These guys are fantastic. They have significantly in my long process of setting up and maintaining my first 125 gallon tank. The fish they sell are all very healthy and well kept. The owners are unbelievably knowledgeable so easy to ask for advice. Will be using these guys for all my plants, decor, and fish for as long as they are around. Keep up all the hard work you guys do to tend to all the large variety of fish you carry. Looking forward to my next visit

I didn't go for myself, but was with a person served in my work program. The individual is in a wheelchair and it can, at times, be difficult getting him entry into buildings. The staff at Lovely Pets Aquarium were so accommodating; holding doors, giving access through the designated emergency entrance, and welcoming us.Once inside, the sales associates were very attentive; responding to all inquiries and making suggestions.You'd be surprised (I was) at how much there is to know about aquatic life for home aquariums.The Kingston area where the store is located is quaint and lovely. One associate recommended we try a few places, particularly a newly opened bakery in the area.More could be said but enough for now. If you're looking specifically to purchase fish and supplies for your aquarium, this is a highly recommended place to go.

This place is great! Steve and his wife run the shop and they couldn't be any nicer to deal with. They're very knowledgeable on everything they sell (and don't have). I was setting up a new African Cichlid tank and had made countless visits buying a bunch of different pieces and ultimately fish. They were patient with my numerous trips to look around or ask questions. I selected each of my fish which were handled with care. This is an all around good local fish store which I like to support VS a corporate chain. It's definitely worth visiting even if you're not close by. You won't be disappointed

I loovvee this place!! I am new to the saltwater tank hobby and was having trouble with my new tank. They gave me some really good advice that I followed and now my tank is thriving and I finally have corals in there too!! Can't say enough about how awesome this place is!! They really care about there customers and there fish I travel a little bit of distance to this store and its really paying off 10 out of 10 all around:)

Entered the shop with high expectations and was not disappointed. The owner was very knowledgable about the guppys he sold us. He has a long history in tropical fish after starting his business in Quincy Ma. years ago. When someone owns and runs his own shop the service you receive will be the very best. You can't get the same attention and caring from someone in a chain store. My wife and I will be doing our business exclusively with LovelyPet Aquarium. Mark Anderson

Hands down best independent aquatics store I have ever seen in this area!All staff were exceptionally friendly (well the cat was a little picky with people 😆).I found a great selection for aquascaping and saw all stocking options in great health!I was encouraged when I asked to see a plant's roots before picking it, and they double checked that I knew how to prep my driftwood!Prices were on par with a great deal for the quality you are getting too!They carried all the best foods too.I added some pictures of the water hyacinths, baby banana plant, and driftwood from here in some of my tanks.I think I just found my regular aquatics store, can't wait to go again!-Sam

Have gone here twice and they never seem to have what I need for my aquarium. They have a great selection of fish but if you’re looking for setup materials and supplies you’re better off going elsewhere.

I grew up going to the Quincy location years ago with my father and always loved the experience, flash forward 25 years and I recently started a tank for my daughter and I and had to look them up. They're a pet friendly store, with the family cat and dog assisting my daughter. They had an excellent selection of beautiful cichlids, were super helpful and knowledgeable as well as a good selection of tank equipment (I needed and older style florescent tank light which I was having trouble locating in a store and was going to order a more expensive one online but they saved me time and $ which I got another fish with). My daughter loved her 1st fish store experience and even though their about 45 min from my house, I will ABSOLUTELY be returning, thank you for the wonderful experience!

This place is the absolute best of showing owner pride and being a small business that you want to support. I got into salt water aquariums a few months ago and had zero clue on what I was doing. They have been incredibly informative along the way and I can see when my fish get stressed due to water conditions. I go there and they tell me what I should do and my tank gets right back into shape. Would highly recommend over the chain stores. Better people, better products.

Great local family owned shop. Informative and honest. New to the hobby and got yourself something that out grew the tank because you didn't know any better? Give them a call. If they have space they can usually help you rehome the fish. Very kind folks

The absolutely best location for aquarium needs anywhere on the south shore. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and the livestock are always healthy and I've never had issues with anything. They also do special orders and have a pretty good salt water collection. Prices are certainly higher than big box stores, sometimes twice as much, but it's more than worth it to introduce healthy, clean, reliable livestock every time.I should also note they have a really interesting contact rotating variety of fish and shrimp!

One of the few solid aquarium shops in town. They are very fish focused. So, while it may not be the best place for equipment, it is the best place for actual fish. Great selection. Well cared for. Fresh, salt, and pond; they stock it all. All sizes, leviathan to minnow. You will find a fish to match your tank.

Great place to get fresh water tank fish and salt water tank fish. The gorgeous kitty that roams around the store is super cute and friendly ! The owners are so lovely to speak with !

I waited about a year to give this review. I am very pleased with the quality and health of both the fish and plants I purchased. The prices reflect the high quality. Each of there tanks are individually filtered for healthy fish and plants. Everyone there is super friendly and very helpful in deciding whats right for your needs. So much so they turned my daughter into an aquarist. Its very therapeutic for her. Thanks to everyone there.

I used to go to their Quincy, MA location and just visited Kingston for the 1st time last night. A little bigger so better selection and more spread out. Staff, from owner down, are VERY nice, polite and knowledgeable. All the marine life are extremely well maintained and healthy unlike most other places. Would highly recommend visiting/shopping here! Definitely going back for my saltwater tank asap 👍😁

I love this store. I use to go when they were located in Quincy and now I started visiting the Kingston store. The staff have always been super knowledgeable and helpful. I'm currently having a pH issue with my tank and they helped with suggestions to lower it. The fish and plants are super healthy. They have a wide variety of both fresh and salt water fish. I love this store.
