I had a hard-to-match paint that I needed for my barn. It was a custom color and I didn’t have the formula. I had bought a couple of 5 gallon containers of the paint at a big box store, where they were having a sale, but they couldn’t match the color ( their paint people were not very knowledgeable and if it wasn’t in the computer they couldn’t do it). Mark took a lot of time to get it just right, making several attempts until he nailed it. I appreciate his patience and knowledge. Their prices may be a little higher but you get what you pay for.

I can't say enough good things about Tedford's. John and Mark have helped us throughout our home renovation project by working with our contractor directly and helping us with many decisions along the way. Their responsiveness and same-day service set them apart.

I've shopped for home improvement supplies and general hardware at Telford's on a very regular basis since moving to Ipswich in 2013. The store has always had in stock exactly what I've needed and the staff has availed themselves to me whenever I've had a question. The store is organized and clean. Jenny, at the checkout, is always pleasant and helpful. This morning, I shopped for wall paint and Mark M in the paint deot gave me tasteful guidance. Everyone is helpful and respectful. A great hardware store.

I picked up some wire that I ordered. Other than the grocery store, one of the first in store visits anywhere that I've made in over a year. Felt very comfortable, staff friendly and extremely helpful. I am going to be needing more wire and will definitely be purchasing from Tedford's, along with anything else I need. Fabulous hardware store!

Great store, Great people. Tedford's is a hometown, community store unlike the big box stores at the mall or the other place across town. You get personal, friendly service from all of Tedford's employees. Not only that, but the owners Mark and John are usually on the floor helping customers as well. If you have a question on a DIY project, they are more than happy to help you plan it and order any materials you may need. They will even deliver them for you. Service is what you get at Tedford's, no matter how big or small your project is. That is the True Value of Tedford's!

Love the store. The store looks small, but I am often amazed by how much they carry. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are reasonable. I order more and more on truevalue.com and pick up the ordered items at the store (shipping is free). This combines the online store's advantage of large selection and local store's convenience.

Looking around our home i noticed that of the 7 total doors we had 5 different styles of door knobs. I went to Tedfords to get them all to match. Josh was there to help me out. Not only did he give me 5 more of the ones that i had that i liked, he was able to rekey the front and back door new ones so i didn't have to give all new keys to my family. Much appreciated Tedfords, above and beyond. Thank you

I have been going to Tedford's for over twenty years. Sometimes it's a big order of lumber or building materials, sometimes it's for 2 or 3 little screws. The staff have always been friendly, helpful, and accommodating for special needs.

Place down the street (fake hardware store) doesn't even have full size Sheetrock...? Tedfords does and helps you load it. Good hardware store with what you need when you need it. Don't bother going to the other place it's just a waste of time

Very unprofessional. I called asking about car keys, and the person who answered said "we can do it, but not if there is a chip", an unclear statement as car keys can have simple wireless communication chips, or a key fob with a UWC/NFC chip for starting the engine. Upon asking for clarification, the representative hung up on me instead of referring my call to someone who knows the answer.

We love this place. It is convenient and sometimes you think it's going to be more expensive than the big box stores but it's not. The people working there are usually very friendly.
