This company’s was recommended to me by a pro. I was excited at how responsive the lady was who answered my call for an estimate. The date of the appointment for estimate was June 21st. Adam came out spoke with me and took measurements. I was eager to get this estimate and start the work this summer. Today it is July 5th and to date NO response. The receptionist who answers the phone has been very courteous but Adam who promised to get me the estimate in 24-48 hours has not called or email to provide estimate. They installed our fence and the gates would not open and close without a struggle. The fence also popped out of the posts. It was terrible. I don't know why this was such an issue. It took 2 months and eight phone calls to get someone to fix the issue. Finally the gate works and fence is complete. This is what you should expect.

The lady in the office was not very personable, but once we spoke with the installer he was easy to work with. He answered all our questions, gave a reasonable estimate, and installed on time with no problems. The work crew was courteous and adept. We were very happy with the job and the finished result. The owner, Glenn, has fencing in his blood! He understands all aspects of the field - from pricing, materials, labor and competition. We were interested in having 160' of 6' tall vinyl fencing (no gates) and having a chain link fence repaired (minor effort). Glenn made valued recommendations to help with aesthetics. He works 7 days a week, showing up over the weekend to check on project progress. We found pricing to be competitive, and would only go to him for future work.GMH installation team, led by Jonah, did an excellent job. They answered our questions and addressed any concerns we had. Most importantly, the fence was installed straight as an arrow!As with everything in the Pandemic Year, our project was impacted by supply chain shortages. Accordingly, we had to wait 12 weeks from July down payment until the job began in November. While we had hoped it would be done sooner, we were nevertheless very pleased (5 stars) because we were told by the office team (Diane) that it would take that long. Also, they met our Thanksgiving date, which was key for us.We think the real "superstar" of GMH Fencing is Diane. She answers the phone, keeps track of customer orders, helps get people in touch (phone or email) with Glenn and addresses any concerns with honesty, not just telling you what you want to hear. Diane manages to stay up to date on multiple orders, different installer teams, project scheduler and a very, very busy boss. Diane told us from day 1 to expect to wait 12 weeks and she was right, nearly to the day. My husband and I just had a vinyl fence put up in our yard for border and privacy issues. This was something we have been wanting to do for a few years. Due to cost restraints we had to wait for the perfect timing. We had just recently come into a little money and we were still hesitant but decided to move forward with the fencing. My husband did all the leg work and he is also very analytical and very picky about how anything is done. We had a few estimates from other fence companies that were somewhat comparable but we decided to go with GMH Fencing as they were more willing to work with us as far as cost and time availability. There was a crew of three men and they got started right away. These gentlemen were so efficient, hard working, respectful and attentive to all our needs. We are so thrilled and happy with our new fence and the quality workmanship they provided. We are so excited that I told my husband I have to call GMH and let them know what a great job these fellas did. We "Highly" recommend GMH Fencing and if your lucky enough you will get the same awesome three guys we had. We have some more fencing we would like to have done it in early fall. GMH Fence just installed a cedar panel fence around our backyard. We initially received estimates from four companies and GMH was highly competitive in their pricing. We expected the job to take two full days, but they finished it in much less time and we love our new fence! Their crew was amazing... responsive and super professional. First contact was by phone. Woman in office rude. Gate fell off our vinyl fence. Wanted to know who made our vinyl fence. I said I didn't know and told we hadn't own the house that long and there was no label or badge on our fence. She said if it was a "Home Depot Job" they couldn't fix it. She then said someone could do a "drive by" to see if they could fix it. After three days of not hearing back from her, I emailed. Only then did she say they couldn't fix it. What kind of customer service is that? Should we decide to replace the entire fence one day we won't be calling GMH.

Beware of this company. The principals are reckless, deceptive and irresponsible.On Monday August 28, 2016, one of the GMH Fencing Co. trucks, Massachusetts commercial plate number L37 636, a Ford F550 was driving up I-91 North raining pounds of gravel onto the highway from an unsecured flatbed tarp and side rails.The shower of rocks damaged the windshields to two separate vehicles following. All three drivers pulled over after exiting at the Hadley exit and crossing the River.The courtesy of allowing the driver to continue on to his job without waiting for the police, where other workers were said to be waiting on materials, was rewarded with slimy evasiveness of responsibility by persons in the main office. The driver, Felix, assured us both (drivers of the damaged vehicles) that the manager would take care of the damage. He was wrong.Numerous calls were not returned and when the office was finally reached, a man who refused to identify himself said that he would deny it was his truck or gravel and that he would take no responsibility for the damage.Unethical business deserves no support from the public.Beware.

We contacted for a quote of adding additional fencing to make it longer, moving the additional gate and adding a chain link fenced area in the back for the dogs. We were told when he inspected they couldn’t move the gate because it wasn’t their fencing, but would give a quote for adding the fencing, a new gating system and the chain linked area. After almost a week with no quote we called to be told it was “lost” and they would re do another quote and email it to us. Instead we got an email saying sorry we don’t move other fencing we can’t help you sorry. Completely unprofessional. If they didn’t want the business when they got here, they should’ve just said this isn’t a project we want to work on instead of the lost quote and email after a week and a phone call for the quote just to say we can’t move your fence, which we said in the beginning the only part needed moving was the gate and we were willing to buy a new gating system.Completely unprofessional but glad we saw that before doing business with them
