As always, an excellent experience! Very helpful Staff. Even though it was late I was able to get a rain check. Robin rocks it!Produce is fabulous as always. If you stick to the house brands including the all natural ones, the value is very good.Do be careful! Overall they are pricier than other chains except for their own brands (which are excellent) and items on sale.

Love the new layout! It takes a minute to find everything after been used to the old ways but the store looks great. The renovations give the store a refreshing, modern look. Can tell a lot of taught and money went into this project. Giving Market Basket a good run for its money.

I haven’t shopped at the store in quite a while and today reminded me why. The girls at checkout never smiled. Never asked me how I was and when I asked the question the girl back in my groceries was extremely rude and abrasive. Never shopping here again. I don’t expect you to do handstands and cheer, but a little just a little bit of customer service would be nice.

Hannaford is a nice store. It's smaller compared to some of the other giants but is always clean, stocked, and has an amazing produce section. I only come to Hannaford for forgotten or last-minute items. Hannaford is probably the priciest grocery store in the area, and nowadays, we are all trying to pinch our pennies.

This was my go to place to shop but I'm not a fan anymore . The To-go pickers block the already crowded aisles with their oversized carts, usually 2 employees per aisle in the way stocking shelves or chit-chatting. The checkout people are always nice but I usually have to start bagging my own groceries. I'd go back if they brought back the overnight stocking shifts. There's an almost 3 to 1 employee to customer ratio. No need for it

Not too happy about their marketing... I am starting to question their private labels. Deceptive Marketing: Packaging making you believe it’s a “freshly caught Salmon off the Gulf of Maine”. However, it is actually “Farm Raised” — tricky. In other words, the packing is designed to trick you.

I find Hannaford prices to be generally higher than Market Basket. In my opinion, there are too many self checkouts and too few real human checkout workers. There was only one checkout lane with a real person working. Market Basket has NO self checkouts, which I like.Also, I could not find two products I was looking for. One was an advertised sale item.On a positive note, it was clean, well lit and open until 10:00 PM.

Remodel is nice, very organized. Love the butcher where fresh fish, and meat abound. Now reducing the prices, and economic affordability is another story, a political story with the implication of a sour note. Do not get me started.

My family has been long time purchasers at this Hannahford for well over a decade. Today, we have decided we will not be returning to this due to events that transpired.My mother and I went to the self check-out line to purchase our goods at around 2:40pm today. My mother asked the woman working there if it would be okay if my mother purchased one pack of alcoholic beverages if she could go through the self check-out line with the alcohol and it would be rung up. The employee had an attitude since the start and said something along the lines of “Well I CAN’T ring you out but I CAN accept the purchase and clear it for YOU.”This employee did not say anything after this to us, except watched as I handed my mother every item in the cart to my mother for her to ring it up herself. She watched us throughout this whole process. After I handed my mother the one alcoholic pack she walked over and, again with a snarky attitude, stated “Well is SHE underage.” While we did not know if underage meant 18 or 21 (as I am 20, and therefore under law can serve and bartend since the legal age is 18) we stated no. She then said “Well since she handed it to YOU I CAN’T sell it to you today and have to remove it now.”Which we are quite perplexed and confused about, as the worker had been watching the entirety of our check out process. They then went on to say that it was a federal law, however it was only a Hannahford policy that doesn’t seem to be written anywhere.As the worker was walking away with the alcohol they said “What you’re mad because you can’t get your alcohol. Pathetic.” Which is frankly appalling to hear from an employee that is supposed to be helping people with their purchasing. My mother is not annoyed that she can’t purchase alcohol, she is annoyed that the employee stood their and watched me hand every item from the cart over without stating anything until she removed the one item out of the cart and stated it was a “law”.

They need to focus more on their produce and food, rather than put all of their focus on the remodel. Because that's what it seems they are doing. Most recently I got a cake from the bakery that was frozen and yet "freshly packed" on the 27th. My family is very sick because of whatever they did to the cake.

Hannaford is my favorite grocery store in the area. Always know what to expect when you walk into one of their stores. Great selection good prices excellent meat department very good fish department and the people seem to be happy working here in this location. Best grocery store in a busy market by far for quality value price and cleanliness and responsibility towards their local communities!

