I didn’t have the famous hot dog I had pasta and pizza, fried dough garlic bread. The pasta with cheese and sauce was amazing and filling a lot of pasta and not cheap with the cheese. Pizza a 3 out of 4 I just got 2 slices not a box so Mybe a box different slices where big. Wife loved the fried dough the slice it into strips a lot of fried dough kids also loved again not cheap with the toppings. I seen milk shakes and a lot of other stuff there i always thought just a hotdog place but they had a lot. I will say call and order ahead this place is busy and you will wait a while if you don’t order ahead. Was cash only when I went there tonight so carry cash I don’t know if it’s like that always but be prepared.

I’ve lived in Boston all my life so of course I know about Simco’s. Usually I would order seafood when and if I ordered from Simco’s. Sometimes the menu would be slightly different in Roslindale oppose to Mattapan so I would order from the Roslindale location. My FAV sub or salad hands down is GRILL CHIX but I felt my number one spots have closed or the chef left. So yes I’m very picky when it comes to grill chix. I started ordering grill chix probably in 2023 from Simco’s for the 1st time. Just the salad at first. Then I tried the sub which was good but I wasn’t ordering every day or week like I did from my previous FAV ‘s. However since I haven’t ordered a sub for awhile from there I decided to last night 2/17/24. Well actually 2/18 since it was after midnight. OMG it was soooooooooo good. I tasted the grill. It is grill chix so it’s only right but you don’t always taste the grill as you should when it’s GRILL CHIX. Restaurants like to marinate their chix which is fine but you should also be able to taste that grill effect. Some places have grill chix but it’s roasted not grilled. To me that’s NOT grill chix. It’s roasted chix. I always like to make sure what I requested on the sub is visible like my Mayo n cheese n onions. The sub was so bomb I couldn’t stop eating to check. Nice and packed with beautiful fresh shredded lettuce. So I called Simco’s a few minutes ago to give the feedback and to ask if the same chef is there all the time or just in the evenings etc? I need that exact sub AGAIN!!!! I should’ve gotten his name. Lol but they will be there after 6pm. Lol

i loveee Simco’s. The people here always nice, no one is ever rude to me personally. The woman may come off “mean”, but to me she is so nice idk… the fried chicken wings are my FAVORITE and the red velvet cake!! Before I stopped eating pork , the hot dogs were my favorite omg!! The Raspberry Lime Rickey & fried dough are my favs too but I only drink that to treat myself lol… Doordash is so expensive I’d say go to the actual place if you don’t want to spend too much money

Carry out only and cash only. We tried the fish & chips and the chicken kabob on a pita. All of the food was amazing. I don't like coleslaw but I liked their coleslaw. Not soggy and full of mayo, their coleslaw was the perfect texture with a good vinegar mix. They are not cheap, but they give you a huge amount of food. Will definitely return and try something else.

This plate was so simple but REALLY DELICIOUS! I didn’t want pasta, or pizza, or a sub today. I asked for Grilled Chicken, Broccoli, & rice. You guys, this is delicious. You can taste the char from the grill on the chicken, soo so good!

Been going to Simcos forever and have a good relationship with some of the old workers but as of today will never go back. They are over charging I know this because I order the same thing all the time. 1 large ice cream 1 small ice cream and a lime Rickey 27.00.. very disappointed

I went to Simcos the other day and that's when I remembered why I stopped giving then my money. The food was way over priced and looked and tasted horrible to me. The food was dry and overcooked. The service was horrible as well. I would not recommend anyone wasting their money at this establishment. The Simcos sign says it all. There making all that money for so many years and can't even redo their sign.

I refuse to believe this place has 4 stars on reviews. Someone is paying for this rating to be pumped up. This place is terrible. Super expensive for no reason and just trash food. $12 for a regular sundae. Who does that? Don’t even get me started on the tasteless pizza, overly battered bland shrimps. All ridiculously priced for no reason at all. Some things are worth the price and this isn’t it. Pure greed and ppl give them their money for mediocre food. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎Save your money! Stop giving your money to establishments that don’t care about the quality they deliver to you as a customer. Prices keep getting high, quality keeps going down.

Should have stuck with my first instinct and kept Mt $$ in my pocket, but I thought I try them for the 1st time. Well I have been made a believer. Ain't nothing like Simco's from back in the day. And, I should have known better when I look at their menu. You know the old saying,"Jack of aAll Trades"? Well this Simco's is a "Master of None". Their menu has everything but the kitchen sink.The fish or the batter has NO seasoning and then they have the nerve not to give you a whole piece of Haddock for $21.95, I believe I should have the whole fish. Instead the fish is broken or chopped up pieces. You can clearly tell the fish is store bought frozen fish. Well, once again I've learned ain't nothing like home. Home cooked food from home. You may have the name, but you sure ain't THE REAL SIMCO'S.Unsatisfied customer
