Absolutely love the staff at the dog shop! I have been bringing 3 of my dogs here for the past two years and have had no complaints!2 of my high energy pups go to daycare and when I pick them up they always have a smile on their face! They are just as happy as when I drop them off in the morning!My dog I bring for grooming loves them as well! He’s a somewhat difficult dog but they are very patient with him and the haircuts always come out just the way I want them to!I highly recommend The Dog Shop! We send friends, family, and even strangers to them! Thank you guys for treating my dogs like your own!

Update: we gave them another shot in terms of making an appointment and it went much smoother. It’s a small shop and they’re always busy so patience is key in getting in here. They do great work, our dog adores them & they’re priced fairly. Highly recommend the shop.We wanted to switch to Dog Shop after the great work they did with our dog. Unfortunately it’s appearing their communication and scheduling system is subpar. I called for an appointment and left my phone number only to never receive a return call. Instead they called my wife’s number while she was working but never left a voicemail. She called back, left a voicemail (our second attempt now) but we never heard back again (they did call the next day when she was working again but didn’t leave a voicemail, again). It’s a shame because they were extremely friendly and Sasha (dog) seemed to love her trip there.

Do not take your dog here.We have two Cavapoos, 2 1/2 years old and from the same litter.We've been to the Dog Shop a few times now, and each time our dogs seem more nervous when we arrive. The last time we were here, I offered a few requests for how the cut would be done, and I called attention to the one of the dogs who had a couple of mats on her shoulders. I acknowledged that I would be fine with them shaving those areas. I was certain there were no mats on the rest of her body. However, but when I picked them up, both dogs were shaved severely, almost over their entire bodies, even in large areas where I knew there were no mats (I brush them myself daily). They even shaved the dog that had no mats. No phone call, no text, no contact from them at all to check about this.I wanted to give the store the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe I had missed other mats unknowingly, so I tried making one more appointment.Today I arrived and one of my dogs was literally shaking in terror and would not come close to let me pick her up out of the car. She was petrified, shaking and lifting one paw and then the other. It took several moments to calm her. We finally went inside, and the lady at the counter, not looking at me, asked, "Who do we have here?" I gave the names of the dogs, and she asked if there were any changes in what I wanted for the cut. I replied that I was certain there were no mats, and that we'd rather they were not shaved. Here's what turned out to be the last straw for me. She exclaimed, "Well, if we find any mats we WILL (emphasis was hers) shave them." At that point I left the store, and we won't be going back. Stay away if you love your dogs and want any control at all over their grooming.

I love this place! My dog is terrified of getting his nails cut and his previous vets told us he would have to be sedated to come in. He was just scared. With the right tactics and knowledge, the awesome women at the Dog Shop can cut his nails in 5 minutes or less and he's SO HAPPY every time we go! Special shout out to Brigette, who he is always especially happy to see. Thank you for helping my pup!

My dog cannot handle his paws being touched. I can't do cut his nails at home and his old vet said they wouldn't touch him unless he was sedated. They tried once and four people needed to hold him down.I called the Dog Shop and explained how tough my dog can be for nails and they just said come on down, no hesitation. He was done in 5 minutes and came out running and all kinds of happy.I will never being him anywhere else. They understood what my dog needed to get though an event that makes him scared and anxious and I'm so thankful for that, along with the understanding that not every dog is perfect.Everyone is really great, especially Bridgette, who he sees the most (Rupert says hi and I'm sorry if I spelled your name wrong!).

I'm not one who typically writes reviews whether good or bad....but, I brought my dog to get his nails cut and he ended up bleeding from 8 of his toes. I had to bring him back within an hour so they could put styptic powder on them. Now a day later he still won't put all 4 feet down at the same time. Definitely not going back there. Zero stars should be an option.🐶😔👎👎

My dog was cut and injured that resulted in an emergency visit to a vet hospital, stitches, and a traumatized dog and a high vet bill. No calls from the staff to check on the status of my dog. I had to pursue reimbursement for the vet bill which they should have immediately initiated. Neither the owner not the manager called to see how my fog was doing. They've lost my business after 10 years. Beware.

I have a Newfoundland and a miniature Scotty-poo... my dogs went here for a couple years with no problem. Than all of a sudden they were traumatized by this place. My dogs would shake when we even walked near the dog shop. We stopped going there for a year than we saw an employeee that also worked at Browns and she joked about not having to “tourture” the dogs here..... my Newfoundland was so well behaved and loved being groomed. I firmly believe they’re aggressive and rough with the animals in their care. Do not bring your dogs here they’re cruel to dogs and put up a friendly front. If I could leave zero stars I would.

save your self time and heart ach. There are much better places. Best part. Over heard one of the groomers talk about her smoking weed. Yup dnt want her or any of the rest of them touching my dog. The short haird blonde also very nasty to one of her groomers. Only went there cause a friend of mine is a customer. Going to have to question her mental state. STAY FAR FAR AWAY.
