feel like the gas points system is kind of a scam because your gas prices are often 10-20 cents more per gallon than other local gas stations so I'd have to buy extra food just to match those prices. Also the points expire too soon in my opinion.

Very pricey!! Spent 161$ on almost nothing. Baggers not very good. Loaded all the heavy items on top the soft stuff. Bags were ripping, due to heaviness

My family has been doing business with Stop and Shop since before me and my brother were born, my mother and her family have shopped there for years and passed on the tradition of having me and my brother going there for all of our food options. I am friendly with the employees and staff and always say hi to them. My father would go there for his gas and snacks, I will recommend this store to my friends and family.

He complimented my hair and We bonded over our shared adhd. just our 3 minute interaction was so kind&genuine. I don’t know his name but if he sees this thanks dude you made my day. I was so impressed with the cleanliness and displays today. Fresh fruit and vegetables as soon as you walk in displayed like for a commercial. The foods to go and cooked turkeys were lunch and supper for my family. The deli was immaculate. Loved all the fresh healthy options!!! Staff was so friendly too!!

Always clean! Lots of parking! Handicap parking and wheelchair accessible! Friendly staff! Large selection of food, beverages, toiletries, cosmetics, medicines and household goods! Easy to find on the main road! And easy to find right off of the highway exit! Lots of sales and love using my manufacturer's coupons as well as my online coupons and rewards card!

Had a crabby cashier when going through the 12 items or less, we had 2 boxes unopened of yogurt(24 total) and the lady complained that it was over 12 items and it shouldn't of been in the boxes still. I agree it was over 12 items but the gentleman that was stocking it gave it to us in the boxes and we also thought it would make it easier to ring in. But she was so rude about saying it, I didn't feel she should of said anything we tried making it easy there was only 2 registers open.the line for more than 12 was so long and we had just the yogurt, maybe she didn't want to do any work at all but the store itself should of had at least 1 more register open. I love going there and this was the first time we dealt with such a rude cashier.

Look every single item sold in this store is at least 25% more expensive than the surrounding stores but they also are the only store in the area that carries all the things you need if you're into healthy eating. Cream of Rice, Almond Butter, grass fed beef, fresh fish, the best vegetables, and also the fastest self-checkout of any store.If you're only looking to buy cheap eggs, milk, cereal and bread for the family however I would recommend you go somewhere else.
