Be aware - go elsewhere. I should have read the other reviews. After my third visit to pick up the prescription - my son has gone an entire week without his new script and their advice was to call back the doctor and have them transfer the script to Concord. That advice would have been helpful the first time I came to pick it up! Maddening!

No wonder they have such low rating and specially related to the pharmacy..I was checked in BEFORE 4pm for my 4 O’clock appointment to get two vaccines.I was told to wait, sat down for 20 plus minutes because Alice forgot she checked me in.I get it, it’s busy and I know how it is. But the KIND thing to do is to apologize for the delay. The vaccines took approximately 2 mins of her time. She could have stopped what she was doing for 2mins and helped me out. Just like she had things to get done, so did I.Please be more considerate. That might help you with the bad reviews.

Don’t go here for any medications that you need urgently or semi-urgently. Or within the next week. Or within the next millennium.There’s certain prescriptions of mine that they’ve literally just never filled. Like as in they agreed to fill it and just… forgot I guess?Just tonight, I got there a few minutes before closing because I had to work late- and they just ignored me standing there until after closing time and then said they couldn’t see me because they were closed.I’ve tried to be patient with y’all but come on man, hire some more staff or something 🤧

Unresponsive and indolent pharmacy. I have never once arrived and had a prescription ready for pick up, even days after they received it. I’m always told it’s still being processed, almost like they had no intention to fill it until I arrived and asked for it. Unfortunately that takes 30 minutes and I’m forced to wait around with all the other customers seemly dealing with the same issue. Have repeatedly tried calling ahead but have never once gotten through to the pharmacy. In my many times waiting for my prescription to be filled I have listened to the phone ring and ring never to be touched. But the worst part is how uncaring and unsympathetic the staff and pharmacists have been. Like my unhappy toddler with an ear infection and I are somehow a burden to them when I ask if we can please get the antibiotics that should have been ready hours ago. Shameful.

Avoid the pharmacy, the pharmacist is very rude and had no idea about the prescription. I went there to get my kids prescription, they gave me the wrong prescription for one of my kids.Better to go somewhere else to get your child prescription.

Despite the more than a dozen attempts over the last few months, I have yet to have a phone call to the pharmacy actually answered. It doesn't matter what day of the week or time of day it is - they simply don't answer. Instead, I hear recordings urging me to download and use the CVS app. However, the app is not set up to address the questions I've had. Frustrating and likely will lead me to change to another (non-CVS) pharmacy.

I rushed here from urgent care with a child in pain with an infection trying to get her prescription filled before bedtime. I arrived at 7:58 pm and was told that they were closed (even though the official closing time was 8:00 pm). The pharmacy staff was completely insensitive to our situation and refused to fill the prescription. They claimed that their “computers shut down at 8pm” which was clearly nonsense. They just didn’t care. The lack of compassion and poor patient experience for my daughter were unbelievable. I will definitely not be coming back to the pharmacy here and would encourage others, especially parents, to stay away!

They refuse to answer the phones. Literally.I have had times when I needed to speak to a pharmacist and waited hours. When I felt better and drove over, I asked why they did not answer the phone, and they admitted that they don't want to take phone calls. The staff is nice -- this is either a staffing issue or a rule. They need to understand that they are part of patient care and that sometimes patients need to speak to someone. A patient may be too sick to drive over, etc. Hire someone to answer the phones.

I've been going to this CVS for the last several years. This is the pharmacy where my family gets most our prescriptions. Is it perfect? No, not always, but today I had a very positive experience, and after reading a bunch of lousy reviews, I figured I'd chime in. Admittedly, it's hard to reach someone live when you call the store, and need to speak with someone in the pharmacy. However, name me a CVS or Walgreens where that isn't the case. Today, I had to pick up a couple of things for my wife, and had a few questions for the pharmacist, so skipped the drive thru, and went into the store. I know Jill well, and she's always fantastic, but today I spoke with Kevin. Bottom line, he was fantastic. Something I was hoping to fill today had been out of stock. Kevin went out of his way to look for it, realized it had been delivered this morning, and told me they could fill it after processing the orders, and it'd be ready in a few hours. Well, less than an hour later I received a text alerting me that it was ready for pickup. A+ customer service in my book. Thank you, Kevin and Jill, for all of your efforts. CVS in Maynard will continue to get my family's business.

Stay away from this store!! (Maynard CVS) I have a prescription that I get here every month, have for years, and they manage to screw it up at least half the time. And if you try to call them they just don’t answer the phone - they even admit they don’t answer the phone! I’ve been on hold for over 25 minutes several times in the last 3 days. This happens almost every month. They just don’t bother answering. If you call 1-800-SHOPCVS you’ll get customer service and they’ll maybe call for you. But the pharmacists are rude! They need to hire more (and better?) people and pay them better - must be hell to work there. I’m looking for a different pharmacy…

I've been picking up my prescriptions here for a while and although some days are busier than others - generally I have had a good experience. Once one of the pharmacists told me that I couldn't pay for additional items from the store at the prescription checkout which seems silly considering it is usually 5 items or less but they have corrected this and there seem to be some really nice folk's working there these days.

