Today was my first time coming into Smithland And let me tell you I love it there.The store is well organized , I got help finding a product instantly , They have a great selection of inventory ,And you can’t beat this a free rewards program ! Amanda and Kelly are absolutely amazing! They were extremely helpful in so many different aspects of my shopping experience! Kelly is very knowledgeable about dog diets and made a great recommendation for our new puppy! I can’t wait to see how the doggos enjoy this new food! These women are amazing and every time I come in my experience is always phenomenal!

We have snakes and they always have feeder mice!! Been to other stores and they never have any! Also the shelves are always stocked to the max on everything and the ppl are very nice and educated about the animals available in the store!! Thanks guys

Very upset . I'm a somewhat new customer been going around 2-3 months for bugs. I asks for mealworms 200 normally and $10 worth of crikets larger. They normally give me 75. Come to find out the lady tells me it's suppose to be 90 and the crikets were not large. I counted the worms and its only 50 in each container when I asked for 200 I only got 100 total when I've paid for 200 . Feel ripped off and very disappointed because I actually liked them more petco ect. But now I feel like I've just been getting robbed lowkey. I understand if you don't have the amount but don't lie about it

Our family got a new pup about 5months ago. I bring her to smithland in ludlow about 3 times a week to shop and even just walk around. She is very shy and is not a people person..but the staff has done so good with her and trying to make her feel at home. She has especially warmed up to one of their employees Joy. They have started to form their own little bond..its so awesome to see.

We took our youngest pup for specialty biscuits. The store is clean and well stocked. There is a small corner fenced off for lessons. It fits the space but as a labrador owner isn't a little small for more than a couple dogs. They do have wash tubs for you to bring the dog in for a bath. $13 for each use or buy 10 get 1. They also have the occasional Tuesday $10 special.The live animals in the back are just okay. Not much space or the best lighting. Mostly fish and a few reptiles. Staff was polite.They were out of small bags and do not have paper bags for the icing cookies. They melt quickly in your hand while trying to make your selections. Even a small tray to put them in while making selections would be helpful.

I can not say enough about what great experiences we've had here, beginning with the wonderful puppy class that we found through this location. Also the manager was extremely helpful when asking about different supplies we would need. Lastly associate Riley, talk about going the "extra Mile"! So patient and knowledgeable. I planned on going to the Springfield Dave's, only to find they had closed, so my next closest was Ludlow. I only went to get my son his free fish for earning student of the month. The gentleman working in the fish area was super nice and took us straight to the right spot. He let my son pick his fish, let him choose which bowl he wanted, we grabbed a couple extra items for his new pal and we headed to the register. The cashier girl was a little quiet but nice. The store was clean. And not at all busy for later morning

I went to Smithland to look at some new food options for my pup who has a sensitive stomach. I was welcomed by Amanda who educated me in the types of food they offered and which ones she recommend based on my dogs breed and his sensitive stomach. Amanda also recommended some extra vitamins that would pair really well with the food for extra immune/stomach support. Overall it was a great friendly experience! I recommend seeing Amanda for any questions you may have!

This used to be Dave's for all of you. Who remember. Thankfully Smithland hasn't changed a good thing that was working. It's still your hometown pet store and I recommend when you visit bring your fur friend with you. It's great to take them to a store that's made for them!

In the beginning Smithland had everything imaginable, now, ugh, not so much. I never thought I'd say this.... considering Smithland had low prices, but they've continued to increase their prices astronomically, A.W.Browns is now my go to place! Sorry Smithland, reduce your prices by 30 percent and restock everything you used to carry and I'd consider returning, until then, have a nice bankruptcy!

I recently came to this store for the first time. I was greeted by an employee named Carly, she was very helpful and professional. I was very surprised at the time and care she took to help me find my products. She was very knowledgeable. I was extremely pleased with my experience in this store. It’s not too often that you receive this level of customer care. I definitely will be back to shop here again. Best customer service I’ve had in a while!

Wonderful local store that I visit every week. Colin is someone that I see almost every single time I go (1-2x per week) and he is always so pleasant to be around, friendly, and really cares about providing good service to customers. Even though transactions are quick, he makes sure to leave a great impression and do his absolute best to take care of the customers and pets. He definitely deserves a raise. The store always has what I need for my 4 pets which keeps it easy to stay supplied. Shoutout to Kelly as well, the Store Manager, who reached out to me directly when there was an issue in order to get it resolved. I appreciate her willingness to do that. It is clear that the staff here care about taking care of the pet parent community.

I have a Shepherd Husky mix and the staff here have always been wonderful. Recently I needed to switch my dogs food and the supervisor Amanda took the time to greet my dog and I as well as educate me on the different benefits of different foods, feeding techniques and important vitamin/mineral content. I bought a dog stuffed animal for my Pom-chi (small dog) and she chewed through it in one day. I'm hoping to retut 40 minutest making sure it was a it today. It was my first purchase at Smithlands. Overall the store has anything you could want for your pet. I was impressed. Let's hope they take returns.

I own a 18month old boxer that is very hyper and loving with everyone. I am always very concerned with bringing him into the pet store. So far I have brought him into Smithland in Ludlow three times. Once for the pet clinic for a chip and shots, second for a bath and last for just general shopping.I haven't shopped any where else since I have had my boxer because of the staff and the quality of service I have received there.Recently when I brought my boxer in for shopping I was presently surprised to the point of almost speechless by his reaction to Carly one of the managers who I was lucky to be on register as I was checking out. She was energetic, relaxed and attentive to my pup. His reaction blew me away and he was so calm with her and I think it was because of how she handled herself and spoke to him.He didn't jump, he didn't bark or pull on his leash as he normally would when he wanted to get someone's attention. He sat down listened to her and just let her come to him.I have always been extremely happy with the service there, but after my recent shopping experience with Carly I will definitely not be shopping anywhere else.You can tell that Kelly the store manager takes pride in training her staff and making sure they are the right fit for the store. All of them that I have come across have been on point.HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location.

I am a regular customer being that I have 3 dogs that love to eat! I bring them in to utilize the dog washing station and I couldn’t be more pleased. One thing that really seals the deal is the customer service and environment. I would like to recognize colin who never fails to greet me and goes above and beyond to make sure I am always satisfied! Amanda as well never fails to show nothing but compassion for her job and the love she has for all animals. 10/10 would recommend to any animal lover.

Everyone at this shop is incredibly helpful, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. When I bought a lizard here, Lily walked me through the isles, answered all my questions, and made sure I had everything the animal would need. I wasn’t expecting that, and it was so helpful!
