In a world lately where you either get good food or good service . This place is like no other. Stopped here on vacation for just a cup of coffee. We were greeted with a smile . The food looked so amazing we decided to split a breakfast sandwich. My husband and I both looked at each other and wished we each got our own . The owner was so friendly . This a a must in the area .

Just moved here and they came HIGHLY recommended so had to try it! Safe to say it’s our go to place now and haven’t been a miss yet! Have tried multiple items out of my comfort zone and now can’t imagine not getting them! The owner is super friendly and amazing and the macaroons are a wonderful snack after your meal as well as their other assortments of pastries and Parfait paired with a Pistachio ice latte.

We ordered the ribeye steak & cheese and a veggie omelette for pick up. The owner greeted us right when we walked through the door.When we got home my partner had the genius idea to Frankenstein the omelette inside the sandwich so we could split which was filling & delicious. It's an added bonus that the owners seem really kind. I'd highly recommend!

The food and the service were fantastic! The owner was extremely friendly, and courteous. He was chatting with us while we were in the store ordering food. The sandwiches with fresh egg, as the yolk was still runny, which was perfect. The place was clean, and bright and fresh. The place is handicap accessible which is nice. The signs are clear and easy to read. Stop by!

I'm here visiting from CA and there are a few cafes and coffee shops in my neighborhood, but I stumbled across Union Cafe and I've been hooked ever since. Each morning I take a stroll and end up in this paradise of sweet treats and delicious coffee. After a few visits I decided to try out the pancake breakfast. Chefs kiss! Their food menu is extensive enough to dine in for breakfast or lunch, and if you want a fluffy sweet dessert you can stop by before they close in the evening. The staff are so cool. Friendly, attentive and all around cool people. This is my coffee shop of choice when I'm in town.

Unioncafelynn📍 1 Central Square🗣 Finally had the chance to stop by Union Cafe yesterday to check out their 🥩 rib eye cheesesteak sandwich.🤩 Let me tell you, ladies & gentlemen, this was simply outstanding! Like amazing. Like easily top 5-6 steak & cheese’s I’ve ever had (ever). Fresh & delicious rib eye steak cut ‘finely’ and packed into diamond cut ciabatta bread with mushrooms and . This thing was just 😋unreal and everyone in this group (and outside of this group) needs to try it! 🤩🖐🏻 (and the 🍓 cheese cake was delicious as well!)

The shop took the place of a former Dunkin Donuts...which is a breath of fresh air. I had the pleasure of speaking to the gentleman that runs the place. Very nice people, friendly, and welcoming. The place is very clean. Please keep it that way and you'll have many return customers. They have a nice variety of food and beverage options. Lattes, cappuccino, coffee, chai tea, juices, etc. They have good breakfast sandwiches and pastries, bagels, english muffins, and croissants. Currently offer a few lunch sandwiches/subs priced at $7.99 but I have not tried them. They also have an amazing selection of desserts from canoli's to tiramisu cups. I do not know where they source the desserts or their bagels, english muffins, or croissants. I have suggestions below as I review my purchase.Today I did have a breakfast sandwich with ham, egg, cheese on everything bagel and we tried a croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese. I also ordered a regular hot latte. Total $11.37.The sandwiches are good for the price and well made and presented very nicely. You can tell they really care. The bagels could and should be better. I would love to see them feature One Mighty Mill bagels. They are one block away and what a nice co-operative that would be. Union Cafe should approach OMM to see if they could come to a supply agreement. That would really be a nice synergistic arrangement for Central Square, but again it may not be possible. As the area continues to put up hi end rentals Union Cafe will need to offer higher end and creative products. People pay more for fresh homemade items. The most important things are a very clean place, fresh food made daily (not frozen), unique and creative choices, and all made to hi standards. **Don't expand your menu too much because that is where I find quality and standards go down. You can't offer everything, so don't. Just offer what you can produce at the highest quality. Swap out menu items now and then, but don't try to offer 50 items. It's better to offer 20 and do them perfect and fresh all the time. That will be what people remember and come back for.**UPDATE 9/11 - All desserts are from their family bakery so they are not frozen store bought desserts. I tried their pistachio croissant and it was very good. Additionally there was a review done by another person saying they think it is too pricey. I disagree. Having lived in downtown Boston before Lynn the prices are very reasonable. If you think this is expensive then maybe you should just make your food at home. Costs are also higher now since the pandemic and all restaurants reflect that in their prices. Remember, you can always get some Pop-Tarts. You should be able to afford that.**In closing I would definitely be back and I recommend them to anyone who wants a decent breakfast sandwich. I plan on sampling more of their menu. I have to say they are very nice people and care about what they do. I hope they remain successful and maintain the quality standards.

Absolutely outstanding customer service, and very reasonable prices! The owner and his fiancée took the time to introduce themselves and wanted to get to know me, as well. The food is amazing, all made in their family bakery. They work very hard to offer the best pastries and sandwiches in the area, and they care just as much about the community. A family-owned business that cares about your family, too. I will be returning here daily, even if just for coffee on the way to work.

The chef really cooks with love. Everything was so good and he asks you how you want your burger. I had mushrooms, tomatoes, pickles...etc. it didn't even last 5 mins in my hands. I was literally in a FOod frenzy. Not alot of people know how to make such a great tasting burger 🍔 but he, HE KNOWS. THANK YOU FOR FEEDING ME!!
