Cut was not what I was expecting, she looked like she had the mange, uneven and I asked for 1/2 inch cut all around. My appointment was at 12:30. They didn’t even get her in there until about 345. I was late getting my daughter to her lacrosse game because of the delay.

I dropped my dog off earlier today for a routine grooming. My dog is a puppy- about 10 months old and is still learning to behave “perfectly” during brushing. I am well aware she gets a little ‘mouthy’ when getting brushed and my partner and I have been working hard to train this out of her. We even warned the groomer, Madison, of this upon arrival and she brushed it off like she wasn’t worried at all. My dog is very sweet- even giving the groomer licks upon drop off. About an hour after I dropped Honey off we got a call saying we would have to come pick her up, as the groomer, Madison, did not want to finish the grooming. She explained that Honey was not cooperating well during brushing so she could not go further and move onto the trimming. She explained that without a full brush out she would not be able to use her tools to cut her. I was understanding until she then contradicted herself by proceeding to say that Honey was just about fully brushed out. I know from past experience that Honey does very well with all parts of the grooming except the brushing. I understand a staff should not be put in “danger” but I did not understand why Madison couldn’t just move onto the trimming since the brushing was finished (as she said herself.) When I asked her kindly if she could finish the trimming since she was pretty much fully brushed out, she then went back on her word again and told me it would risk damaging her tools if she tried to cut Honey. She then proceeded to tell me that Honey would have to be muzzled during groomings and this was not a service she can provide.I ended up picking Honey up, and paying nearly $60 for the bath and blow dry which is just insane. I took Honey to another local groomer that had openings and watched from the car to see how she behaved. The groomer I brought her to confirmed that Honey was infact brushed all the way out, and that she could go ahead and just finish where the other groomer left off. We left Honey to get her grooming and upon pick up the groomer told us she did not have to muzzle Honey and that Honey behaved well as no dog is “perfect.” I will never recommend Petco grooming to my family or friends as they showed me today that they simply give up unless a dog is ‘perfectly’ behaved. I am thankful I found this new groomer elsewhere.

We signed our pet in for a nail trim, our rewards number was on the slip they gave us to bring to the register. We then browsed through the store and picked up some other items and payed for everything all at once. We lost our receipt, and then realized when we logged on our account that our points were not coming up. I called, but was told that there was nothing they could do.

It was my first time and the last, I asked them to clean my dog's face and the person simply shaved his nose, he didn't clean the back and the nails were terrible, poor quality service. My daughter left there crying holding the puppie.

I have two very large, (100+ lb) HYPER dogs - The ladies are absolutely amazing in keeping them calm and getting them super clean. I truly can't imagine bringing my dogs elsewhere, nor do I think the pups would let me! So many options from a basic bath to a full deshed, absolutely amazing and recommend giving them a try!

Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgable and present. As new dog owners this was super helpful and very important. We went back the next day for some supplies for our new fur kid and spent tons of time with associates who were more than happy to make recommendations, share stories of their own experiences and offer tips. In particular Megan (spelling might be wrong) and Amy, who is a dog trainer, made us feel right at home. Megan was a real pro, both ladies were, but Megan walked us around the store and talked to us about food, dental hygiene, skin care, safety, crating, etc. She was just outstanding, hugged us when we left, and single handedly made us loyal to this PetCo. Could not have asked for a better experience.

I have a terrier mix with separation anxiety, and a fear of water. The team at Petco takes good care of my dog so he has an easier less stressful experience. He is a tough cookie but they make bath time look effortless.Sometimes it is hard to get them on the phone but once you are there it's worth it.

i took my yorkie to the grooming and she totally cut his hairs and it cut it so deep near the nose which is very sensitive that he has a wound and i need to take him to vet .... My yorkie didnt allow her to cut the nails as he didnt like to i guess and she was forcing and he tried to bit her and after the payment she says she cannot take him anymore as he tried to bite her seriously ...i didnt get the appointment at petsmart so thought will take it petco but its worst will never ever take my dog again to them .... worst service ever never expected this .... my vet was saying you took him to the wrong groomer worst experience