Floor pharmacist Brandon is failing to pay attention to fine details like doctor notes on prescription . I was also fed /lied to incorrect information by the floor supervisor Brandon about how they didn’t have any of my prescription in stock and was currently on back order -as I do believe they are having supply chain issues I proceeded to ask the nice women to check and put in my order to the supplier She relayed to me she has 20/30 of my count in stock and could possibly receive the rest Monday. I’m disappointed by the lack of leadership these new hires have . I was told I have to wait 1.5 hours for them to fix their mistake and refill a new bottle - I did wait 1.5 hours and more am very dissatisfied. Felipe was helpful on a good note.

Zero star for this pharmacy:Never pick up phone call and lie. The first time this issue occurred with myself: I waited on the phone for 30 minutes with no response, then I went to the store -- fortunately, they offered to fill my prescription "now". The second time this issue occurred with another CVS store -- Maynard CVS filled partial of my prescription, another CVS store has more in stock, so they called Maynard CVS to transfer my prescription, but nobody picked the phone; so at another CVS store's advice, I went back to Maynard CVS to ask them transfer the prescription, they first lied that nobody called, then refused to transfer my prescription for the reason that they are "too busy"!

The most unprofessional, incompetent staff I have EVER SEEN! they gave my prescription to someone else and couldn't tell me who... Then just told me to call my insurance company as if they were going to pay for it again when this wasn't their mistake, but cvs'. They did NOTHING! Some medications cannot be just stopped! People could get sick or even die....they literally have zero eff's to give. They don't care. They lie lie lie. Ive wayhen them finally get to the customer at 8:03 when they are closed but that person was in line waiting to be acknowledged since 7:55....tgwn scream at him because the guy was screaming and crying and begged them because he'd have to go to the ER... They did not care and threatened him. The manager has hung up on my after I waited 40 min on hold because I had a clearly upset tone towards him. I'm in awe they are even allowed to run a business that way. After the 7th time of them not filling my meds as they said they would, I finally switch to a different pharmacy. I hope this place gets a new Manger or shut down!

Pharmacist and pharmacy staff are not only Rude but very incompetent. I tried to clear up my insurance 3x.Manager: I will help you- BUT YOU WILL BE NICE TO ME.: how is that for service? After being on hold for 30+ minutes and hung-up on once. I told him how rude they were and that I would be following up with corporate. He also added I can take my Rx somewhere else. I will be writing a formal complaint.

Bring Jill back! The new pharmacy manager is a horror. Absolutely no customer service skills. Answers every question with a question, delivered in a rude and challenging manner. Escalates every expressed concern into a noisy conflict. No one answers the phone, so it's impossible to get simple things resolved in a simple or timely manner, and to avoid dealing with poor quality or hostile personnel at the Maynard location. If I could leave ZERO or NEGATIVE stars I would -- it's THAT bad.

Visiting family in Maynard, MA. Attempted several times to reach pharmacy but NO ANSWER. My CVS is located at 1688 First Colonial RD, Virginia Beach, VA location gives terrific service. The Maynard location must be revamped! I had great telephone service from your Providence Mall location on Sunday. Earlier I did reach an employee at the front counter that extremely helpful but reaching the pharmacy was a nightmare. When my call was finally answered I was told he was only person working and he had an attitude.Also recommend CVS redo the annoying caller options on your recorded initial answering system.

I have been using the CVS in Maynard for years, and have always felt well served. I am especially thankful that, Jill, in the pharmacy, has always been more than helpful in offering advice on medication that has been prescribed to either myself or to my husband , and what side effects to watch for. In addition, advice and questions answered on over the counter medications are always answered/offered.To the reviewers who have complained of the store being short staffed and having to wait in long lines - this phenomenon is happening in every single store in our area - the news has been reporting on this fact for many weeks. Yes, we all have to wait , but this is no fault of the store employees. Yes, often the front cashiers are busy stocking shelves. It would be a problem if I was waiting because employees were on their phones, chatting with friends or just did not care. Many restaurants have signs that state, “ we are understaffed, please be patient with our staff that are here”. I feel that the same needs to be applied to those who choose to complain.

I have never seen a CVS pharmacy this poorly run. It often nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone. I recently watched the pharmacist berating his support staff for no apparent reason (maybe he was having a bad day). They recently cancelled my son's controlled substance prescription (on accident) and then told me I would need to call his prescriber to fix the problem (same pharmacist as the one yelling at his support team). When I told the pharmacy tech that I would call in to make sure the script was filled she responded with "yeah, if you can get anyone to answer." Well, now I've been on hold for over 40 minutes just to check a prescription status. This is just an example of the numerous ways this particular location has messed up my prescriptions and had abysmal customer service. I'm DONE with this pharmacy! I'm transferring all of my prescriptions to Walgreens.