Watch out for tampered/used food products.I will no longer be shopping here as I can no longer feel safe for my family doing so.Upon switching to this location from Townsend for a better selection I immediately noticed the difference in the friendliness of the staff. The staff at this location by comparison is rude and lazy. I also noticed that there seems to be an excessive number of hannaford to go shoppers blocking each aisle with giant carts and showing zero considerations for other shoppers, however these reasons are not what has driven me away.A few weeks ago my wife went to open a bottle of wine purchased at this store only to notice that the foil was missing. Then she noticed a hole in the cork as well as obvious signs of someone forcing the cork back down flush to appear unopened, the liquid level was filled to full.Last night I went to open a package of cookies only to find a carefully cut line in an inconspicuous location. Upon feeling the package it was obvious that 3 or 4 cookies were missing from the first row.To me this is obviously employees stealing food and then placing the contaminated items onto shelves at the risk of the health of everyone and anyone who may accidentally buy these products. This is an unacceptable risk to me, my wife and my children and an unforgivable betrayal of my trust. I will never set foot into this location again and will encourage others to consider doing the same.

Always shop here and often could get what I need. Meat counter service is quite POOR - the guy on his cell phone when I came to the counter and asked if he could de-bone a piece of pork…he said no because he couldn’t be bother cleaning up again. It’s 4:30 PM! Such poor service!

I had a bad experience with an employee. When the manager found out what had taken place he removed her from her customer service position to something with leas customer contact and sent me a gift card 👍

I have been in this area most of my life. I can't remember shopping this location in Lunenburg. I decided to stop in for a large grocery order. I was not familiar with the layout. I was able to find a representative named Joe in the pasta sauce isle. He was unloading a shipment and really working hard.I had a few questions about where many items on my list were located in the store. He read my list with me and told me every isle I would need. He was clean cut, very professional and very pleasant. Also told me when out of stock items were going to be available. He is well versed in his position.Thank you. You have a new customer

This has been our go to store for many years. Lately we’ve had quality issues- spoiled “fresh” fish, prepared fruit that went bad in just a few days and bread that barely made it to the “sell by” date. On the plus side the meat selection is usually quite good and the pharmacy staff is excellent.

Good store. Always clean. Friendly staff. They have food, butcher shop, bakery, flowers, beer/wine, and a pharmacy at this location. They also have bottle redemption in front hall. I recommend this location.

Store has gone down hill tremendously. Used to be great but then you go to Market Basket and all their shelves are actually stocked. This place is useless. Half the shelves aren’t stocked, the employees don’t care or help you to look for something EVER, and half the store is littered with stock carts filled with boxes.I understand covid hurt the grocery stores and everyones buying like crazy but this is past that. MB always has stocked shelves, compared to the lack luster selection. Almost all the frozen food is completely gone, not to mention the worst item selection of any store.Petition to put a big Market Basket here? I’m all ears.

The place is never busy, lots of room they aisles. Not always enough registers open. Butcher shop is very good. Nice to be able to get custom cuts when you want it. Bakery has good selections too. Prices are generally higher than Market Basket. They do have some selections that MB doesn't have which makes for a reason to go sometimes.

Everything about this store is great--an excellent selection of local produce, a very good deli and bakery, plenty of room in the aisles for shopping carts, short checkout lines, and friendly staff. Although I don't always come here for day-to-day items, Hannaford is my first choice for any special occasion, or whenever I am in the mood to buy the best possible ingredients for whatever dish I am craving. It's also my go-to store for beer and wine.

I love that the aisles are wide. There are always enough registers open, including self checkout. It is less stressful than other stores. They have a wide variety of products. I will drive further out of my way to go there instead of other supermarkets.

Top quality healthy products you can’t find in other chain stores, quick reliable pharmacy, with a friendly and helpful staff!! They always have what I want in stock, and it’s never overly crowded like MB. Super worth the slightly higher pricing to get all of this, plus with the rewards and online coupons I don’t have to search all over for its a win win win!!

There are positives and negatives to every grocery store. Their prices are slightly higher than Market Basket, but they offer a different selection. Great meat department and bakery.
