This was my family's grocery store growing up. It really says something that they've continued to do well despite a stop n shop going up across the street from them. I think they must treat employees fairly well as many have been there for decades.

I do most of my grocery shopping here and have been for the past 8 years. They almost always have everything i am looking for. Though the interior of the store is not the best it is one of the first stores built. The exterior is being rentovated as of august 2020. I would recomend that location be updated with the new store layout including a markets kitchen and also a full bakery. The prices are the same as any other market basket but ALWAYS cheaper than any competition. Worth the money spent here. Will be shopping here till the new store opens on pawtucket blvd.

This store is a good stop for when ur out at the dentist and need to get items while ur waiting on family or friends also have the cheapest and best deals Everytime I go in the staff were very helpful the other day when the EBT system crashed on everyone!!!

Wood st Market basket is the worse store of them all!!!Everything i was looking for was out of stock, shelves are always empty,& you look around the store & see so many red jackets managers,& tons of employees doing nothIng but chatting as if they Wer all on a break, I shop at Market Basket for over 30 yrs, Best location for service is either Chelmsford st, in Chelmsford ma, or the new location on the blvd in Lowell.The cashier i went to was at the 12 items or less, i prob had 14 items, unprofessional customer service she had, calling me out over 2 items, aftr a long day at wrk, my plans wer to run in grab few items, which I did, she couldn’t evn speak English, but she can say too many items, i said i hv 14, 2 soup cans Ovr the 12 items, i actually thought i was in 20 items or less!!They need to bring to her attention costumers are number 1 ,& to just do your job or someone else will!!!I need to report her to upper management!!She doesn’t belong as a registered, put her in the back stocking shelves, were she cant cost u losing costumers,I’ll nevr go to the wood St market basket again!!It was on Monday at 5;09 pm this cashier needs to be reminded who pays her paycheck!!!The owner might sign it, but its the customers tht bring in the money 💰

They haven't had my regular mocha iced coffee (in a cardboard type square bottle) I always get in the fridge isle. So I've had to pay more & get the Starbucks kind. So that's why I've given this 4 stars. (Nothing is ever perfect anyways, with anything and anywhere you go.) Here is a pic of some of my favorites!! Regional chain with good product and better prices. Employees are attentive and fiercely loyal to the company.. since my last review This MB tends to have more exotic products. This may be more so because the neighborhood is more diverse.

They have a wide variety of products available in the store. This could be the dairy products, meat section, dairy section, fruits, vegetables, flower, soda, chips and many more. They definitely do sell products at a very competitive price. This also includes the meat. They have sufficient billing counters, but it could get busy over the weekend. You could expect an approximate wait time of 5min. Parking should not be an issue, they have ample space.

This is a very respectable, albeit smaller, Market Basket. Compared to the Market Basket across the river, the selection of products is slightly limited. But still, a clean grocery store with most everything you could need, at a good value. Includes helpful staff and convenient parking.

Really liked this location for the first time I visited. Same brands and prices as other locations. You will need to ask where the bathroom is if visiting the store. You need to go through the backroom and up a flight of stairs to get there.

I believe most if not all Market Baskets are different . This particular Market Basket on Wood Street in Lowell is pretty consistent. I mean occasionally they dont have certain things but over all decent Market Basket..

Large variety of products, especially given current shortages. Good fresh vegetables and scrumptious rotisserie chicken! The fish department is also good.Very helpful staff. If you can't find it, just ask an employee. They have never failed to give me accurate information.

People who work upfront are rude or walk away in the middle of bagging. also, they keep playing with each other like a kids and they don’t care about the job that they do, Almost never see a manager around. Worse market basket I've ever been in.

This Market Basket is one of the better locations but is lacking in its own bakery and falls short in a few other areas of great customer service. This would not be my 1st choice of locations to shop at with the new location and the Bridge Street locations still far out ranking in service and availability of goods offered

Again it was great! Mr. Demoulas has great old fashioned morals and values. He makes it affordable for the hard working middle class people. My grand parents had also owned a market when they first arrived here in this country always had good to say about the current Mr. Demoulas. Thank you.

While the staff is always polite and helpful, and the store is kept clean, the sheer lack of product variety and availability is enough to outweigh any positives to be had.For that matter, often times you'll arrive to find that the products they do carry are suddenly out of stock... This is the more frustrating of the two, as proper inventory management should preclude the issue from occurring regularly...

It serves it's purpose of you don't want to cross the Rourke Bridge. Does not have much in the way for "heated" dinners if you're into those (the pre-made ones). The Pawtucket Blvd location has those. I have no issues shopping here.

As of August 2022... they have... some stuff. If you're on a major budget this is a good place to find stuff you can mostly afford. If you have a list go to another Market Basket... you won't find the majority of specific items here. Don't go here for fried chicken.. or a normal assortment of other frozen foods.. also don't plan to store any meat from here for more than a day.

They just finished a much-needed remodeling of the plaza and refreshed the inside of the store. This store does not have the same variety of the larger Market Basket stores, but it's smaller size makes shopping quicker and it has most of what I need without the crowds of the larger stores.

Aisles are way too narrow. Can only fit one cart at a time. Do not recommend if shopping with more than 1 person.

Old school supermarket compared to the newer Market Baskets out there. This one reminds me more the Demoulas feel than being a full sized Market Basket. In the end the staff is very nice, the place is packed with all the things you need & there is a lot of parking with other good stores in the plaza to support it.
