Pet Supplies Plus in Milford heralds itself as a Dog Groomer which it wouldn't be if it were the last place on earth grooming dogs. Long ago, consumers the world over learned that the "Beyond” in Bed, Bath, & Beyond simply meant kitchen. Today, my family and I learned that the "Plus" in Pet Supplies Plus signifies nothing more than at best a Rob Roy Academy for animal haircuts and at worst a criminal enterprise of taking money for services which they are not qualified to perform. This place somehow manages to stop just short of overt animal abuse. The best thing I can say about them is that it's less malicious intent and more just gross incompetence and hubris. We took our one year old Mini Goldendoodle into this hell hole this morning. (Completely acknowledge our fault in taking him to place just because our typical groomers were backed up.) Our dog is a well cared for and maintained dog, he was last professionally groomed five weeks ago on the dot and typically goes every 4-5 weeks. We received a text from the person cosplaying as a professional dog groomer shortly after we dropped him off that she would need to go a tad short because he had some matting. We have never received that kind of communication before, but sure...a little short. I went into pick up our dog today and he was kept out back out of sight while this hack grifter made me listen to her explanation which was akin to a timeshare sales presentation about the dire shape he showed up in. She dramatically pontificated how matted he was and how he was being pinched and was in great discomfort but she came to the rescue and how I shouldn't "beat myself up over it" because it happens. I know when I am being sold. I have never seen gaslighting, reverse psychology and arrogance displayed at such an elite level. In a way I tip my hat to you madame. She was talking to me like this dog was rescued from months of neglect when in actuality he is bathed and groomed regularly. He had a beautiful, adorable coat. Finally, she unveiled our poor dog and all I could think is that I had perhaps been talking to Andy from Toy Story's neighbor all grown up because I can't imagine what sort of lunatic would shave a dog right down to the skin just because she is unskilled and unqualified at the profession. She sheared our family dog like he was a lamb off to be slaughtered! He looks mangey, sick, and sad. He looks like The Grinch’s dog Max contracted a terminal disease. Absolutely wild behavior. What is left of his fur is down right to the point where you can see bare skin in many spots, so it is uneven to boot. Edward Scissorhands' Aunt was also kind enough to carve up his tail so it looks like a blooming onion from Outback Steakhouse atop a shaved to the bone buttocks for no discernible reason other than that maybe her arts and crafts class was cancelled this week? Who can tell. His head is uneven and rather than groomed, it's like she haphazardly took a clipper to it as if he had just joined the Army and the bus to Basic Training was leaving any minute.I truly have never experienced anything like it, in any service of any kind before. She somehow seemed proud of her work? If the matting was as significant as she claimed, she should have just stopped and have us pick him up. It's just not in any way her call to make an executive decision to scalp an animal like that to the bone just because she wants to pretend she's a strip mall veterinarian for the day. Our dog, who she continuously referred to as a girl, looks like he was a part of a fraternity hazing ritual that has been outlawed on campuses for decades. Pet Supplies Plus is a place to get bird seed and maybe even a dog leash, they are wholly unqualified to take care of animals in any fashion. Nothing more than a Cumberland Farms for animals that is trying to run a back alley butcher shop in order to squeeze a few more dollars into the bottom line of the P&L. This place makes PetSmart seem like a spa/salon on Newbury St. I hope it suffers the same fate as Bradlees did, shuttered.

The online order and curbside pick up features make this one of the best pet stores around to shop at! Their customer service is definitely some of the best as well! When items are out of stock, the associates call you directly to discuss alternative options. I recommend pet supplies plus!

Pretty good for one of these. Nice young people who love animals. At least as good as any of the other big chain pet food stores. I like them best of the... sort of....."Big Three".... pet food chains around here. FWIW.

Sara in grooming is absolutely amazing!!! My husband and I bring our Siberian Husky Bandit for grooming and I couldn't be happier. Very clean, professional and pet friendly atmosphere. As a dog mom it's so important to know our dog is in good hands. If your looking for someone to treat your pup like their own ,while doing and amazing job Sara is your girl. She's extremely flexible with scheduling and when I tell you she knows what she's doing.. we love her!!!! 10/10

Super friendly employees! They were very helpful and nice. Logan was wonderful with my dog, Daisy, after I trimmed her nails myself (bad idea). She was gentle and took extra time to make my dog comfortable and got the rest of the nails trimmed without any problems. I really appreciate her. Their dog washing area was really nice, you can’t beat the price for using their towels and not having to clean your bathroom after.

wonderful store! They certainly have an abundant supply of products. Decent prices, great return policy {we have a very finicky new pup}, they offer a discount on some items, just for signing up for their free store card. I got $8.00 off a large bag of Redford food, plus they send coupons via email. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.

I highly recommend the grooming services at pet supplies plus. We have been bringing our seven year old Bernese Mountain dog there for grooming for several years now and every time, I am extremely happy with the quality of work and also the friendliness and kindness of the workers there!

