The cashier was very cordial with us. She was very nice to our dog. She helped us apply coupons. We spent over $200 in purchases. It's nice that Petco allows customers to bring pets into the store. We never leave without buying a few things.

Well the visit was sad to say the least as we went to have our 17 year old fur baby to sleep. I have to say the vet and the vet tech were great. They made a sad situation as comfortable as it could be. The vet tech was amazing and truly you can tell she picked the right career for herself ❤️

Bad Customer Service! This store wanted to charge me double the amount of the listed price on the shelf just because I was not interested in signing up to their Pals program. I told the man on the register that the price on the shelf was not that amount (He said he didm't believe it, and refused to go look.) I also showed him the Price online on Multiple different sites (including Petco). He lied and said I can only get the standard Price for the item anywhere Chewy - Walmart - Amazon etc... if I signed up for the Pals Program with him. I asked for a refund went to a different petco and got it for the normal Price without any issue or (Signup)

I found all the food I was looking for, for my cats, including some pet grass which was near the checkout! I'm glad that you're carrying it. The only downside is that it seems rather expensive. I buy pet grass from a local microgreens place in Hyde Park who sells the same size for $6. Your's was $8.99, and the bottom was root bound. Anyway, thank you for carrying it.

The counter lady was very entertaining and nice. She gets five stars plus plus!!!The price of what I bought had increased about 30% since last time; this is WAY, WAY MORE THAN INFLATION, and is suggestive of price gouging. The product was more fresh than the last two times, I noticed, but that may be because it had just been delivered that day according to the staff.With these increases I give the product a basic rating of three stars, plus one more for freshness, but minus three stars for the price increase so it gets one star at present, down from two or three the last few times.Given the increase, I might try PetSmart up the street to see what they offer.

They were so attentive and nice. They ensured that I did not pay for anything I did not need at that right moment and rescheduled me for the following week to ensure that everything would financially be well for me.

The two employees who I interacted with were extremely rude. One aggressively asked questions based on my knowledge on shrimp and beta fish since I am helping a friend establish a tank. Then when I replied to his questions he would ignore me and look at my second friend (the only man in the group) and completely refuse to make eye contact with me or continue conversation with me.

I really liked how I got an appointment the next day to have a vet look at my injured cat. Scheduling with Petco is a lot faster than finding time with a vet clinic which are booked out for weeks.

I would advise people not to use the grooming service. Both times my dog had little nicks on his face and neck from 2 different groomers. Might be the setup they have to keep the dog’s head steady or could be a training issue.

My cats are very finicky eaters and fortunately Petco has a wide variety of cat food. Petco is also very nice about returns so I have tried different brands and flavors, returning what they don't like and having Petco deliver their favorites to the house.

The Puppy 1 course with Phoebe was terrific. She has an amazing way with pups and their people. I’m a veterinarian and experienced dog parent but I still learned so much! Have been recommending Phoebe’s classes to all my clients with pups. Can’t wait for Puppy 2!Also, the staff at the front counter is so friendly, always interested in our pup and making us feel welcome! Impressed!I used to avoid Petco Needham st. because prices were high and staff seemed disengaged, but things have really turned around.

Grooming: the staff here is great. Lisa took such good care of our dog and us. The cut was perfect and done in less time than expected. They are short staffed and you may not be able to book them online, but they are happy to make an appt over the phone.

I always feel sorry for the staff at this store, I don’t think headoffice cares about them or the store. They always seem short staffed, when I visited there were no carry bags (again), the store always seems a bit disorganized, not very clean, and sad.

The staff were great, the organization was spot on, and the lines were quick. My only reason for such a low review is that the isles felt overcrowded, and their small pet supply selection was disappointingly small. Lots of hay and food, but not much in the way of hides and enrichment products.

I can only speak for the aquatics department. Adam is always amazing as the leader of this team. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful, he truly has a passion for marine fish and coral, and very careful to not sell any fish that he is unsure about health wise. Others in the department are not nearly as knowledgeable about marine tanks so if you have a saltwater setup I would try and go when Adam is there, M-Sat until 4pm. I am not a huge Petco fan in general but there really is no better place in Boston for marine fish.

I delivered a truck load to this location, and it was a pleasant experience. Keep up the good work! When making a pick up or delivery, be very careful when you leave; it's a very tight turn around the building for a big truck.

Although I wasn't able to find a harness for my very tiny puppy the staff were extremely helpful and we did leave with puppy food. They had an excellent selection of both dog and cat supplies.
