Stop N Shop has little ambiance but it is integral to this part of the world, therefore, it has a " place in my heart". Less expensive than Shaw's, but expensive. Nice commitment to Market Basket. Nature's Promise products are important to the appeal.

Stop & Shop should be ashamed of themselves.Charging hard-working families what they do is an absolute crime. Going to Market Basket was such an eye-opening experience. Getting significantly more groceries same exact brands for a significant lower cost just showed me how much price gouging Stop & Shop is performing on its loyal customers. At the end of the experience, I had a smiling employee bag my groceries with no bag fee and thank me for my business. Stop & Shop employees are like the walking dead, hiring anyone with a pulse.Lower your prices or lose more customers.

Today(Friday afternoon Feb. 9th) I went to a self checkout to pay for two Valentines balloons. One of them refused to scan(item not found) so I went to a regular checkout and waited. The cashier was likewise unable to ring up the second balloon so he called for help. A fellow with a bunch of keys came over but could not resolve the issue. He walked away to get Another balloon like mine; again, the system could not identify this one either.This keys guy walked over with No sense of urgency to a lady in the flower section, I watched from afar as they had a Lengthy conversation. All this time, of course, customers are waiting in my line. Finally, the keys fellow and lady stroll casually back to my register, she looks at my ballon and calls out a price from memory. We ring it up and I’m finally able to leave.I can’t imagine what all this cost Stop and Shop but no doubt it greatly exceeded the value of the balloon. Doesn’t this place have a fallback process to eliminate holdups especially for trivial purchases like this? And what about the inconvenience to the customers?

The pharmacy is friendly, they have decent coupons to help out with the grocery bill. So far if you're on medicare, their pharmacy seems to have the best prices.

The manager would not allow his employees to give me a small bag for my items. He said either pay for a big bag or don’t give me a bag at all. It cost him more than 10 cents in the long run… dummy!!! I will give my money to shaws or market basket in the future…. They are already over charging for products and having customers do the work themselves in checkout and now they are charging for horrible bags… let’s all start shopping at other retailers…. Not sure how many people know that s&s buys land so they don’t have competition in their area

I was there today and had the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a grocery store. They had one human person on one of the registers with the line down the food aisle, and then they had six registers all self check out. Every single one of those registers had seven to eight people in line with considerable amount of items in their carriages. These were not quick 10 item purchases. Myself, as well as several other people had $100 and more worth of groceries in our carts. So as I try to scan all of these items carefully as to not disturb the annoying sensitive scanner, I go a tad too fast and it alerts an employee, as if you are trying to steal something. Those scanners are way too sensitive and I know the employees must hate working self checkout. The scanner is so finicky, that it makes you scan an item and then wait three seconds, and then scan the next item. Then wait three seconds, and then scan the next item and so on. That is the only way you can do it, and get all of your items on the scale without the register shutting down and alerting an employee to come over.It was absolute chaos in there tonight and I will never go back. I know I’m one person and my one experience probably means nothing to you but I had to come in here and leave a review to let you know how awful of an idea it is, to have that many self checkout registers. It was a very high anxiety 30 mins for me and I will never come back.I know you will respond with the typical generics message that says…”we're sorry you didn't have a great experience at our store. We value our customers and try to provide the best products at great values.”I don’t even want to hear it because you don’t care. If you cared, you would think about your customers and try to do anything to not inconvenience them. Maybe management could have hopped on a register if they were short staffed?! But no, six registers of self check out.You guys really need to figure it out.

I would rate it higher but the service I have received by the pharmacy has gone down to the point I won't use them anymore. The grocery store is fine and the people are very helpful..

The store is always clean. New self-scanners also are much more efficient and make shopping easier. Both entrances are open again for use as one was closed during the height of the pandemic. The store has just been completely renovated. It is beautiful. The store accepts Google and Apple pay and has 10 self checkout registers.

Zero desire to help… rude and unacceptable…TODAY OCTOBER 19th 2023 a young white woman with long blondish wavy hair who works at the stop and shop in Mashpee was extremely rude with me regarding my dollar being stuck in the lottery machine.She was behaving like i did not put my dollar in and basically i am lying to her….and more she obviously did not want to be at work pls take a day off if in this mood….i told her to not be so rude with the customers she walked away and did not even respond.. rude rudeI hope that management speak with her about the way she treats valued customers who spend > than thousand a month to shop there

Good selection. Decent gluten free section. You he to weigh and make bar code sticker for produce. Self check is really annoying because if you lift or move something after you bag it the register freaks out and locks up until an employee resets it.

Purchased a bag of flour less than 2 weeks ago. Was stored unopened in a ziplock bag. Went to use it yesterday and there was worms all within the new bag of flour. Disgusting.

Gentleman working the self checkout made my day by asking how I'm feeling...it's people like him who deserve a raise in these times when everyone is struggling to get by on just the bare minimums. I do have to say that the produce is disgusting....always have to throw it away due to it being moldy...$ eating healthy shouldn't be expensive and maybe you should keep a better eye on the cooling storage! Also maybe workers in the produce and deli not be so rude when you ask for help...if they can't be hospitable then find another job!! Thank you

Worst experience at a Stop & Shop. The cashier was possibly the most miserable person I've ever met. He clearly did not want to be there and moved painfully slow. The girl that bagged the groceries was almost worse. She had absolutely no idea how to load a cart. I watched her pick up a bag of groceries and put it back down again five times before finally deciding it was too heavy, removed something, and placed it in another bag. I'm not exaggerating when I say I think it took 10 minutes just to check out.