Want to share with you this , I took my puppy to grooming at the pet supply plus in Milford by home goods as his first year birthday and was so excited wanted him to be more handsome than he is . The girl their name Hailey groomed him and shaved his rear end to the skin . Came home he started scooting, noticed she scraped his tail and butt close to his legs . He was in so much pain crying from his pain, looking into my eyes asking for help crying from pain . No vet or emergency accept to look at him as they all totally booked . Called the store , took him there to see his pain , girls were so rude and said they can’t do anything about it and I need to go to vet . Went to the police to report them , they said it’s a civil not crime they can’t do any and I have to go to court , after 5 days I took him to urgent care in Westbro said you need to see him he is in so much pain ..Guys please do not go to these butcher , no mercy , no hearts for our loved fur . . Rude people

Decent variety of products. I'd say for the clearance products, to lower those prices more- they don't really seem like a clearance deal. Especially for toys!Apparently, you can return food if you have picky dogs, like me!

Great selection, knowledgeable staff, reasonable pricing, plenty of close parking even with the new restaurant in the area. I drive from Worcester to take my pup here for her baths, very clean, plenty of towels and pup shampoo.Would have gotten more then a 4 star but the hose for spraying her down has had a leak (spraying at linkage) for a while and management seems to know about it and are not fixing it.

It’s not bad, very friendly staff but the worse part is the bath part when they only have 2 bath stations. The last time I was there I felt so pressured because there were a few people waiting they even made a line but seriously the company should find a way of expanding it or at least find a way where people can take a number or something or sign in let’s say on a device you have (like taking a number at the deli) as soon as the person inside is done they get notified by text or whatever just so that they don’t make you feel uncomfortable and rushed like they make me standing there, then they can come in if they wait in the car or from walking around and be next 😊 Other than that I love the deal also you guys have 5 for 25 hope it stays!

My wife and I went there for two items. We aren't pet owners. but are house sitting a dog. She lost her ID tag and needed to replace and also dental sticks. Cashier was very helpful helping us with dog tag. They have a machine that engraves one for you. Pick the design, put info in and it finishes it there for you. Very easy and convenient.

My dog is extremely well behaved and will sit through anything but his grooming took WAY longer than it should have and he came out with cuts all over him and the groomer cut his nails so short it hurt him to walk. I did call them out on it and they gave me some money back but I will never bring my dog to get groomed here again.

My first time there as a customer I was impressed. I had set up a new aquarium and after letting it run for 2 weeks I went there to purchase tropical fish.I purchased a total of seven fish.... In less than three days four out of the seven died . I had my receipt but I didn't have the dead fish. Nowhere on the receipt and nowhere in the store that a sales associate tell me if I lose any fish I need to bring the dead fish in to get a full refund or exchangeI called the store and explained what happened and the young girl who answered said to me no problem as long as you have your receipt. I also asked her if I bring a sample of my watering if they could test it to make sure nothing was wrong. Her exact words were all we don't do that here you should go to Petco.I waited one more day before I went because one more of the fish did not look like he was going to make it and he didn't and that's what brought the total to four dead out of seven.When I got to the store a manager from another store was covering. She told me they absolutely cannot refund my money or give me exchange fish without bringing the dead fish in. I explained to her I called the previous day and that's not what I was told. Plus as it turns out they do test aquarium water there.So here my problem with this store:1) totally untrained store associates who know nothing about what they're doing2) even though I did not have the actual dead fish because I was instructed that I didn't need them by a store associate that manager should have appeased me especially where I was a brand new customer to the store, but she did not3) the day that I went in there which was yesterday June 3rd, the manager that was covering the store did tell me that I need the dead fish but she did not tell me she would not refund my money or give me replacement fish until I left the store did some shopping at a store next door and came back...... She would not even consider the fact that it was a brand new customer and that I was told by a Pet Supplies store associate the previous day that I did not need the fish as long as I had the receipt which I did.So it is because of this that they lost a customer for life! I will never go back into that store and if anybody asked me my experience I'll tell him just like I stated here....apparently the Pet Supplies acting store manager doesn't see a problem with losing a potential customer for life and me switching to their competitor Petco.Therefore because I am totally unhappy and now out a total of $17.58 for the dead fish I would never recommend the store to anyone!

I've really enjoyed having this pet store in town. Small place but there's a great selection. This is the only store nearby where I can get my dog's food instead of ordering on Amazon. The staff are friendly and seem happy to chat with you about your pets and make recommendations. Great place!

Decent selection of products. Some staff have more knowledge then others on certain animals and products available in the store. Love the self serve dog wash. Wish there were a few more options in regards to small animal supplies but overall great location.

I love the staff. Always helpful, even carried catlittler to my car for me. But the grooming salon is a problem. You walk by and hair comes flying at you. Even when they aren’t drying a dog. The open space makes me nervous my dog would escape. I could never use their facility. Not only does it look unsafe, but the hair blowing all over can’t be health for those walking by.
