Back in 2016 after purchasing our first home we decided to commemorate it with a cat! Visited the Lowell Humane Society and after a very simple adoption process we took her home. Olive is the absolute sweetest cat I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing and very grateful to the Lowell Humane Society’s work in the community.

This place is top notch. They helped me neuter my male cat during a very difficult time for us. The vet wanted 1000 dollars for it. They were do awesome and friendly. It's great to know people still love animals and want to help.

Yesterday I went here I adopted a 4 year old cat named Morgan. I had a great experience. Everything was easy and everyone was very nice. I would definitely recommend adopting at this Humane Society. Morgan is adjusting well and he is happy. I’m very happy.

We adopted our little Ozzy from the Lowell Humane Society. He is a real bundle of love. We were very well received by the adoption center, we were given a lot of information about him, his diet, his habits, etc. We left with a bag of food, treats, a carrier and his favorite toys. We are very happy that Ozzy has joined our family, a daily happiness!!

They have such beautiful animals and they do a wonderful job. I truly wanted to adopt a doggy an older one not even a puppy or anything but the prices where just too expensive and if im gunna pay prices like that then I don't want to go threw the whole application process which I had no problem with they wanna talk to ur landlord if u rent or see ur deed if u own. And other stuff. Idk i completely understand they have their shots and all that but the poor animals that don't get adopted its sad.

Loved every second of being there! The people there are so friendly and helpful. Got to meet a wonderful happy cat that I'm glad to say came home with us today!!!Such an easy adoption process - head on down and save some lives!!

My husband daughter and I went here to adopt a kitten,we ended up getting 2 kittens brother and sister. The lady that took care of us was wonderful! Thanks and we are very happy with our new additions to our family..

We adopted Crypto today from Lowell Humane Society and had such a pleasant experience! I knew as soon as I saw his picture that he’d be perfect for our family. We can’t wait to introduce him to the cat in a few weeks once he’s acclimated, we think they’re going to get along just fine 💛. A big shout out to Sara, Nate, and rest of the Lowell Humane Society staff; especially the Saturday morning crew for the parking lot fiasco! Thank you for letting us be Crypto’s Furever home 🏡

I went and got my cat neutered at the humane society and he got sent home without a cone because he, quote, "wasn't licking" and now that he IS trying to lick I have to wrangle him into a cone (that I had to buy, mind you!) myself. I don't know what I'm doing?! This cat is 12 lbs and his claws are sharp man. Why couldn't they have just given him a cone when he was there? Of course he was going to eventually try to lick he's a CAT and he knows something has changed. I fully blame whoever let him go home without one if he gets an infection or reopens the incisions. I'm only making this review because I'm extremely frustrated and know it's MY pocket that's going to hurt if this becomes a bigger issue. I could barely afford a neuter in the first place and that's why I went here. I can't afford for my cat to get sick.

If you're looking for a new addition for your home, the humane society is amazing. All the kitties I was inquiring about were spoken for so after a few weeks the shelter reached out to us about Bill and said he'd be a good match. We've had him for almost a year and he's my perfect little man and I could not be happier, thank you so much for all you do!

Wonderful facility with caring staff. I adopted my best friend, Tux, here last December. My kitten had a little cold and wasn’t able to picked up right away, but the adoption process was easy and they honored putting him on hold until I was able to come in. They communicated clearly throughout the process and answered all my questions. My kitten’s personality is absolutely a perfect match for me and I seriously couldn’t be happier. I drop off donations when I can to support and I hope to be able to dedicate time to volunteer here in the future. I am so glad I adopted my baby from here and I plan to adopt another one from here at some point in the future. Thank you so much, Lowell Humane Society, for all you do!!! I am forever grateful for such a great match and can’t imagine my life without him.

Got our beloved cat Quimby here. He's so lovely and cute. I have volunteered here since I turned 16, great staff and great for community service hours. Building is a bit small, but animals are all well cared for. Please adopt, don't shop

I have my two kittens nails trimmed by the very experienced staff. Always pleasant and professional. We enjoy visiting with all the animals waiting for adoption. If only we could bring home a few more.

This place is terrible. These people are liars and money hungry. They told us that the animal can't be travel with or can't be around different people. They ask for $300 for the animals, which would be ok if the animals were taken care of. They had birds with overgrown beaks which makes it difficult for them to eat and there is a cat flu going around. They lie say you can't find a cat cheaper than $200 when Animal Rescue League of NH has them for $175 to $50 and $50 off bonded pairs. Kitty angles are $160. What's weird is that the cats had a similar day of put up for adoption.Edit: The owner is once again lying as we asked for a cheaper cat, and your workers responded with, "You won't find a cheaper cat than 200 even on facebook."

The staff of the Humane Society have a wonderful ability to find the right pet for you. Their love of the animals in their care shines thru by the dedication they have to insuring the animals go to just the right home. I now have a cat who is just right for the natural rhythm of my home and the other animals in it.

I adopted 3 parakeets. All bros. and sisters. 1 male 2 female. Great health beautiful and happy. Ioved the Lowell Humane. The staff was very informative and very nice. I recommend this Humane Society.

A very clean shelter with incredibly compassionate and professional staff that genuinely care for the animals and are attentive to their needs. The busy staff deserve tremendous thanks for all their hard work.We unfortunately had to surrender our two cats to LHS, at a very difficult time for our family. The staff did everything they could to ease the process for the cats and for us. They answered all our questions and went above and beyond in reviewing all the information we provided to them and learning how to take care of the cats. We are so incredibly grateful for their efforts.

I will never go there again they were so insulting and acted like they didn't want the animal rescued ! Last one I got there many years ago they told me he had kennel cough and he had asthma ? I thought they had to be checked out by a vet before getting adopted ? Recently went there to get a pet and like I said never again just rude , insulting and had to say no nevermind . I felt bad for the animal but spending my money and time I didn't need the rudeness ! Since then I have adopted an animal that I wanted and was a smooth and pleasant adoption but not from the lowell humane society ... I hate leaving a review like this but I just did not understand why they were like that and I cannot be the only one ?

All of the people at the lowell humane society are absolutely amazing. Everyone goes above and beyond in so many aspects to make sure the animals are not only taken care of when with them at the humane society but, they make sure the animals will be taken care of and loved and adopted out to families who will love and cherish them the way they should have been all along.
