Having made an appointment online for an updated Covid shot (for those over age 65, as per CDC recommendation), I was told that "Corporate has not yet authorized this" and was denied the vaccination. I told the pharmacist that there is nothing on their website to indicate that the updated shot has not yet been authorized by "Corporate", and that such information should be posted on their website. He replied that they have no real control over what goes on their (own) website! I told him this was very bad public relations and to please let "Corporate" know this. He more or less shrugged and said, "Corporate doesn't really pay much attention to what we say." I suspect this is true, and I will write to the Corporate headquarters. Meanwhile, I was easily able to schedule the vax at a local, independent pharmacy in Lexington. Bottom line: I advise you to call the pharmacy before trying to set up an appointment on line, to make sure the Powers that Be have authorized this updated vaccine!R. PiesLexington

I would have give the pharmacy one star, BUT:Elaine was sharp, and though obviously trying to manage multiple customers AND a less-experienced crew, she was able to laser-focus on getting me served, which took her all of 2 minutes. Compared to the fledgling intern that was clearly struggling but didn't know better to ask for help.A clear indication of many things, but training ranks high up there. It's a thankless job, so I made very sure to say thank you to Eliane— and she knew I meant it.

Stopped by this evening. Told clerk I had 2 prescriptions. Received a small bag with 2 containers, paid, and left. Got home to discover it was 2 containers of the same drug—which is fine—but no 2nd medication! Yet received a txt today that both were ready. Not going back. Will transfer scripts to CVS, or Amazon.

I came to Pharmacy to pick up my meds, it was a mess.The technicians scrambles to search paper bags in each plastic bin, for every pick-up. Everyone waited a long time, as two technicians searching amongst so many paper bags.Can not believe such a pharmacy on earth...Will definitely go to CVS next time

I would give it a negative star if I could. I’ve had numerous issues that I brushed off due to locality convenience. The pharmacy team is the most unprofessional group I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve been given the wrong scripts and charged for them. They would not provide me a refund (which happened twice) and recommended that I call corporate (It was over an hour's hold time, and the call hung up when someone answered). I went in there last week and asked if my husband could do a walk-in for his and our son's flu shot over the weekend; the pharmacist told me yes. My husband went in today, October 28th, and was told no after acknowledging we were told yes, and he laughed in my husband's face. Deplorable behavior and Walgreens should be ashamed. No, I will not waste my time calling corporate, but I will leave this comment as a longtime customer that will not be returning.

Do not use for pharmacy. I Would not recommend at all. They are incompetent. I Waited on hold for hours then the call was disconnected. I Had to do this several times. Just for the the pharmacist to pretend that I never had a prescription at all. I used both the automated prescription refill call in system and talked to the pharmacist on the phone. Neither resulted in an actual prescription refill. Switched pharmacies to the concord location and they actually answered the phone and had no problem finding my prescriptions at all. Magically my prescriptions were in the system. Switching was easier than trying to refill a prescription with Lexington. Absolutely ridiculous.

Subject: COVID-19 booster appointment -- very poor, disappointing service — go elsewhere to get your vaccinations which is what I did and received an appointment and booster shot the same day and within a 10-mile radius from my home.Background: I received a C-19 vax booster confirmation from Walgreens (60 Bedford Street, Lexington) then 2 days later a voicemail from the same pharmacy cancelling the appointment for lack of stock (I presume this meant the booster inoculation). I returned to the Walgreens website to schedule another appointment to discover the current appointment was still active. Scheduled a second appointment anyway then called the pharmacy at 02:00p to ask about the cancelled appointment. (1) The ONLY number provided is a Call Center number that poses an overlong question set, HOLD, then a human answers who could not answer any question other than confirm the appointment, could not provide a local pharmacy phone number, was able to identify the pharmacy as Walgreens 1863, and transferred my call directly to Walgreens 1863. My opinion: the Call Center in this case could not provide any more information than I already had -- waste of my time. (2) Was connected with the pharmacy at 02:10p, listened to Muzak for 2 minutes, then the phone rang unanswered for 2 minutes, reverted back to HOLD and Muzak for 2 minutes at 02:12p, 2 minutes later at 02:14p phone rang momentarily, then HOLD until 02:16p for 2 rings, HOLD until 02:18p for 2 rings, etc. until a male voice answered my call at 02:22p. My opinion: poor execution of handling calls — an example of poor management. (3) His replies to my question — yes, the phone call cancelling the appointment was for lack of stock; no, they do not update their website to display (a) lack of stock despite the website showing available supply, (b) it’s up to the Walgreens customer to reschedule the appointment, and (c) yes, the customer may still get a phone call cancelling the appointment if the lack of stock persists. My opinion: a total disregard for the Walgreens customer. By contrast the pharmacy where I received an appointment and C-19 booster inoculation two hours after my off-putting Walgreens experience was customer-centric and an example of stellar management.

Had a bad experience at this store getting vaccines twice. First I got a flu vaccine appointment and had to wait an hour even after having an appointment. The pharmacists are quite rude to customers. They are probably over worked and under staffed, but it's their job to clear doubts and answer questions.Then unfortunately I scheduled the COVID vaccine for my child here as it was the earliest appointment available, this time though the check in process was smooth, the person administering the shot was so rough. She literally scolded my child for having a long sleeve shirt on and then gave her the most painful shot ever. There was so much bleeding that I was shocked. I thought they were supposed to use pediatric needles for kids!! She also had a thick accent that made it difficult to understand what she was saying in terms of what side effects to expect, etc.I had my booster the next day at cvs and it went so smooth and the nurse was so good that I didn't even feel the needle.Give this place a miss if you are looking for a vaccine.

