I met the owner a week or so ago with a treasured afghan my deceased mother had made 20 years ago. My daughter’s new puppy found it and chewed a hole in the middle. It was a very complicated afghan with many types of stitches. She miraculously matched the yarn, determined the stitch to match, and meticulously repaired the Afghan to its former glory. Took her less than a week. Amazing! I will be eternally grateful.

Don't walk in if you're a person of color. As soon as I walked in, I was interrogated of what I was looking for. Very kindly, I stated that I'm from out of town and just wanted to visit her shop. After about 90 seconds, again, "what are you looking for?" Again, "I'm looking for now." I see a yarn that I've been looking for and ask the price. She turns away from me and goes back to the credit card machine. I wait a few minutes to let her finish. Still, no answer. I put the yarn back on the shelf, turn to her to see if she will answer and does not. I walked out. This is disappointing after the extremely positive experiences we've had in the Cape over the weekend. My daughter (15) just said, "There's always one."

Beautiful selection of quality yarn. Always a fun visit to a very knowledgeable and talented owner. You may have to dig through the voluminous stock, but you won't be disappointed.

First time visiting this store today. The owner was kind enough to allow me to purchase a shawl pin , that had been on display, fastening a sample sweater. I was most grateful as the pin was not in stock...amazing amount of yarn- jam packed! I will visit again.

Met nice owner & her dog. I only went in for a size G crochet hook, but came out with the hook, plus 7 balls of gorgeous yarn so I could knit a duplicate of a sample she had displayed. Very happy!

***Update - thank you for the prompt reply addressing my concerns. I have increased my rating to three stars and look forward to the next time I am in the area to visit again.***Original posting intact:I feel like there should be a warning on the door. Zero help, zero interest in helping once attention was pulled away from the book, and the prices are through the roof. Could have been three stars if the price is were low enough to to offset the disheveled stock and apathetic staff.

Trying to bash a child? You really are a piece of work. You can twist it any way that you want to. I was in your store for several minutes. You heard me ask the question of the cost because you were looking right at me and YOU TURNED AWAY FROM ME. You do not serve anyone who walks into your store. I waited several minutes to allow you time to finish your task. You did not state that you would be with me, nor did you look back at me when you turned away from the credit card machine towards my direction by the door. Another review spoke on your disposition. I think you need to take heed. Thank you for responding and proving my point.

The poor woman who owns this store is overwhelmed. She must be close to 90. Seriously swamped in inventory, 5% of which is organized. Bad disposition to boot. So sad. Not sure how she makes ends meet.