Prices are continuously going up. I used to be a regular customer but can no longer afford to shop there. Seems we're paying for store upgrade. Very few cash registers with cashiers......you get to check yourself out and bring your own bags ....or buy a bag. Just awful!

Very poor experience on 8/2 @ Mashpee Stop n Shop. All of us shoppers got stuck having to use SELF CHECKOUT! You know how many items $200.00 worth of groceries are? They should have at least bagged for us to help us out. Poor management! Itridiculous

*2023 update: prices are through the roof, and there's one staffed register open on a Sunday afternoon. Store is spending who knows how much to remodel and move everything around the store (which no one wanted) and have 4 people in grocery pick up, but can't pay attention to the people in the store. Unbelievable how poor the customer experience is now. Took me 35 minutes to check out, having to check myself out with all the people waiting. I will not be back.* Previous Review: A decent stop and shop. Consistent staff present and friendly. There could be more variety and adjustment to ensure more culturally relevant foods here (as compared to the Hyannis location.) Prices can be a bit higher than other locations.

They did a horrible job with the substitutions of my online order! Seriously, some of these didn't make sense in the slightest. Like changing my vegan meat substitutes for REAL meat? I'm vegetarian, how am I supposed to use that?!Same with giving us full pulp orange juice when asked for no pulp, or hotdog buns when asked for hamburger buns. Either their stock or their employees need some serious improvement.The store itself was in good condition and the cashier attendants were very nice. A good variety in store.Worth it to go and shop for yourself but DO NOT order online!

The Mashpee store is my least favorite Stop and Shop on The Cape - and my closest one by 20+ minutes, thus my primary store. I am a scanner user, pack my own bags as I go shopper. Whoever purchased the “new” shopping carts last year (I repeatedly registered in person dismay to service), is either intentionally trying to put off shoppers like me or didn’t ask enough questions about what features were important. The new carts do not have scanner holders, making it exponentially more difficult to use them as they must be put down throughout the shopping process sliding into bags or getting lodged between the seat back. If you want shoppers to use the scanners make it easy to do so - if you don’t want us to use the scanners - take them away and I will use your checkout staff. I will also start using plastic bags for vegetables, which would regrettably be necessary again.

As with every store, there are more closed registers than open ones. But the staff is friendly and the shelves are continually filled. Stop & Shop brand is affordable and quality items. The store is clean. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

I've always enjoyed going to this stop and shop but my last two trips I've been disappointed 😞 Last night I went there and got to the Deli at 7:58pm. Alright...I get it that the Deli closes at 8 on Sunday. So tonight I raced from work to get lunch meat and got there at 8:43 as they close at 9pm. They had already broken down everything and would not serve me. I get it that they want to get out of work but they make hours for a reason. Anyways I'll try stop and shop in Cotuit, going forward otherwise go elsewhere.

Decent store just needs more unhealthy food. Like ice cream flavors. Y’all need at least 2400 different flavors to stay relevant. Also if there was more working item scanners that’d be dope. Also the flies in the bathrooms were weird

It's okay, small but has mostly the things I need. I'm not a lover of this store. They charge more than other stop & shops too. Probably since being on the island part verse inland. This stop and shop has progressively gotten worse and worse throughout the pandemic but today’s experience really topped it all off. I placed an online order for pickup last night and went to pick it up today and after no one came out with the order for 15 minutes I called inside. They said they had tried to call me but “had the wrong number” yet had been texting me order updates throughout the day. They said my order was running late and that it may not even be ready today for pick-up. They said the store “now closes at 9 and the store didn’t even tell employees the store was now closing early fromnow on.” I felt for the nice employee on the phone as I know this is not her fault but rather a management issue. Either way, it is unacceptable. The store continues to not have items in stock, for example, the entire gatorade section was empty today when i went inside. I can’t rely on this store to have any of the products I need and from now on will shop at other locations. Absolutely awful.As a follow up, we were able to get the food (well, some of it as I am missing a whole bag of food). A different person called me and said “Hi, are you still outside? Your food is ready, and we close in 10 minutes so if you could get here before then.” (As if this was my fault). Once I got there to pick up the food the guy DROPPED the food next to the car and walked off without an invoice or to let me know of any substitutions. Are you kidding?

Prices have been steadily going up in all areas and continue to do so. I shop at Market Basket and Shaw's now,only use Stop and Shop out of convenience during the week for milk,bread,etc.

I've never been impressed with Stop & Shop ever. Delis overpriced and grimy looking. Staff is always polite however I'm not sure if anybody ever actually cleans there. Management should seriously look at the top of shelves behind things under things for food store it's a little gross. I took a picture inside their men's bathroom show the attention to detail and this is what image you should think of while shopping at Stop & Shop.

I got cod on sale and it was bad. They took it back, but the staff should be teained to apoligize kn behalf of the store, as it's an extra trip, and should be unnecessary. Saying, "oh, yeah, I can smell it through the bag!" doesn't quite cut it.Buying my fish elsewhere now.
