This particular Dollar General is very well stocked, orderly and houses helpful cheery staff, ample well placed parking, as well as the expected fair to low prices you'd expect to find in this chain.It's only real drawbacks are its out of the way location, but it is on a main road and is great if it's already between or near the place you are already heading.I personally have never had a hard time getting in and out quickly or been disappointed in variety of its stock (especially considering its smaller building size).Over all this store gets a healthy thumbs up.

Enjoyed shopping got alot. A little messy though no way to do price checks machine was broke. Cashier was a little put out I asked for price check did not take items. They could do better would more help and cleaning up a little.

They always have so much good stuff, especially around the holiday's! You can do all of your decorating shopping here, and a lot of your DIY items as well for a quarter of the cost! Plus the food/snacks are a fraction of the price as what the grocery store would cost you. Total $ & time saver, bonus that its all in 1 location so you don't have to run from store to store!

Nice store it is we stop there on our way home from visiting a friend in Pittsfield and we needed to pick up a few items in the store had exactly what we needed cheese doodles salsa chips soda milk. Also hard candies we got was butterscotch candy. And the employees are very friendly.

Some of the prices are low, some are higher than even grocery store prices. There is a fast (!!!) turnover of employees. Almost everyone is different than a year ago. Donna is by far the friendliest current employee. She always smiles and greets you every time you're in there, even if she is busy. Other employees could take lessons from her, for sure! The rest barely look at you, and never offer help. I have to initiate the "hello" and "have a nice day".

Place is a disaster they never keep the store clean and with covid the employees are never wearing masks properly or in one case not at all. It's a shame the other dollar generals I go to are not this way so it has to be the manager of that store that doesn't take pride in the store or keeping its customers happy and comfortable shopping there.

This specific Dollar General is the most organized one I've been to. I always stop on my way home because it's conviently located and I can get in and out fast. The manager is always busting his butt putting everything out and it's much appreciated

Only thing good here is the associates. U-Boats full of stock all over the store EVERY DAY! So bad at times they have an entire isle closed down because it is full of U-Boats.It is so bad, most isles are NO LONGER ADA COMPLAINT!!

It's a great little store with a good selection of things I need and much closer to my home than some of the bigger stores. The staff is always nice, polite and helpful.

As always, Dollar General is a convenient place to pick up household staples, basic groceries, otc medicines and the like. All the kind of stuff I normally get at Walmart, on days when I don't have the time or patience for dealing with a huge parking lot and massive store. Dollar General is small, the parking is right in front, and the prices are comparable to Walmart. Obviously the selection is much smaller and they don't sell bulk items, but it's a handy backup when you're in a hurry.

I was in line at the Dollar General in Lanesborough today and this woman getting cashed out in front of me purchases a bottle of isopropyl alcohol, which was held behind the counter, and the worker asked the lady if she wanted 70% or 90%. The worker then proceeded to write down the customers name because she was a “regular” and said they were saving products (such as toilet paper, lysol, and isopropyl alcohol) for specific customers to buy. This is not right, especially at a time like this. Employees should not be able to set aside product for certain people to buy it. It should be first come, first serve.When i proceeded to the register (with a different cashier, named Lou) I had asked for a bottle of 90% isopropyl alcohol, the man, Lou, at the register told me he would have to get it off the truck and it would take about 20 minutes. I said “that lady at the other register just bought a bottle of it?” and he just kept saying “i don’t know, it’s somewhere on the shipment truck and it will take 20 minutes to find.” I didn’t understand this because I had just witnessed a lady purchasing a bottle seconds before this interaction.This is just pure laziness because the box of alcohol was right there behind the counter the whole time.Highly recommend going to the dollar general in Cheshire rather than Lanesborough.

Tried to get on the DG app to get our discounts, but Wi-Fi was not working, also could not get data even outside of store. They could easily do much better. Could learn a lesson from stores in nearby NY.

To much merchandise in the isles makes it hard to shop ...the workers are nice and helpful ...maybe you should have built a bigger store very cramp or maybe You need more help ??