Don't get tested here for travel!Walgreens website says that "We're here to help you travel safer" but the results can take 72h to come back. So your test is not valid anymore at the border.I wish I had read all the comments here. We may end up in a $400+ private quick testing site or lose our trip!

My local pharmacy for all things for about 10 years. Customer service is generally good but can be slow when there is a rush, they answer the phones (both the front and the pharmacist) which is a plus in these days of automated phone service, it is clean, well lit, and well stocked. There is an Bank of America ATM outside which is nice.

The location is close to where I live so I don’t want to drive a few miles away for another Walgreens or CVS. However, my personal experience is terrible - has it ever happened to anyone that the prescription was a few tablets short one time and a few tablets more the next? It was just coincidentally that I counted otherwise I would be in big trouble. There was no sorry at all and I had to wait for a few days before getting my backfill - my treatment was interrupted and it was anti biotics that means potential resistance. A more recent example is COVID testing - there is no sign at all about the introduction on site. Poor management!

Avoid the pharmacy if you can. I would give it a 0 star if I could. I had an appointment to get a vaccine, and I arrived 10 minutes before the appointment. But I waited for 40 minutes without even given the patient form to fill out. There were 4-5 staff there working very slowly. I honestly feel that they don't care. There was a long line for prescription pick up and drop off as well. It's very hard to get a hold of any staff there. They appear to walk around and ignore you. At that point, I decided to cut my loss and just leave. Before I walked out, I asked how long should I wait given that I have waited for 40 minutes, the staff finally had time for me and told me how busy they were etc in a condescending tone. But they didn't have time to talk to me before I brought up the fact that the waiting time is too long. I don't think they care.

Avoid the pharmacy if you can. For your own safety. I got a flu shot there,because very close to my house. A young woman came to me ,did not ask what my name. She pierced the needle violently into my shoulder, blood spurted out immediately. I screamed for pain. Next day my shoulder very pain,a big red and very big swollen. I do flu shot every year in Hospital or cvs, my shoulder has never been red and swollen even I can not find the needle port

Filthy, disorganized store. I understand that stores across the country are experiencing labor shortages but this store is appalling. It is dirty, falling apart and the pharmacy is a disorganized mess. I was waiting nearly 40 minutes for my (scheduled) vaccine and I don’t think I was the only one. At least the pharmacist or tech that did the actual injection was great but next time I’ll probably go to CVS or at least a different location.

Never ever even think about testing there. You won't get your result, so just don't waste your time at Walgreens and find another place. It's been 48 hours and they still didn't even sent my sample to the lab. How can you comply with 72 hours travel restrictions if there is no chance that company (who was trusted, by the way, by airlines) can deliver all the result in time!!!

This was my worst pharmacy experience. Waited at their pharmacy for nearly an hour on a Monday afternoon for vaccination with no update what so ever after they took my information. Then the manager simply said the pharmacists were still overwhelmed and they have no way of knowing how much it longer would be!! I had to leave with no shot after that long wait! Very poor management. Definitely not recommended for any vaccination service!!

The pharmacy staff here is the kindest group of people I have ever seen. They are incredibly friendly, courteous, and patient. Not only did they make me a fan of Walgreens but they made me a fan of their entire team.

Drive through for photo pickup was a bit disastrous. I spent approx 40 mins on the phone and in line for pickup but ended up canceling the whole thing... First, they couldn't locate the order after it was delivered to the store. Then they found it while I was on the phone with national. When I went to pick it up, it could not be found. Needless to say, I will be avoiding this specific Walgreens for future photo orders.

Very slow service at the register. Even the backup is slow to answer when called. Pretty bad "social distance" protocols as well, with blatant disregard and very few stickers on the floor to remind people. Took almost a half hour to buy two cans because only one register was open in the middle of the day. Not to mention the cashiers absolutely don't want to be there. Terrible attitudes and really depressing.

Filled a prescription here today, for the first time. It was supposed to have 15 pills, but clearly had only 11! How can they mis-count by so much! Or, if this is somehow intentional, how could they think skipping four pills out of 15 would not be noticed! Terrible! I will try to complain and see if they will fix this but somehow I doubt they will... I'll update this review if they do.

Rude pharmacist. 3 hours to simply get a flu shot record sent over to doctor's office.I called them to have my flu shot records (that I had one day before) faxed to my doctor's office, they said they couldn't do it, they said I could get it at another Walgreens location closer to my doctor's office (in Pawtucket, RI), I went there they couldn't print it from their system, they called this location again and I ended up with a receipt and the lot number written down by the staff, went back to the doctor's office and had them call the pharmacy themselves, the pharmacist said she would fax it over to the office. Waited 30min, nothing. Called again, pharmacist said she would do when she could because she had a lot to do and couldn't do everything at the same time even after I told her I was at the doctor's office waiting for that only and the doctor had to leave soon. I mean really? How long can you take to simply fax a flu shot record?! 2 minutes? Never ever getting any shots done at any Walgreens location, this is a joke.

This Walgreens is a large facility with a large variety of products. This store also has a pharmacy that is a drive-thru, which is incredibly helpful. The store is also conveniently placed next to a Bank Of America ATM, and is right in the center of this large town. Although, the infrastructure is not ahead of its time, it is still adequate for today
