Never in my life have I ever heard of a return policy like downtown location. Even with a receipt you can only get a gift card for returns. The policy states returns with receipt are given back how you paid. Never been so inconvenienced. Will not be returning.

I paid for my box of cigarettes and she never put them in the bag, so I tried calling the phone number that is listed and it puts me through to a store in Cinanatti. There is no possible way tobgetvthroughbtobthis store by phone and I live all the way in the north end to have to make a trip when it was not my fault. I even tried calling every family dollar store in New Bedford and not one employee has the new number. I also sent them an email. I would really like what I paid for and I do understand that not everyone is perfect and ppl make mistakes sometimes, but not being able to talk to anyone and voice my concern is absolutely absurd. Especially, now I am home without cigarettes and I planned on having a wonderful relaxing weekend with my fiancé. I would love it, if someone would respond back to me on here or on the email I sent with my phone number. Thank you

The downtown location is very convenient and they carry a good variety of so many things BUT the store looks like they filmed the tornado 🌪️ scene from "The Wizard of Oz" in there! It's a mess! I half expect to turn a corner and find the Wicked Witch of the East's feet sticking out from under an unopened case of Pampers after it toppled over and crushed her to death!!

The problems at this store on purchase st. In New Bedford isn't so much with the employees, it's the management . Freezers at this store have been out of commission for nearly 3 months now ..Also, they often have no bags, plastic or paper...the paper bags rip like they're made out of tissue paper.

From one Dollar Store to another, they are 'about the same'. There are no 'TRUE' $.99 Dollar Stores anymore. The Dollar Stores, Walmart to Target, and everything in-between, etc... "All" sell China made things/stuff. The liberal & rino's in Wash-DC "SOLD-OUT" the US manufacturing system. Wash-DC politics have 3 words with-in it. Liars, cheaters, and thieves. #45 was the best I have ever witnessed. #47 coming to all neighborhoods soon, ...period ☮️

Very bad working conditions at the Family Dollar, downtown New Bedford. No heat in the store especially during the drop in temperature we're having. Employees were very uncomfortable.

Decent cheap stuff, if you don’t mind having to turn sideways to get through the mountains of overstock. Every time I’ve ever been here, at least half the aisles are blocked with five foot tall walls of cardboard. Rarely it’s on wheels and can be moved to access the products behind it. More often it’s precariously stacked so you don’t dare get close.

Staff is lazy, got bad attitudes, or focus more on socializing with thier bum friends instead of working. Store is a wreck 90% of the time cant move down most the isles. If i was the owner they would "all" be in the unemployment line. And to top it all off its very rare to buy electronics that dont look used or is definitely broken in that store... I recommend nobody waste thier time going there.

I go at least twice a week to the store. Since they get a lot of merchandise sometimes is a little hard to walk around the aisles. Waiting time sometimes seem a bit excesive and unorganized. Sometimes they have two cashiers for less people than when is a long line for one cashier, until the manager decides to get board to move the line. I think they should change the name cause is not a dollar store no more. Yes you can find a lot of cheap stuff but you also find a lot of stuff they sell cheaper in the supermarket. It seems that they have a problem with shoplifters. I told An employee the parent company should start paying security guards. She said they would not do it.

Love this place. Saves me tons of money and time since it's so conveniently located downtown. Expect crazy crowds on the 1st of every month. That can be said about every place that time of month. The staff and cleanliness of the store has improved along with the selection.

Family dollar is always fun ;; somehow today for the first time in my life I ended up with an extra item in my bag once I looked @ home, I can't find the receipt but I must have paid for it, especially considering I didn't do the bagging.. lol good times !

I like Family Dollar a lot. I shop there frequently for items that I am going to be running out of. Being downtown makes it very convenient for me, as I don't live far away from it.

The store is cluttered and feels more like a pawn shop. The one cashier had to go to the back to let her friends use the bathroom, leaving 4 people waiting for almost 5 minutes just to check out. Can't think of a reason I'd ever shop there again.

A mess. Long line cashier talking and playing w other customers in line while ignoring the one she was serving. Was left alone in the store bad area while 2 employees went to smoke. They came in jamming to music real Lou's of a sound box being rude saying whoever had a problem to say something. Tss

As I go in to see what this store has for drinks. Aside from milk, Hawaiian punch there really wasnt anything. As I'm headed out I see boxes of drinks that belong put in the refrigerator section. Like get off you lazy butts and get work done.

The prices are good but the store is always dirty,cluttered hard to walk around inside seems like the employees are overworked and under paid because when you go to check out that's what there always complaining about onany occasion ,there customer service not of good quality
