This honestly broke my heart. A crested geckos habitat needs to be between 66°-78°F with a low humidity of 40% and a high of 80%. So why is this babies tank in the DESERT levels of 90°F with a 5% humidity level? You are going to if not kill your gecko but give them severe skin and respiratory issues. I cried leaving petco. This is disgusting do better.

The staff was absolutely excellent! They had our pick-up order ready for us and were very helpful with our in-store shopping. Everyone was pleasant, knowledgeable, and made it such a great shopping experience. I see such a positive change from a few years ago, and we will now be back as customers thanks to the fantastic customer service. Thank you for being wonderful. We love our new 75-gallon aquarium, and the stand is great!

I bought a guinea pig last night. An employee named Logan helped me and my boyfriend through everything. He gave us a full rundown on bedding and hay. He even did a check up on the little guy right in front of us to make sure he was ok. I’ve also gotten two hamsters from this store and they have been so docile and friendly. Best petco I’ve been too!

Always a few dead fish in the tanks. None of the fish in the tanks have matching labels to help identify the fish. Most of the labels are for fish they were selling 6 months ago. No info on the tanks about care requirements or recommended tank sizes. The last two times I went there this month to buy fish and aquarium plants, I waited to be helped by the aquarium guy for 5-10 minutes and then finally walked out empty handed because customers ask question after question (simple questions they could find answers to on google) and the employee is very wordy. He can see multiple customers waiting to be helped but he keeps talking and talking and no other employees work in the fish department so I just get ignored. End rant.

I went to Petco,because my usual pet store did not have the dog food that I needed for my dogs so I went there. I paid $10 more than what I regularly paid and the price that is online through Petco is different than what is at the store which I feel is completely unfair and bad customer service.

I was a Petco customer for over 3 years, I said I was. I bought 2 fish for my aquarium and on the same day the fish died, I read on the Petco website that I didn't need to bring the dead fish to the store. Just a photo proving what happened. So it was done. upon arriving at the store, they are unwilling to issue a refund claiming that internal policy required the fish to be brought back. I felt very poorly attended and even though I have been a customer for years, they would rather lose a customer than simply refund. I was disappointed but thank goodness we have PetSmart in Leominster which I will now become a customer

Great experience at Petco/Vetco. Our puppy Bear got his last round of boosters and rabies vaccine. It's kind of a weird set-up, just in the aisle where people are shopping, but worked for us!

Expansive selection of pet foods, etc. I have noticed that the organization and stock isn't always top tier the past few years, but that's pretty much just the way life is now since the pandemic. I do however enjoy the fellow with the glasses and longer hair, he has a great personality and customer service.

Whoever draws the art for the fish and animals does a great job at this petco. The kids love to see the critters who always seem well cared for. Good fish friendly birds and good service all around. The dog food section was a little cleaned out last time I went.

The only time I ever go here is when Pet Supplies Plus and PetSmart do not have what I'm looking for. This place has gone downhill, the prices are absolutely outrageous. It is mind-boggling to me that they don't have a treat for your dog when you check out. Unbelievably cheap company.

Logan is just a wonderful cup of tea. He has so much knowledge in the pet world and helps you thoroughly make decisions on products in the store before your purchase. Our dog just had TPLO surgery and is allergic to all proteins. I needed bones for her to keep her busy and her mind off the pain. I'd also like to mention the lady at the checkout counter. I don't know he name but I visit frequently and she never rushes me off the counter always helps is patient when I use my vital care and is so nice. She has braids and awesome nails she's glittery. Thanks for great service

Competitive pricing and plenty of good treats for the doggos. Petco app is nice for online orders. I like walking through the reptile and fish section before shopping, and occasionally playing with the ferrets.

Use their pet grooming for our two Yorkies. Heidi is the most warm, welcoming and concientious groomer. We love her and is why we keep coming back!!

My large breed dog has been groomed here multiple times in the past; no issues. I brought him in today to Madison; she has never met our dog before. Our dog was already signed up for the de-matting package. She took one look at him (he is all brushed out w/a few mats behind ears and on belly) and came up w/one excuse after another as to why she couldn’t take him. First she didn’t think he could get on the table (yet he could all previous times??) so then she focused on the mats behind the ears and said a vet needed to shave them and gave him a special comb. I said please just give him a bath, forget the mats. Nope! “can’t get the mats wet”, it’s “a liability”. I said he goes swimming all the time. We can cut the mat out ourselves. It was just obvious to us that she didn’t want to take our dog today. One excuse after another. Perhaps because it’s a Sunday?? Her other co-workers have never hesitated to take our dog. Where is HER 24-hour notice to cancel the appointment?? Very disappointed. Will go elsewhere and will let others know about our experience here.

This place isn't bad. Let me start with that. However, it is understaffed. Also, make sure to check the prices of your items. I went to buy a collar for my pup. There was a whole aisle of them. On the wall under every single row of collars, there were price stickers ranging from $15 to $30+ . My husband and I found one we liked in the $15 grouped area. We got to the counter and it rang in at $19.99. I looked down and sure enough the back said $19.99. I explained that I was confused on price because of the giant price stickers on the wall of the row. The gentleman running register went to go check the price, but "couldn't find my particular collar". He asked if I wanted to go show him. However there was a line of 4 people now, and he was the only register. Even though I didn't really have the extra to spend, I just went with it to ease frustration all the way around. It also seemed like he was running the whole front end.At PetSmart, the employee would have simply said, "Sorry for the confusion" and change the price at the register.Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to be going back to PetCo anytime soon.

I have told so many people about the service in your store. Despite one bad apple's attitude problem I can't say enough...everything from grooming, returns,and they're always there to help and don't need to be hunted down. This is a rare 5 star rated review for SERVICE only! They truly look like they like their job...it makes me so much more inclined as a customer to return to this service driven store.And they got rid of that snippy cashier!Good call...one bad 🍎 has a tendency to spoil the bunch🍌

I have been coming to this Petco for 10 months as I took back up the aquatic hobby and they have very lovely, knowledgeable and competent staff in fish. So great in fact, that I have been meaning to write a review for ages, but always seem to forget. But just now, I opened a box with an aquarium stand in it and couldn’t find the hardware.I called the store and Heather was kind enough to check a box, make sure the hardware was in it, then told me the hardware was in a box that maybe I threw away accidentally. I did! I apparently am so tired from hosting 10 people for Thanksgiving last night that my brain is missing. I was so embarrassed but she didn’t make me feel badly and didn’t make me feel like I wasted the time of hers that I did. Everyone in that fish department that I have ever encountered is great, tanks always clean and really nicely scaped for holding style tanks. A+

Forest wonders may be small but they are large in customer service. I bought a 120 gallon tank and unfortunately the wrong tank cover came. They worked and worked it took them several months but they got the correct top for me. They delivered the tank 45 minutes away from their store and set it up for me. They came back several months later and delivered the top to me. Outstanding service I cannot say enough if you need to shop for fish or pets make this your go-to place. Friendly excellent service
