White Farms Ice Cream in Ipswich has been around for over 50 years and is a place I frequented as a kid. Now, whenever I travel back to this area it is a Must stop for great ice cream. They have over 50 flavors of home-made ice cream both hard and soft serve. Any variation of chocolate is my choice, especially the Chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup while my wife likes the Almond Joy. Prices are fair and the quantity is large. They are easily identified by the cow on the roof. Plenty of tables for seating and an outdoor tent for shade from the summer sun. Mini golf is also available.

Located just up the road from the Clam Box of Ipswich, White Farms is a classic New England ice cream stand with a cow on the roof that has been serving up scoops for over a half-century. Fans of brain freezes are in luck, as White Farms serves up hefty scoops of light, airy ice cream that can be eaten in much greater quantities than its heavy, butter-fat laden counterparts.

Homemade ice cream and a lot of variety. The ice cream is so good, and they give you a lot, all you need is a half kiddie. Ice cream scooper was very helpful, let us taste all the flavors we wanted.Loved the red raspberry chip and cocojamocha.Cash only ☹, ATM on site.Love the sizing, 1/2 kiddie, kiddie, small, large.

We get so excited when White Farms opens each spring. The ice cream is always delicious and the servers are usually very nice. This year, I hope to add a round of mini putt putt as well.

An icon for those of us lucky enough to have grown up in the area. Loved it as a kid. Still love it today. Homemade ice cream with a flavor for everyone. Hopefully it'll be there every time I come back to visit. Luv, luv, luv the chocolate chocolate chip on a sugar cone. Big chocolate chips and a dark chocolate flavor ice cream. If you're a chocohotlic this is the flavor and place for you. 💖👍😊

We purchased hand packed ice cream to take to a dinner event and the staff at white farms was super nice. The quality of the ice cream was great. Size of the overpack was fun and a conversation starter at dinner. The selection of flavors is really extensive so your bound to find one you like. Plenty of parking. Outside picnic tables. They could improve with signage explaining where they source the ingredients from, for example local (what farm?) or not and organic or not.

They had a lot of interesting homemade flavors. I chose "outrageous" which was a chocolate ice cream with HUGE brownie chunks and chocolate chips. It was a little pricey for me, a kiddie size being $6. Still delicious.

The ice cream here is good, but they never seem to have soft serve. I'm a big fan of the ginger ice cream, and just about every other flavor. It's also cash only. Great spot to stop for a refreshment after antiquing or beaching it for the day.

My friend's ice cream looked tasty, although it melted quickly on a 73° day. Unfortunately my family couldn't try anything. Online, the posts showed soft serve and slush options, neither of which did they actually have available when we were there. When I inquired about the safety precautions for my child with a life-threatening peanut allergy, the server told me she couldn't help us - they had no options for that. So disappointing. We left and went down the street to another place that was much more helpful.

Nice little mini golf place. There were a couple of water features that needed fixing to complete the course but otherwise it was great. The course is short, but it is a little tricky with a lot of curves that fool you. While we didn’t get ice cream we saw the huge list of flavors and prices were comparable to other ice cream shops around us, maybe some items a little cheaper.Tip: If you’re planning to go soon they have not set up the mini golf as separate, so to play you need to go ask at the ice cream store.

First of all, White Farms has maple walnut ice cream which my sister loves. She said it was wonderful. The black raspberry frozen yogurt was creamy and delicious. The young lady that waited on us was very nice.😊

Great ice cream, frozen yogurts, frappes, cold drinks etc. Good variety of flavors of ice cream, yogurts etc. Prices very reasonable. Portions are big..picnic tables available to sit in the shade. Very relaxing place to go and miniature golf on sight. Customer service is great...

Extremely disappointed. This place used to be great, but this year something changed. The ice cream is terribly flavored now and not anywhere near as good as it used to be. Noticed a lot less fillings too, so they probably did something to cut back on costs. It's a lower quality ice cream now.Too bad...we won't be going back here for ice cream anymore. We've tried twice this season and all my family members noticed the difference each time. Shame.

When I was younger this was my favorite place but I don't know if it is new owners or what after the golf was put in the ice scream took the back seat. Everytime we go we have frozen spots in the ice scream or crystals. The flavor taste old like it melted and refreeze.Staff is always friendly and sweet. Hope they can get better freezers for their ice scream.

My husband and I loved this little place! The staff was very nice, and the ice cream was very yummy! We found a picnic table by some nice trees and enjoyed the outdoors while we sat and ate our treats. I would love to stop by again the next time we are in town!

Bay circuit trail is right behind this icecream shop its a total of 5 mile to the farm and back though the woods good time. Ice cream is home made had the yogurt peppermint patty big chucks of dark chocolate very good!

Decent prices for how much icecream you get. The mini golf section is in rough shape though. We didnt get a chance to try Jules kitchen, but have heard great things so we will be back!

The ice cream is delicious and the portions are huge. There is a large selection and some fun, different flavors. Staff is friendly. Miniature golf is fun, quick little activity on a nice day.

It was so hard to decide between all the amazing flavors, but the ice cream scooper recommended her favorite (caramel cow) and I LOVED it. I also got reverse chocolate chip and it was incredible. The only difficulties are that it is cash only (though there is an ATM) and that it isn't close to anything.

I feel disloyal to my home state of Maine, but this is the best ice cream I've had, period. If you are anywhere near White Farms and the temperature is anywhere above freezing, get yourself a cone of their homemade. It's probably good below freezing too.
