We went to one near Marion, MA and we loved it. We found the one in Maynard and went to check it put. Still awesome. The best value for me was the large banana split. Three large scoops with everything on it. Two spoons to share! I took a picture of the banana split so you could see how magnificent it was!

Erickson's is a staple if you visit Maynard in the summer time. I don't live there now but i grew up in Maynard and I only get to go to Erikson's once or twice during the summer now. My go-to is there cotton candy ice cream and a pint for $13 you can't go wrong with homemade ice cream. I've never been able to find a place that can get the greatest cotton candy flavor in an ice cream as Erickson's does. Recently I went and I got their banana ice cream with a strawberry topping and by no surprise it was phenomenal. I also got a sample of their apple cinnamon ice cream which will be my next purchase before they close for the season. And they have like 10 windows so even if there's a lot of people there you don't have to wait long at all. The staff is super friendly and helpful it's definitely a great place for a first job. Great place so if you're in the area make sure you try it out.

Great ice cream spot, families coming in and out, not a huge seating area if they get busy but it’s a nice setup with the lights! The building next door is where the magic happens and they make their own ice cream! Tons of options and different ways to enjoy your ice cream so pick a flavor and a way to eat it and enjoy!

I had always heard of Ericson's ice cream and today we decided to try it.BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Bought two child size cups for $11.50. If there were a total of two scoops, it would surprise me.The ice cream was okay, but mocha almond had a few minuscule bits of the nut. We love our ice cream and feel fortunate that every town in this area, if not all over Massachusetts has an ice cream stand. This one we will not visit again.Oversubscribed, overrated and not very good. All I can say to those who rate this stand 4 or 5 stars; you need to try somewhere else!

Great ice cream with generous portions. A little pricey but it’s worth it. Plenty of seating and space for you to enjoy your dessert. Recommend.

This place brought back so many fond memories for me.This place is frozen in time, the parking lot is still bumpy, the staff served the best ice cream with a big smile.This was a great time to kick back and enjoy ice cream and the other visitors.Great job guys👍😊

Try the frozen yogurt with a different consistency than the ice cream and I liked it better than the ice cream. Nice spot for an ice cream

The vegan chocolate was lumpy, freezer burned, and piled so precariously on the cone that it was impossible to eat without knocking it to the ground. Photo is after it melted and dripped all over the place on my walk home, but you can still see the ice chunks.

Good selection, lots of windows open, friendly staff, patient with kids ordering, big servings, ice cream was greatA few outside tables behind the building with umbrellasLarge dirt parking lot for families coming in and out. A few people brought folding chairs to tailgate for lunchtime ice cream

Great ice cream for a reasonable price. The staff is consistently friendly. A small size is enough ice cream for most people. The mocha chip is my favorite mocha chip in the area.Be ready to stand in line though. Erikson's often has most of it's windows open, but it's a popular location so each window has a line of 5-6 people deep. Maybe it's my bad luck, but I sometimes get stuck behind one person ordering icecream for what seems like a bus load of starving children. The wait is worth it though.

I can honestly say that Erikson’s ice cream is the best ice cream I’ve had in my entire 36 years of life. My girlfriend and I live in Boston and stumbled onto this place accidentally when visits our friends community garden in Stow. Now we visit regularly and will sometimes drive all the way out from Boston just for the ice cream.Every flavor we’ve tried is PERFECTION!

Good ice cream and great location with outdoor seating. Can enjoy the nature and woods when visiting. Regular flavors like any other ice cream shop but little bit on the expensive side. I got strawberry sundae with strawberry sauce and specifically asked for walnuts but they ignored. Staff seems little bit in rush while ordering. Other than their history, didn’t find anything exceptional. Good quality ice cream like many other summer ice cream places in the area.

I love this place! Portions are decent, ice cream is great and the ppl working there seem genuinely happy. They have a nice picnic area out back to enjoy a cone and plenty of parking. I have been there at least once a year for most of my 50 years and I intend to make a pilgrimage for 50 more! Bring a cash tip as their stupid Apple tablets don't allow you to tip electronically

Classic ice cream stand. Great selection of flavors. Vegan options taste really really good. I am boring and get vanilla with chocolate dipped waffle cone!!! Yum!

This ice cream shop seems to always be busy. They have tons of ice cream varieties and seem to be pet friendly. There are a good amount of places to sit and eat your ice cream. The parking lot is large enough that you do not have to fight over spots.

Very good ice cream stand and a summer month staple if you live in this area. I've been coming here for >40 years. Plenty of flavors to choose from, but not as long a list as some other places. My pro pick is the Mint Chip...superior to nearly all other versions I've tried...and they have pre-packed 1/2 gallons to boot. Prices have gone up in recent years, but we all know why. Not Erikson's fault. Worth the drive, but can be busy on warm weekend evenings.

The ice cream here is pretty good. I got a hot fudge sundae. But the customer service was excellent, which masked all the difference. Prices are reasonable. Lots of outdoor seating - whether you want a sunny spot or shady spot (there are more chairs and tables in the back under some trees in a very quiet neighborhood. Would recommend.

This is a sweet spot! Really good ice cream, friendly staff, and a lovely wooded setting in the back with a few tables and umbrellas to sit and relax. It can get really busy at peak hours, but the lines move pretty fast. This place is a landmark in Maynard with a cool history and definitely worth a trip. 👍🍨🍦😋

Soft Serve was very rich & creamy. It's hard to find good soft serve ice cream. I'll definitely be going back.