Pharmacy is so very slow and I've been on hold for 50 minutes, using both cell and home phone same time, trying to renew prescription for my elderly Father, this is meds he needs to stay alive and help him. Totally ridiculous that someone has to wait on phone now 53 minutes to get assistance. Customer Service sux at this store I recommend finding a different provider, still waiting 55 minutes now, don't want to hang up and lose my space, I need to get Father his meds please CVS = Customers Value Sucks...still waiting 58 minutes, unbelievable!!!!!Still on hold 84 minutes, really CVS?Well 93 minutes they pu phone and hang up, nothing said....CVS??? What's up with that management? Corporate call 📞 and you loose the generous 1 star I gave 😡

This is the worst service I've ever had and the sad thing is when you're sick you need pharmacist supportwhen I called they hung up twice and the third time they put me on hold because they said the phone call was muffled in addition they refused to transfer my prescription in a timely manner during an emergency. Shameful their behavior is disgraceful

The Maynard CVS now has zero registers open. Three people stocking. One self checkout they're apparently forcing us to use. I've been in there twice since they've gotten the self check out and both times customers had to wait for help. The lines were ridiculous. Customers should not be expected to work at the store they shop at for free.

I hate to say it, but for a while there, I was considering changing pharmacies, because I often found the service to be rude and dismissive. However, the ship has been righted. Jill's the consummate professional and is always a pleasure to deal with, and Vicki (who I just met the other day) provided A+ customer service. They were really, really, busy, and she had the entire team calm, cool and collected. Keep up the great work! Chris

Not sure what is going on at this store lately. The usual pharmacy staff aren’t there. I called several times due to attempts to get my prescriptions filled. I stayed on hold for more than 45 minutes with no answer. I attempted to call the store and got no help. It took me going to urgent care to finally get my prescriptions filled. The staff at urgent care called the pharmacy on my behalf. Currently looking for another pharmacy

New to town and every visit to CVS Maynard has been awful. Ordered refills twice online days before picking up and was told they were not filled. Had to drop off prescriptions after being discharged from the hospital and was told they were too busy to fill them and I have to wait until the next day. If you need an emergency prescription filled don't bother going here's. The woman working in the pharmacy was very rude and blamed me for coming an hour before they close and that they are too busy to fill my medications. The customer service in the front of store is just as horrendous. Time to switch to RiteAid.

Chronically put on hold for up to and over 40 minutes only to go into store to pick up my elderly parent’s prescrition and be told it won’t be ready til end of day. Explained I do not live in area…no help. Ugh! I feel bad for the pharmacy team as CVS is not meeting their needs with enough staff.

Been here twice for medications and each time I've spent over half an hour waiting for what should be a fairly quick transaction. They have one person on register who cannot handle the volume of people and doesn't listen to customers when they try to assist. The other staff only occasionally jumps in to help. Just awful customer service. I've already transferred my prescription to the Osco Pharmacy in Stow, because this is just ridiculous.

Pharmacy staff is helpful, particularly Barbara and Jill. But this is the worst managed CVS store I have ever experienced. It's disgraceful. I have driven to Acton just to NOT have to shop here, and I can walk to this store. :-( Store is never well stocked. Magazines in the pharmacy area are always months out of date! Cough medicines on the shelf, 2 bottles and both past expiration. Very frustrating. Regional manager should make note and do something about this.

I’ve had both good and bad experiences at this store over the last 20 years, but they’ve overwhelmingly been good! The staff who have been working the front a long time are excellent! Their management though seems to change quite often. As for the pharmacy, Jill is my all time favorite pharmacist and has helped me countless times identify and address issues related to my own and my families medications and insurance issues. She had recently brought to attention the fact that a newly prescribed antibiotic was not a good choice for me while on another med and urged the Drs to change it ~ and when they repeated this error with a similar antibiotic (!!!), she diligently called both myself and the Drs office and did it all over agian on a day when I knew she was extremely busy! The med had no ‘official’ interaction warning with mine, but once I delved a bit deeper researching it I realized she was way ahead of the curve. It was a pretty obscure thing to know actually and could have been a life threatening problem for me. I cannot tell you how appreciative I am of her vast knowlende and incredible competence. Maynard’s CVS May not be perfect but I’ll be a loyal customer for as long as I live here!

Cannot say enough good things about the Pharmacy staff. They have gone far out of their way multiple times to ensure my wife and I have gotten the right prescription when we need it. Going the extra mile doesn't even begin to describe it. They and the group in Acton are the best CVS's I've ever been to.
