I had the pleasure of lunch with my family at this scenic beachfront restaurant during the height of the summer season, and it was nothing short of exceptional. This spot commands attention not only for its stellar ocean views but also for its well-curated drinks and beer menu.The summer sun casting its golden hue on the crashing waves offered a serene backdrop to the experience. Meanwhile, the delectable drinks proved to be the perfect companions, their excellent quality quenching our thirst in the summer heat. The various beers available were impressive, satisfying even the most discerning palates.Yet, it was not just the view or the drinks that left an indelible mark, and it was the service too. Our waiter demonstrated professionalism and attention to detail, which elevated our dining experience. She was incredibly gentle, ensuring each element of our order was perfectly catered to our liking. Her attentiveness and dedication were admirable, making us feel more like guests than customers.This beachfront gem has left a lasting impression, and I eagerly look forward to my next visit. The front door staff lady’s service was very poor and impolite. Walked in and requested a table with sea view, offered a table far away from window plus very dark and thought this might be the best option. After ordering food spotted many empty tables by window with sea view, then we nicely and politely asked the lady if we could change table, she said: no you can’t, if you have ordered food you have to sit at your table, you accepted when you sat down then you have to sit there…..In the end the manager allowed to change table, the front desk lady was so upset gossiping about us in the back, and cold face all the way through we eating, felt like we were eating in a prison.Food is average.

I've been to this restaurant twice. One for lunch and one for dinner. The view is always beautiful. I believe there's no waiting for lunch, but reservation is required for dinner (especially in summer). I remember the food being great but this last time the food was not what I expected. I came to have baked haddock but the oven wasn't working so I ordered something else.

Had a reservation for 4 and we ordered 4 apps which were good except the nachos.We all wanted seafood that’s why we chose this place! We ordered different options of seafood and seafood platters., which was the only great part of our experience here. Service could have been better she was all over the place and kept forgetting drinks ..which were soda and water. Over all sea level would be better in price and atmosphere and definitely in service!

Had a nice early dinner at Tides after a wedding venue viewing in Nahant. Started with Buffalo tenders. They were pretty standard. I ordered the fried seafood platter. Came with a nice serving of fried haddock bites, fried scallops(the best part of the plate, really good) and fried shrimp. Side of bean and corn salad and some onion rings which were really solid as well. My fiance got a plain cheese pizza, I liked the sauce. Good experience, good margs, and good service.

Get Prime Rib sandwich regularly, last time I had scraps thrown in roll! Today, I specifically told server I wanted a nice cut because last time I was given scraps but did not say anything.What do I get after asking for nice cut, SCRAPS again!As a Chef to send out a plate like that I would consider being janitor moving fwd.! ….as a Tides card holder I would expect much better. I will add pic. VERY SAD.

Food and drinks were perfect! Waitress named Brooke was on the ball and super friendly. We made reservations for 12:30 lunch today on Sunday, it was the perfect beach day and service & food did not disappoint! Pizza, burger, prime rib and rum drinks all tasted amazing and Brooke was just the right amount of friendly and attentive! Thank you Tides for a relaxing afternoon on the beach!

Tucking into a plate of fried clams after a walk on the beach here was about as good as a summer day gets. Seems like they know how to take care of lots of folks. I didn’t make a reservation (probably should have), but they seated me and service was fast and friendly. Not a lot of options in the immediate area, so all the more reason to appreciate this place. I’ll be back!

We visited the town March and followed advice from their website to call for a reservation. We had a table available in about 30 minutes and found parking and entry to be easy. Staff was friendly and we had a great experience with Savannah, who explained the menu and specials ok top of taking great care of us. We opted for the fish sandwich, a cocktail from the specials, and the local ice cream sundaes that Savannah recommended (the farm is nearby). Everything was delicious! They have a loyalty program if you are more loc, and we loved the view of the beach from our table. Will definitely be back on our next visit!

Stopped by with a colleague for dinner. Place was busy with a 45min wait. Decided to go to the beach to enjoy some cool evening air. Ended up trying a crab appetizer and fish tacos. Not bad at all. Will need to come back to try other options on their menu. Service was good and nice view to the ocean.

Service was pretty good, they were getting ready to close, being Christmas Eve day. our server was very nice, The food was subpar especially for the price point. I asked if the pizza was good the server said it's excellent, it was not it was at best kind of like Cumberland farms pizza. I got scallops I think it was $32 for the plate and they were somewhat rubbery and the breading fell off very easily, we also got a lobster roll, the lobster meat was fairly tasteless and somewhat overcooked Tell me it was definitely rubbery, and the same for the calamari the rings were definitely overcooked and same as the scallops the breading came off very easily they're also very heavily breaded. And everything was served kind of cold I think maybe they were waiting for the pizza to finish cooking and they had already cooked the seafood entrees so pretty unimpressive showing, again the staff was very nice and they were trying to get out by 3:00 I think we got there at about 2:30.

Tides Nahant is a great choice for a casual beachfront meal. The views are fantastic, and the food is delicious. We used to go here a lot pre-pandemic and loved it, but it's been a while.I got the prime rib sliders with a side of fries, and he got fried clam plate. The food was good - not spectacular but not complicated either. The prices went up - 2 beers, 1 gingerale, the 2 meals (from above) with no dessert was almost $80. I think the clam plate was $29.99. We always play keno- the 1 thing I didn't like that is new- you have to be seated by a host EVEN if you sit at the bar- so we couldn't choose our seats. I was seated by this huge man that kept bumping me and reminded me of a viking, the way he ate. 2 bartenders there but it took a very long time to get noticed - then even longer to get order in. Idk...not a great experience like I remembered. It could've been just a busy day, but I wasn't impressed.Parking: There's a free parking lot that is shared with another business next door but usually you can squeeze in.Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is a great for kids

Came here with a gift card and enjoyed a casual mid-week lunch.Tides is both what I expected and in some ways what I wasn't expecting. It is a very classic American restaurant - with more seafood options. It has sports TVs, Keno, and a somewhat dated feeling to it. Our waitress seemed apathetic. Menu was also what I expected - boundless options of fried food, pizzas, and other classic American dishes.That all said, what I wasn't expecting was that there are parts of the menu that were a bit more "inspired" and off the normal path. I ordered the pizza special (Puttanesca pizza), and it was quite good! It had capers, kalamata olives, anchovies, and parmesan. We also ordered the fish tacos, with wasabi slaw, and that was also impressive. The wasabi really stood out, in a subtle way that really highlighted the flavor.Above all else, the view was great. It truly is in a wonderful location, and on a sunny summer day it provides this wonderful reprieve from the daily hustle. A chance to view the ocean and enjoy food/company.Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options Parking: Easy and right next to the restaurant. Can't be used for beach parking.

It's a good place with amazing view. We were there for lunch with a group of friends. We sat outside, and it was so hot and sunny. They don't have any umbrellas or anything to make shade. We survived. Stuff members were nice and friendly. The only thing we got 6 plates for appetizers and 2 were really dirty. I worked in restaurant myself and I know that dishwashers are not perfect, but the waiter should check what ends up in from of customer. Other than that everything was good. Food was delicious.

food was ok. Fried clams were great bc they were fresh local. The interior decor is pretty bad but the view of the ocean is great. Seemed like mainly older folk and families with young kids. Beer was very cold and they chilled the glasses, a definite plus for me. Portion sizes were also huge.

Food, service, and view always great here. The space has expanded over the years and is doing another remodel to add more covered seating. Fried seafood platter is a go to and can’t go wrong with the apps. I did have the steak and cheese once and thought it was ehh. They also provide a membership club it gives discounts, coupons, various deals, etc.
