You can’t get a better creamery than this! The place is authentic New England with cows on site and views are incredible. The ice cream is with the price you pay so rich and creamy. The milk and butter is also the best quality.the dairy is very generous and donates to local charity.I don’t like the lines so I just buy a pint and get a spoon and eat it straight from the container!

Google Maps identifies this place as an ice cream shop; but wow…that’s just the tip of the ice cream cone… Driving to the farm we passed by many acres of land that are part of this impressive dairy operation, and many dairy cows. The main complex is impressive in scale and the buildings reminiscent of something one might imagine in Bavaria. In addition to the milking barn and other collateral areas, there is a small farm store offering High Lawn and other specialty products (fresh milk; the house ice creams packed in containers; various cheeses made on the premises; meat; honey; breads; etc. Some pretty amazing ice cream is available next to the parking area (just outside the farm store). If you’re interested in interacting with some friendly dairy cows, some are kept in a fenced area — the cows will come up to the fence.

Wow! I visited with a group and we loved the ice cream, cheeses, and (of course) meeting all the cows. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable; we learned a lot about the history of High Lawn, the cheesemaking process, and what makes these Jersey cows so special. The technology at the farm is so interesting too. No surprise that they've been around 100 years and are still making huge strides forward!

What a nice dairy farm to visit. There were pumpkins and cheeses and cows of all ages. We never did find where they milked the cows. Our 2 year old grandson now likes 🐄 cows almost as much as pigs 🐖 .Kid-friendliness: Cows and calves to pet.

This is one of my favorite places in the world. I love getting a cheese board and sitting out with the beautiful view of the mountains. The ice cream is delicious as well, especially the purple cow flavor. I love seeing the cows and especially the calves. They are so sweet. I'd love to take a tour or have some more informative material to read about the cows but otherwise I love this place and look forward to going back whenever I can.

The flavour is very strong, clear sign of quality gelato. Portions are massive too, good deal for the price. However it isn’t super creamy, I’d say possibly too frozenThe farm is wonderful to look around and the cheese taste terrific

What a lovely farm! Getting to see the calves was so fun. We came on a fortuitous day, as there was a cheese festival going on! We left with the makings of a delicious cheese board and bellies full of best ice cream we'd had in a lot time--and plenty of pictures of sweet baby cows!

Amazing, amazing farm. First, you get to see baby cows and they’re extremely cute and social- like puppies. Second, the grounds are gorgeous and picturesque. Third, the ice cream is bonkers good. Fourth, the store is amazing and has awesome goodies including pints of ice cream, milk, butter, cheese, meats, jams, honey, bread, etc. Fifth, everyone is exceptionally nice. I will be stopping here every chance I get.

Ice cream was delicious and filling. $5 for a one scoop and an extra dollar for a waffle cone. It was so cool to see the many cows! Very great experience

Not my favorite ice cream but lets just say I have very high standards when it comes to ice cream. They do have a good amount of flavors and they a big selection of cheeses. We were going to try a platter it honestly is just so expensive. I am not sure what the portions would've been so maybe it was worth it but personally it wasn't for me. The reason for this many stars for not my favorite ice cream and in my opinion overpriced everything, are the calves!! You can touch the baby cows and its the best. They are so cute and look very well taken care of which is a plus and why I gave this many stars. If the money is going to them then okay I will definitely come back and have another ice cream. Very clean farm. I was too excited with the calves that I never got a picture, next time, and you'll just have to see for yourself!

This is a place for you, your kids and your grandma, and / or a first date.It is visually stunning to be here. The pastures seem to go on forever, clean and serene. It is outdoorsy enough that you can be outside and enjoying the views with your ice cream for a short walk. But also, there js enough to do indoors to take shelter from hot or heat.We loved the calf room. You have unfettered access to the very cute. Very lovable babies. The girls outside are beautiful and friendly, as well. The star here is the ice cream. The PURPLE COW ice cream is an absolute stunner. Berry forward, creamy and rich. This is (evidently) what ice cream is supposed to be. Treatt yourself. Your kids. Your grandma, to a cone. This is a quiet breath of fresh air, perfect for all ages.

We were visiting Stockbridge and I searched for places for ice cream for my kids. I was not prepared for the AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS food that awaited us at High Lawn Farm.First of all, driving up I felt like I was transported to a different country or a different time. We got to see the baby cows out eating. They are so friendly! We went for ice cream and tried cookies n cream, sweet cream, and strawberry. WOW! So fresh and creamy, everyone finished theirs and wanted more!My husband said he wanted to try some cheese so we did the try 3 board. That is my only regret, because I should have gone for the try 5 option! We did Wild Field (sharp like cheddar but buttery), High Lawn Queen (creamy and brie-like), and mild salami (still a little kick to it but my older kids handled it). The onion chutney and Quince paste included on the board are SO GOOD! If I cannot find if they share or sell their recipe, i know I will be spending a considerable amount of time trying to recreate the delicious depths of flavors found in them.We just had them today and already I'm thinking of how I can get more. We were just passing through and live over 2,000 miles away but I had to get this off my chest in hopes that anyone who is considering stopping by High Lawn Farm will do so.

Ice cream was amazing. Creamiest and most delicious strawberry ice cream I've ever had. Got there later in the day so unfortunately we couldn't see the cows. But the views and the property were beautiful. Only thing that took away from the experience and I'm not really sure if there's a fix for it but the amount of bees was crazy and we actually had to go back into our car and finish our ice cream because the bees wouldn't leave us alone.

The perfect place to stop and get ice cream in the berkshires. They also sell a cheese and charcuterie board that you can mix and match and have a perfect picnic outing with the rolling hills and mountains in the background. With the clock Tower and barn, you feel like you were in the Swiss alps. The ice cream is great and the flavors change on a rotating basis. They also have a store where they sell milk, ice cream and pints to go, cheese, and other local food. You can bring your dog and sit out on the lawn as well. The cows are in the pastures and barns next door and you can walk and take a look at them as well.

Beautiful working farm that's fun to visit with nice countryside views. There's also a farm store with meat, cheese, ice cream and local goods along with an ice cream stand selling treats made with the farm's milk.

This was great! The ice cream was so yummy. We also purchased a small cheese plate to go and some blue cheese and they were all really good. After our ice cream we checked out the baby cows. This place was a big hit with the kiddos - did I mention the ice cream?

Petting cows today was the highlight of my day. I had the mccoconut and ginger ice cream which was phenomenal. I particularly loved that you can get 2 flavors for a "single" scoop. My boyfriend got the mint chocolate chip and said that it was delicious, he just wished it was a little bit more minty. The kids all loved their flavors. I will definitely make an effort to stop here any time I'm driving by Lee.

Great place to visit on a summer weekday afternoon. Small shop has cheese and delicious ice cream which is very much worth the price (they allow two flavors in one "scoop," be sure to indulge! Plenty of room to roam and see the cows. Be sure to stop in the nursery where you can see the youngest members of the "family" up close and personal (hand wash sink very accessible).

A picturesque dairy farm in the beautiful Berkshires that lets you say Hi to the cows and shop a variety of dairy products at the farm store. The homemade ice cream alone is worth the trip from Albany. TBH I'd drive all the way from Boston, Montreal or Manhattan for it, but that's just me.Pick a nice day to visit, so you can stroll the grounds and watch the herd grazing in the meadow. Wear a mask and social-distance in close quarters as appropriate, and you'll have a great time.Bring your appetite, your family, good mood, a camera, and be ready to fall in love with some beautiful and well cared for Jersey cows...and that ice cream! Please Like👍 if you found this review helpful!
