Honestly this is the worst Grocery store ever. There is no accountability. These fruits were for my kids for their lunch this week. The managers suck at the Shaws!!! They really need to stop leaving work at 3pm and put it sum overtime. Because ur employees don't care. The blueberries were old. I threw them out already that's y I didn't take a picture. 3 different fruits. All old and moldy. Just closed that store please. Everyone go to Stop n Shop!!!!!

This store has been here for years and they recently revamped the inside of the store and redesigned it. 22 Aisles this store has and you'll find everything you are looking for. The 32 bus stops right next to it going to Wolcott Square and if you need to catch the 32 bus going to Forest Hills Station it's across the street from the parking lot exit of this store. Safe neighborhood. A lot of Hyde Park, Roslindale, Readville and Jamaica Plain residents shop here.

I have been coming to this location for almost 14 yrs. I appreciate their kindness, the store has what I need ALL the time. Pretty good supermarket. Large, has got a wide array of selections. Light is kept a bit dimmer than I would expect, but I actually kind of like that. Wish it had self check out tho

Bought their pre-packaged provolone, took it home and it was covered in mold. Absolutely disgusting, this is NOT the first time it's happened to me. Forever lost a customer.

Not my normal location, so navigation of the isle's was a challenge. The main reason this location is getting a 3 is the men's room was the worst I've seen/smelt in years... the smell would likely leave some vomiting, and when I said something about it to an employee.."they still haven't cleaned it, I will tell them again"Ample parking, friendly and helpful associates , competitive prices and descent items in stock.

Recently revamped the place and it honestly is such a huge improvement. The employees seem like they get along with one another, always nice to see people smiling together. Im glad to say i live near this shaws, even if it is a bit pricier than some other grocery stores

Thought I was just running in for 2 items stayed in line way to long. Watched employees chat it up with only a few registers open. Walked out with my items FREE! No urgency here. Will spend my money somewhere I enjoy. I didn't work all week to be frustrated to spend my money. Thanks for the stale bread.

Always great sales and fresh produce. Also grilled chicken a favorite of mine made in the store!. You can find just about Anything at Shaw's 😃👍April is Always there and is such a Pleasant person. She really cares about her store and it s customers💯 🤗👍

Decent selection, but substantially inferior in breadth and quality compared to Wegmans, Roche Bros, or Whole Foods. Prices range from moderately discounted to moderately overpriced. Decent selection of basics in the produce, meat, seafood, and deli departments, but each one is noticeably lacking in the less common items. The butchers are rarely available at the counter, seem to purposely avoid interacting with customers, and are unhelpful for obtaining any cuts that aren't already packaged (I couldn't even get them to sell me some pork fat). The Shaw's app allows for browsing the store's inventory to see what's in stock, but it's untrustworthy due to numerous persistent inaccuracies (including items that are listed as in-stock but which Customer Service reveals to be not even sold at this store). Overall, the experience of shopping here leaves much to be desired.

Oscco Pharmacy still operates under Shaws, Decided to transfer all Scripts here and just for doing so I received gift cards to shop, ( after transferring a certain amount of scripts. It's also convenient with plenty of parking. 10/27/22 Shaw's has completely rearranged a lot of their Isles. If you're shopping in a hurry, give yourself some extra time to locate what you need.

I usually do most of my grocery shopping at this location. I find the selection and quality of goods to be quite impressive. The prices are usually not too high. My biggest complaint is how my items are bagged and then the wait time. It seems like every since we had to supply or buy bags, the baggers have forgotten what items to bag together or separately. I understand this issue when the shopper does not have bags to bag properly. I always have more than enough bags with me but I get bags containing chips and gallon jug of milk together ,my bread, cooked items and bloody meats together, frozen items with my boxed items. Those were only a few examples of the bagging. I shop here at least 4-5 times a month and its rare that my items are properly bagged. The wait time has gotten a bit better recently. I have to wonder if it's because bagging is being done so haphazardly.

Not that many people shop here on the weekend. It's less crowded. Sale signs are clearly marked on shelves as indicated on weekly ads. This store has many different varieties of freshly baked cookies to choose from at a good price. There are no self-check out registers. Shoppers pay 10 cents per plastic bag if not bringing own bags.

This Store literally Has to be the worst location in the state. The shelves are always missing items it has a funny smell to it soon as you walk in and almost no employees working ever so you’re constantly in a long line it doesn’t matter what day of the week it is or time of day you will wait no less than 10 minutes no matter the amount of items you’re buying .And on top Of all that they seem to hire these old grouchy women that are always complaining about The job and loud enough for customers to hear .You’re better off driving to Dedham

I have been going to Shaw’s for years, and love the Hyde Park location. The store is clean, well equipped and staff for the most part are friendly. As with any other Shaw’s, some items maybe on the expensive side, but love that it’s not always crowded as other local supermarkets. I will say that the scales in the seafood section should be updated as they are usually off.

This store location seems to have limited stock. The freezer aisles are small. There might be a huge possiblity an item you are looking for isn't carried. The lines may be long as well. Only 2 lanes were open when I was last there.

We found many bargain pricings at this store, and fresh fruits and vegetables. It has a weekly digital "Clip Deal" which you can get amazingly cheap price for certain food and vegetable items if you install a Shaws app. For example, a pineapple for 97 cents!Customer service is excellent! I was looking for a "turkey-cooking" saran bag (a high-temperature resistant clear plastic bag), and the store manager stopped what he was working on to look for this item for me. He walked around his store for almost 5 minutes and found it! This saved me a lot of time.😊Do I recommended this local supermarket? Surely!

AVOID THIS SHAWS - Worst experience with the manager at this location very unprofessional and rude, does not even wear a name tag. I bought the wrong formula for my nephew at a different Shaws but the Hyde Park Shaws is closer to my house. I went in to exchange the formulas, the cashier at customer service was helpful and proceeded on starting the process to exchange. When the manager in plain clothes with no name tag or anything that indicates he works for Shaw's what so ever came over very rude without even saying who he was to begin with, he told the cashier to not exchange the formula for me as I asked why couldn’t I? he told me to go back to the store I bought it from and return it there, I explained to him that this one is closer to me and he then says it’s policy I requested to see the policy and where it stated what he was telling me but he got even more rude and told me he will not continue to help me to leave his store. I refuse to go spend my money at any Shaws after this experience. I could not get the name of the manager either he ignored me when I asked for it

Has a "ghetto vibe" and not very clean. Staff is somewhat helpful but there's a 50/50 shot you will encounter someone that just doesn't care, and don't bring your Bottles and cans for redemption. There's only 3 machines and they almost never work and if they do, they always break 2 mins after you start and good luck getting anyone to help fix them. All in all, there's a stop & shop 5ins down the road that I would recommend more.

Small and a little bit pricey, but it serves well enough as a supermarket. Customers are a bit bonkers. Not the stores fault, though. It is very clean and bright and the employees have been very nice.
