This is a BIG "Thank you!" to Dr. Peter Dunn for his examination and treatment of our cat, Jasmine, during an emergency visit yesterday. What we feared might be a serious medical condition turned out to be something benign and Doctor Dunn relieved Jasmine of her problem! For over 30 years North Shore Animal Hospital has taken excellent care of our cats and we are so happy they have re-opened under the caring expertise of Doctor Dunn. It was wonderful to see familiar faces in the return of able and experienced staffers! Plus, our cats love Patti's custom-sewn, catnip-filled heart toys and we were delighted to be able to buy them again!

Very friendly and knowledgeable vets and staff, couldn't fault this aspect of the experience. We were willing to pay a premium VS alternative clinics due to this, just not as much of a premium as they are currently asking, you may feel different. Hope a better balance can be struck in the future as we'd happily return more often.

Dr. Peter Dunn is just wonderful. He analyzed my cat Tyger, gave treatment.I returned for a follow up after 1 month to let him know that my cat still wasn't better. He discussed with me my alternatives and I came to a decision. He totally supported me with my decision emotionally and financially. Thank you tremendously Dr. Peter Dunn. I was very pleased that I was able to get a same day emergency appointment for my 8 year old cat suffering from what turned out to be a severe UTI. The vet, I believe Peter Dunn, was very thorough and explained all possible outcomes. After 2 rounds of antibiotics and change of diet, she’s now fine.

Hello, my sweet little kitten who was only one years old passed away on August 3rd 2021. I went to this vet to get her checked because she was throwing up and the vet said there was a string that she must have eaten. The vet that I got did not ask me if I wanted to get her X-rayed just told me that if she isn’t eating as well to come back and that she should be fine. He did not seem nervous so I did not think it would be a problem. I tried to watch her eating but I do have two other cats so it was kind of difficult. Although when I was talking to my friends they informed me that the string could get wrapped around her intestines which the doctor did not tell me as I remember and since he did not seem nervous about Bean I wasn’t nervous because I am a 19 year old girl that does not do this for a living. I think I paid $70 or so dollars for that appt on top of a shot that was $30 all for my cat to die. So I will not be bringing my cats or kittens here anymore. Hope you take this place takes this into account and make sure next time this does not happen.here are some pictures of my sweet girl

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Dunn. They decided to take him to a different room to draw blood where my dog started growling. I ask if they can just do a normal physical in front of me. He literally kicked me out of the hospital. My dog has been a patient in that hospital before and he never had issues. I truly don’t understand how people like Dr. Dunn can be veterinarians.

Extremely courteous and professional staff here. Took my baby boy for his neutering and this was the most convenient location for me that accepted FoA (Friends of Animals) certificates.If you don’t know what that is I HIGHLY recommend you check it out if you’re thinking of getting your dog or cat neutered/spayed. It easily saved me 40-50% of the cost of neutering my puppy.Overall, I had a very pleasant and worryfree experience here and would recommend you to take your dog or cat here for daily vet care (if you live nearby) or for neuter/spay. I live in Boston and it wasn’t the easiest driving up but it was definitely worth it.

Great staff, great care and service! They accept Friends of Animal vouchers, get yours online and use there for discount spay and neutering discounts! Will use the for routine care going forward, highly recommend!

This place is a RIP OFF, charged me $48 dollars for a cats nail trim?!?! At first, receptionist said the price is only $20. Then after the procedure was done, the receptionist says the price is $48 because the cat was difficult so there is a surcharge! Does that make any sense? What kind of cat would be calm while getting their nails done? Receptionist never clarified there were two prices at the beginning! Please Avoid this place! Con Artists! Zero stars!

My dog was bite in Lymn Woods and taken to North Shore Animal Hospital for treatment. After getting the vet ok and paying over $$700 for treament we took her home where she died later the sme day.

They accept certificates from Friends of Animals for spay or neuter. Google them for substantial discount on these services. My pup got neutered recently. No complications. Everyone was nice. I recommend this vet.

I love Dr. Katie! She is so sweet with our two older cats and genuinely cares about their well being. My boy got an infection after his teeth cleanings and extractions - she took care of him straight away the next morning and didn't charge me for the follow up visit. I feel confident in her abilities and very comfortable with her care. Highly recommend! The only thing people should be aware of it to leave a message if you can't get through to reception. Sometimes they're swamped but they always follow up with messages.

Went here the other day to bring my outdoor cat and her lovely tapeworm samples in for a physical & vaccines. I met with Dr. Jean and Kaylee who were both so nice. Made it easy to speak to them about my cat and her unfortunate intestinal hitchhikers.. lol. Also the appointment was quick, professional, and just all around a good visit. Thanks Dr!! I feel more confident I can maintain the health of my cat because now, I know what to do :-)

My dog is a daschund mix. He has seizures and phenobarbital has to be monitored carefully. In his 9 years of life the No Shore Animal Hospital has taken amazing care of him and at the most reasonable rates. We were very lucky to have them and will miss them terribly. They are irreplaceable. Thank you
