OH MY GOD! I love this place. I have been to a few cannabis shops. (full disclosure, more than a few) This place is different for a few reasons. 1, It's woman owned and I love that. You can just see the feminine qualities and attention to detail all around you. 2, It's just a nice experience when you walk in. Every person in there loves their job and you can tell. 3, The prices are so much better than every other place I have been to. 4, This is my favorite thing. They tell you what the price will be after taxes. Other places say they are having a deal like 2 for $50.00 but then the tax is another 8 or 10 bucks but at Essex Apothecary they tell you the deal including tax so you don't get sticker shock when they ring you up. They still charge you tax, don't get me wrong, but they just don't make it sound better than it is. You know up-front how much it will cost after taxes when they ring you up. 5, Is good for me but not that great for them. There aren't a bunch of people in front of you and lines out the door. Why, because their parking situation sucks. I don't think they can do much about it. They have 2 handicapped spaces out in front of the building and all the rest are behind the building. for this reason I think people may overlook the place. I know I did for a while. I encourage you to check the website for hours and menu and give them a try. You won't be sorry.

I was assisted this afternoon from a very kind bud tender named Gio!! I had pre ordered a product however I had some questions & concerns regarding the quality of the product. However when I arrived at the shop I spoke with Geo & Expressed my concerns & Asked questions & He was absolutely amazing!! He definitely clarified everything up for me which gave me reassurance to continue with my purchase.. Thank You I appreciate all of you.. And a special shoutout to Geo for amazing customer service💯

First time in and won’t be the last! Very organized and clean dispensary. Jenna was very welcoming and I was very impressed by her product knowledge. A lot of dispensaries can be overwhelming and rush the process but that’s not the case at Essex! Also Will was very helpful behind the counter! This is my new go-to spot in the Northshore!

I wish I had gotten the name of the woman who gave us SO MUCH advice! She was so kind and friendly that we came back to visit her twice! The prices here are amazing compared to others in Salem. 10/10

Almost did not want to write a review because this place is such a hidden gem. Great products with reasonable pricing. The employees are extremely friendly and you can ask to see the products before purchase. Product quality surpasses other bigger dispensaries and better pricing to boot. Ask for Jenna, she is the manager and a great salesperson!

First time going in today and even though I only went in for a pickup, it was a wonderful experience! I've been working in dispensaries on the same street for the last few years, and I keep meaning to stop in. So glad I finally did; Essex has some of the nicest employees and wonderful prices! Not to mention the space itself is SO beautifully decorated!

This little dispensary is a breath of fresh air. I have been 3 times now and each time the service has been great, I had Jenna last visit but I didn't get the names of the girls that helped me prior. The menu is pretty expansive and the prices are reasonable. Additionally, if you are like me and enjoy themed merchandise there is a little area with some fun products from both local and small businesses. 💨

Kirstin, Will and Amanda were very helpful in answering any questions I had. They had a great selection of products with a lot of merchandise that is great for gifts. I enjoyed how easy it was to find the location and the parking was easy to find. The owner has made the place a lovely atmosphere for people to have peace of mind going in and getting products they need without the stress of being overwhelmed.

I ended up at Essex because they're the only dispensary in my area that carries THC ice cream. On my first visit, Will was extremely helpful and friendly. He recommended an ice cream flavor that ended up being delicious, and we ended up chatting about a local crystal shop we both love! On my second visit, Kayla recommended yet another amazing ice cream flavor and suggested adding brownies. 10/10 recommendation, and she was incredibly easy to talk to and super friendly. I work in Lynn and will be stopping in on my way home every week!

Just 1 employee being rude to me last year made me go else where for my pre rolls and oils. This budtender got annoyed to help me as there was a line waiting and she got upset I asked to be served as she was sitting with the gal who checks ids. I would think customers come first. I had this review up since last year I did a edit 6/28 and Essex apothecary has ignored my review with the rude employee since original review 12/2022. At Old World remedies the staff is more than happyto serve my bud needs

Have driven by several times and finally decided to check it out. I have several chronic illnesses but have mot tried cannabis products yet. Jenna and other staff were so easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable right away. I had many questions and Jenna was quite patient and showed me books in the store that I could use for reference. I really appreciate the personal assistance I got from Jenna and her team.

So glad that I found this shop! Location is super convenient and there is plenty of parking in back. Beautifully decorated interior with a large selection of awesome merch, it's very boutique like. Will and Nick are the best budtenders! They were super friendly and knowledgeable, they helped me navigate the huge selection of edibles and find exactly what I needed. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Lynn.

Wil was amazing! I was out of my comfort zone going into the shop, and I wasn’t sure what exactly I was looking for, but Wil was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable on the types and brands and affects of each. The shop itself was very clean and inviting. This is the only woman owned shop in the city! I would definitely go back!

Just moved from out of state, to Massachusetts where the plant that the man above made for all of us to enjoy is legal. Essex Apothecary was my first stop! I’m so glad I stopped here as the building was very convenient to find as well as the location I am in. I was greeted with the upmost customer service and respect from all the employees. If I could give this business 10 stars I would. We spoke to Will and he was super knowledgeable and friendly. This man knows his stuff as well as to vibe out with some customers. One of the best dispensaries around now! Great prices and some of the best brands around saving you a trip far away to get your favorites. Everyone I have met in there has been awesome and helpful when asked for recommendations. The store inside is very clean and easy to walk through with plenty of parking in the back. If you stop by I'd say give their edible icecream a try it's a good way to beat the heat and stay elevated. It's a amazing women owned dispensary and the owner is a down to earth awesome lady.

Always have great deals on pre rolls and everyone that works there is extremely personable and friendly! I’ve chatted with Wil multiple times and he always provides great recommendations and service! I must say this dispensary is unlike any of the others around ! Upon entering Matt greeted me and helped me make the best choice in product. He was very friendly and knowledgable. I could tell he wanted me to get the best product for my needs and wasn’t just trying to make a sale. I will definitely be visiting again. I have found my new spot for doobies! Staff was friendly and attentive, but if you want the treatment, ask for Wil. My guy helped me picked the right strains for my budget and overall cool guy. Was very knowledgeable, and didn’t mind spending time educating me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
