This is hands down my favorite store in all the Berkshires. Isabel and Bernie took a good store and, over the past three years, made it iconic. Step by step they modernized it, reimagined the offerings, staffed it with a wonderful team.When most of us were staying home during the pandemic years, they showed up every day, demonstrating to the community that when you are essential, and food certainly is, you serve even at your own peril. Thank you.Contrast it to what we typically find now in the food deserts we call our small towns. At the local "marts" you'll find highly processed foods that are terrible for you. Here, at Loeb's, you can delight in local breads, fresh meats, sandwiches made with love, organic vegetables, food staples that are good for you. All at prices that are reasonable! Who knew it was possible. Bernie, Isabel, all I want for Christmas is for every small town in America to have a store, and store owners, with your vision and dedication to the hard work of being the best you can be. Keep it up. You make the challenge of greatness look so simple when in reality it is an art form.

Located in the heart of Lenox's Village, Loeb's is great for ordering fresh made sandwiches, roasted chicken, and other homemade foods at the deli counter. Good for a quick grocery shop as well as seasonal local fruits and veggies and Berkshire's Best local foods.In season there are a few outdoor tables to eat at and across the street at Lilac Park there are benches and a few picnic tables as well as local music on certain days of the week in the fall and summer.

One stop shop! Loebs always has everything I need to get. Which is so relieving after a long day and I just want to go home and get dinner done! Quick in and out. I don't buy burger anywhere else. And you won't either after you've had it. Cranberry chicken salad to die for, yummiest sandwiches and friendly faces. I love Loebs!!

Small town grocery store with a pretty wide selection, including unusual items. Great sandwiches and picnic items, which can be ordered ahead, full liquor selection, pastries. Meats, vegetables. Surprising selection for a small place.

We used to love coming here for our sandwiches and other small things here and there. But in the past several months, each time we’ve come in, the quality hasn’t been there. We’ve heard there’s been new owners and maybe that’s it. But there’s no excuse to be charging more money and offering less. Our order has been wrong each time and there’s less meat, the bread cold or stale. Just a huge disappointment to go from some of the best around to not wanting to come back. What’s more frustrating is when we called to address the concern we were told it’s due to training new hires. Management is clearly different and training different. The integrity of these small old school places that people know and love is unfortunately a thing of the past. That’s the third strike for us, and will not be back.

The deli is very good. I really enjoy their sandwiches. Tip..if you're up from NYC and order a Hero it translates into a club roll. So order 2 sandwiches if you are planning on sharing. They have outdoor tables so if visiting with dogs you can eat out there. They sell wine and liquor. They have a tiny asain food selection which has all your basics and tasty seaweed chips. I note this as it's unusual for small town grocery. Finally, you can get Boston and NYC newspapers.

The Deli Sandwiches! I lived in Lenox over a decade ago and have dreamed of Loeb's sandwiches ever since. I'm not back and I get one at least once per week. It's all about the bread, and their homemade french bread is the most delicious thing on the planet. Best deli sandwich I've ever had.

Parking there is a absolute nightmare. Food is awesome and very reasonably priced, but avoid the location at all costs, for the very limited to non existing parking during the summer weekends.

I was in town for the Lenox Art Walk and stopped in for a coffee and newspaper. I’m always on the lookout for a new lunch spot and this place has a great deli with homemade sandwiches/subs.It reminds me of the local grocery store in the 60’s before big box stores.Saturday I had an egg salad wrap ( excellent) and Sunday, one of their creations with chicken on a fresh roll, also great.Stop in and check out Loeb’s if you’re in the area.

I love Loeb's! The food is sooo good , fresh and just like home cooked meals. They pay attention to details and cook meals to perfection. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. I come here for lunch often and recommend the oven roasted chicken!

Staff is very helpful with finding things in store and the deli sandwiches/soups are good. The only issue is they usually don't have coffee because they say it's a waste after noon. I would recommend purchasing a self serve coffee machine at that effect

This is a small market which carries only the essentials and usually at slightly higher prices than other nearby big-box grocery stores. But as a family-run business with a small-town vibe, it is absolutely worth your visit.The main attraction is the deli in the back corner of the restaurant. Loeb's deli serves delicious sandwiches; any one of them are worth trying, but my favorite has become the Earl B (turkey, muenster cheese, artichoke hearts, and garlic aioli on French bread... yum). Also check out the rack of fresh baked cookies by the deli counter.

It's nice to find an old-style grocery store in such a quaint town, and to be expected, it's like going back in time to a bygone era of personalized service and small scale, right in the heart of Lenox. Also fun to grab a bite and sit out in the front garden to watch all the activity during summer, especially on busy afternoons before or after Tanglewood performances. Loeb's is the place to be in the center of it all!

Loeb's Foodtown is a fine local market, with big good selection (given its small size), and a friendly staff. It's better for packaged items than for produce and appetizing and the like, but it's a very valuable thing to have right in the center of Lenox.
